Johnson Controls provides burglar alarm services for our place of business in *******************. We have been having various technical issues with our system for the past 6-9 months and each time customer support has been abysmal. Their automated phone system has been reconfigured numerous times over the past year and each iteration has been grossly inefficient. It is currently structured to route the incoming calls to a call center, where the representatives have absolutely no sense of urgency considering the service they provide. Most recently, when we were unable to disarm our system from the keypad, I called customer service as the alarm was going off in the building. I was then transferred from general customer support to two other departments: one for dispatching (to schedule a service call), and finally to security alarm tech support (to disarm the system). During this timeframe, the system triggered a call to the police who were dispatched unnecessarily. In addition, the technicians from past service calls have attributed our issues to various things, from incorrect system settings to wireless connectivity issues; none of which have resolved these ongoing issues. Johnson Controls is not a reliable source for commercial security services and as a business customer, we would definitely not recommend.

If I could give 0 starts I would, *** is the only vendor we were forced to work from our landlord as we opened a retail store and they were the only reason we almost didnt open. Thank goodness for my other partners picking up the slack for them. They did not do 1 thing well that I can write about. Not too many this seemed like retaliation for us not accepting their bid for our broader work that we were forced to do with them. The absolute worst business Ive ever worked with, avoid at all costs. Youll thank me later

Johnson Controls is an unscrupulous business. They overcharge for services and equipment and misrepresent themselves. They have failed to honor their service agreement on multiply occasions and I refuse to pay the ridiculous hourly rate.

Johnson Controls is a TERRIBLE business ethically. We cancelled our service with them in December, 2023. They continued to bill us for services and wouldn't work on resolution with us until four months later. We were owed a refund that we eventually received and then continued to receive phone calls and letters about action that was required. Calling into the customer service agents, managers and account representatives was incredibly frustrating. They are all very rude, not helpful, pushing the situation from one department to another and they won't even let you know when they are putting you on hold. And, you will stay on hold for long periods of time while they do nothing to resolve your issue. I'm still dealing with them 7 months later. Do not do business with this company or any they are associated with.

I am among the rest of the reviewers in a huge disappointment with a faulty product. We purchased a heat pump in July 2021 thinking we would not have problems for a while. Think again it recently failed and the repair was going to be major. It was very hot and I just decided to replace the unit with a more reputable company with a much better warranty thanI got from Johnson in the first place. Its very frustrating and disappointing especially in a company that has been around for a long time. Do not buy from them!

Between the spring and early summer of 2024, we (*****************************, **************, **) changed our Internet Service and Telephone Provider because of ongoing issues with connectivity and frequent telephone outages, switching to a 5G system with and a VOIP phone system. Because of the digital nature of the telephone system, we were unable to connect to the fire and smoke alarm monitoring system through Johnson Controls/SimplexGrinnell. We had analog copper phone lines installed to the network interface box and contacted Johnson Controls to connect them to the alarm system. A technician was dispatched and when he arrived, he looked at the telephone cabling and said they (Johnson Controls) couldnt connect the lines, that it was the telcos responsibility. He was onsite for approximately 20 minutes and did nothing other than tell me he couldnt connect the lines. At no time leading up to the technicians arrival were we told that their responsibility did not include connecting the telephone lines from the network interface box. I ended up making the connections myself. We received a bill from Johnson Controls for over $1000 for this service visit. We disputed this charge as being unreasonable and onerous, especially given the length of time he was onsite and the fact that he did nothing. Johnson Controls turned this issue over to a collection agency without ever notifying us that the dispute had been disposed of by them in their favor. The bottom line is that we worked with the collection agency to resolve the collection issue at a reduced rate, but Johnson Controls was unreasonable, and far from transparent with their operation throughout this evolution. We have been longtime customers (over 20 years), but we are ending our relationship with them.

Extremely Disappointed in **** AC! ***** Air installed a York AC unit 1.5 years ago. The unit failed 2 weeks ago and its still broken. ***** has been onsite 2 times to attempt to fix but its still failing. ***** is pointing fingers at **** and telling us that they only have 1 person they can talk to get authorization for replacement. We have no way of knowing what the actual status is of the parts or replacement for the unit. We spent a lot of money to have a new air conditioner. I'm sure all the employees at ****/Johnson Control are enjoying their July 4th weekend with working air conditioning.

Horrible experience with this company does NOT stand by their Code of Ethics according to their website. I have been dealing with a defective HVAC unit from **** that is 2 1/2 years old. They will not take responsibility for their defective products and I would run far away from anything under this companies umbrella ! This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company for anything. Their call center phone support and the website have no information regarding resellers to help with repairs.I have been trying to resolve issues, get the Metasys programed, after 0ne Million dollars spent in a commercial bldg. for the **** controls called Metasys. MY ADVICE NEVER NEVER PUT IN A METASYS SYSTEM FROM JOHNSON CONTROLS.IF THAY GIVE YOU A FREE ONE IT'S STILL TO *****. RUN RUN RUN FROM THEM.

Johnson Controls installed and manages our mechanicals and controls. For what we pay, they do shoddy work. Recently we had a leak in the ceiling of our workroom. When they looked at it, they said it was condensation and if it continues to happen they can insulate the duct work. Two weeks later the leak is back. We called another company to come in and check it. What was discovered that the condensation traps on the units themselves were never emptied at the last PS check. Now we have damage to our ceiling tiles for something so simple. This has been ongoing throughout the three years we have been with them but I continue to give them the benefit of the doubt. No more.

Johnson Controls, which distributes York mini splits, has terrible customer service for residents. They could not recommend any reseller in the ****** area to repair and service their York mini splits. Their call center phone support and the website have no information regarding resellers to help with repairs.
