Manager Abby is a child. Walk away when a customer has a complaint? Good to know you were raised that way. #spoonfed

    White Birch Inn Response

    08/15/2022

**************,I am the owner of the White Birch Inn and I am sorry you apparently did not have your issue addressed adequately by my staff. For that I apologize. Let me see if I can help resolve the issue as it was told to me.According to my staff and Booking.com, you booked a reservation through Booking.com for July 8 - July 10. I asked for a copy of the registration, which I now have, confirming this. My staff called you when you had not arrived and you told them you had cancelled the reservation. As is posted on Booking.com, any No Shows will be charged for one night's lodging. Since you made the reservation through Booking.com, you have to cancel through them. According to a cancellation report they provided, they list the room as a No Show and list as a Chargeable No Show. They are actually charging me for their commission on both nights even though we only charged for one night.Since this was booked through Booking.com and not directly with us, we have no control over their charges. My suggestion is for you to contact Booking.com and see if they will do something for you. I can't say what they will do, if anything, but they are the ones to reach out to.Again, I am sorry you did not get a satisfactory answer from my staff. I will talk with them and I do appreciate your comments.*****
