      I have had considerable problems with this bank. I have a personal account with them and tried to work with them to open appropriate accounts with a new business I am opening. I have had considerable problems with this Bank over the years, including rude customer service, failure to deposit legal, negotiable instruments, and multiple failures with its debit card system, which has caused significant problems. I was hoping things would change with these new accounts, which I tried to open at the Middleton location. Things did not change. After introducing himself and playing the "good old country boy" routine, the agent refused to deposit a $48 check that was issued to my previous business, which Johnson Bank provided services for and for which I am the authorized signer. I also asked, as a simple favor, for the Bank to copy a document for me. The response was ridiculous. The Bank would not even make a copy for me and it refused to cash a properly endorsed check that is fully negotiable. This is the third time this happened with this Bank, and each time I was given a different excuse. It gets better. When I challenged the "good old country boy," he became angry and sarcastic, taunting me with fake pleasantries as I walked out. I will not open a business account with this Bank. The level of customer service has proven to be substandard and, at times, incompetent. The public should exercise caution here.

      Racial Profiling!I feel so upset and disappointed with this bank. We have been customers of this bank for more than a decade and not once, I have ever received a call from a cashier agent asking me to verify a check, until yesterday at the Junction Rd branch. I thought Johnson Bank was an inclusive institution and free of discrimination.Our oldest son, who's a respectable realtor, with a college degree, and an entrepreneur, went to this branch to cash a check that I wrote for him. Ohh, did I mention that he's not white? Well, he's not. We have Latino roots, and therefore he looks Latino.The agent made him feel very uncomfortable. She started looking at her computer and she started telling him "Hmm... the last check was number # ?, and your check seems to have skipped a check...hmmm...let me check"... She made him wait for a long period of time checking or investigating what she thought it was a fraud check. While she was wasting my son's precious time, his wife, my daughter in law, who is pregnant, and my granddaughter were waiting for him in the car. At the end, she finally decided to call me just to make sure there was no fraud. I was in the middle of a meeting and I had to put a hold in the meeting because of her. When she called, I immediately told her that it was my son who was cashing the check, but apparently this wasn't enough information for her because she also asked me how much was the sum of the check. I strongly believe my son was racially profiled by your institution and this is very disappointing. All people, from all races should be treated equally. I'm 100% sure that if he would have been white, this cashier would have never call me. He showed his driver's license at the moment, and he signed the check in the back. This is the protocol that most banks follow. One of these days I will ask a white friend to cash a check for the same amount, just like my son did, and I can predict that no one is going to call me. Discrimination needs to stop

      Horrible bank. Horrible customer service. Due to an error on Johnson Bank, they needed to reissue me a check. It has been several months and countless phone calls. They are dragging their feet and do not care about the customers. They have made no progress. I recently had to file a formal complaint with the Federal Reserve and obtain a lawyer. Johnson Bank is a nightmare! Steer clear!
