I have received a number of calls from ************ which is Professional Placement Services. I gave them information over a year ago due to someone using my landline phone number as a contact. I had no idea who the person was that they were asking to speak with. The calls stopped for a short time but have started back up again.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed  response here.] Hi, as I reviewed over this and realized that even though the business stated they had spoken with me, I just want to let them know that that was definitely not me. You have stated that it was not you that we spoke to on 3/28/23 and you were not the person asking for a settlement on this account. PPS has review the account history and the call from that day. The caller stated her name as ******* ****** and verified the date of birth on file associated with the account. The conversation revolved around paying this account by paying in full or settling in full in order to get this deleted from the credit file. This was an inbound call from the phone number ending ************************************************************ your complaint and when our representative asked if the phone number ending **** was the best number to reach you at, the response was that this was the 'perfect number to reach me at'. In your response, you also stated that your identity was stolen a few years back. If you have any details on when that took place or have a police report to show when that was reported, please forward that information to us for review. The validation paperwork has also been sent out to your home address so you should see that in a few days. If you would like to speak to someone in our office, please call ************ for assistance.

Professional Placement Services (PPS) is hired by Advocate Aurora Health (AAH) to collect on debt that is owed to them. In your comments, you mention the date of April 6, 2022. This is the date that the account was placed with PPS. The services provided by AAH were prior to the date that it was listed in our office. You also mention that the account is not yours. If you feel like there is some type of fraud situation that has occurred, you can contact AAH at ************ to have a fraud investigation started. But due to the new rules that go into effect later this month surrounding medical debt on credit reports, PPS will send a request to the credit reporting agencies to have this removed. If you have questions, please call us at ************.
