      Don't buy a generator rom this company they are a joke. We bought a very expensive generator raider for our house two years ago it worked for three days and has not worked since. We have called numerous numerous times to Generac. Talk to different people always passed off to this one to that one never a straight answer. They can install them, but they cannot fix them the first hurricane braille that we had here in *****. Our power was out. We paid all this money for a generator and the thing did not kick on now mind you its never worked. They come out to look at the unit and said the motherboard was burned out so here a year later we are still trying to get it fixed so go with someone else do not buy a Generac generator. Not a very happy customer at all, but were still paying for it.

      After purchasing a $17000 generator through this company, finding out now that i cannot link on their mobile link app due to my router being too new. So warning to others, if you dont have a 15 year old tech router you will have problems getting it linked. I've called many times and they are no help. Basically saying that i should by another device that uses old tech to maybe get it on the network. Or pay a $350 fee to have a. cellular antennae installed. Very disappointed in the leadership of this company. Had i known, i would have looked into a competitor.. Bad look for a this company..

      Generac 6500 left us stranded after getting hit hard by ******.  The absolute worst 900.00 ever spent. Bad enough we are without so much that just added to the heartache. Do NOT BUY THIS GENERAC GERNERATOR

      Have a 18k hole house natural gas power Generac.When it gets below 10 degrees it will not start.Has a new battery,it tries a few times and red lights.So when its below 0 its useless what a waist of $$.I CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO COME AND LOOK AT IT.3 years old (JUNK) do not buy one is my recommendation!!

      My generator 24KW hasnt worked right from day one. They and the installer have played wacamole on parts and its still defective to this day purchased and installed nearly a year ago. Still playing the diagnostics games as Generac refuses to replace the brand new unit. I have a 10 year warranty and they would rather me and my family be put at risk then fix the problem. Horrible service. Never again.

      We had a 24kw Generac installed about 2 weeks ago. We have already had an oil leak that sprayed all over the unit and stained the base. Today the installers came out to check on it and said the electric panel on the unit was saying the generator was off. The electric panel had to be replaced. The worst part is Generac customer service could not care less. Their response is that it is covered by the warranty so they have no other liability. I am furious. We spent over 10k for this unit and they do not think they should offer any type of compensation for all of the anguish and time the defects on this unit caused.WeI did not contract to buy a defective generator. I dont trust the unit and it is causing me to have extreme anxiety. I wish we didnt have it on our property. We did not pay that amount of money for a faulty generator that causes us more worry than the prospect of the power going out. I would never by a Generac generator again. Their customer service is abysmal at best and they will not escalate Any cases to management. They clearly do not care and just want to make the sale.

      Purchased a 24KW Generac standby generator in January 2025. Lost power at five this morning. For about five hours. Generator worked fine. Lost power again two hours later and the generator did not start. Low oil pressure indicator with a puddle of oil underneath the motor. $12K investment in a piece of junk!

      only 1 year old and the motor went and takes over 2 weeks to get motor. the installation company has been great but gererac is no help to them or us. BUT A ******!

      What a terribly run company. Short list of issues: - Generac provides a list of their authorized installers/dealers. Their top teir is "PowerPro Premier" which are supposed to be the most knowlegeable/capable. Dealer that installed mine mangled the power cables going into my ouside panel. Said it didn't matter. - If asked about whether Generac dealers are trained by Generac they will disavow any connection to their dealers in terms of their training. - Dealer that installed my generator told me to change the oil that come with the generator after six months. I changed the oil as per the manual using synthetic oil as stated in the manual. After changing the oil, I found information on the Generac website that said that synthetic oil should never be used before the break in period is over. THIS INFORMATION IS NOT IN THE PRODUCT MANUAL. When I contacted Generac about this, they said that I did not follow the manual and that if anything happens I many not get warranty coverage. When I explained that I have it in writing from their dealer that I was told to change the oil at 6 months, regardless of whether the break-in period was over, they said that that is not their problem (in so many words) -Multiple exchanges with Generac on what if anything I should do, provided conficting and in almost all cases, cover-their-a## answers - The Generac knowlege base has information that clearly states that it's ok to switch from synthetic oil BACK to conventional oil. So, if I had been given that information in the first place, nine out of the 10 or so email exchanges and phone calls would not have bee necessary -After comparing information on the generac website with that of the product manual I found several errors that could create confusion and cause owners to do things that could damage their generaor or at the least, potentially void their warranty I regret purchasing their generator and just hope I never have to rely on them for a repair or warranty claim.

      DO NOT BUY A GENERAC!!! ****** is the way to go. Installed a Generac whole house generator 2 years ago. Have had nothing but problems. Had a product resolutionist specialist. (Yeah, what does that tell you?) Chris ***** totally ghost me. Cannot get thru their phone system to talk to anyone. Told my technician today that I am on the list. But don’t expect a solve. So I have a junk machine. Replaced regulators 3x. Controllers 2x. Batterer 2x. Still showing charge warning light. Always shows a charge warning light. So Generac must be having a severe problem because there are many on the list. They are not replacing these non working units. Just putting you in the list. Buy a ****** unit. Many happy customers. I just threw away 13k. Don’t make this mistake.
