I purchased a resort stay for May 2020, and the reservation was cancelled by the company due to COVID-19 mandates. When I asked for a refund for their cancellation, the company refused and instead offered me a voucher for the price paid to be used with five (5) years of cancellation. It has been two years since, and the company has gone completely south in terms of pricing, cleanliness, customer service, and communication. Additionally, I am not able to physically come to this location as personal circumstances have changed. I do not understand why the company refuses to refund cancellations that are result of company policy and NOT initiated by the customer. This company owes me $548.30 for accommodations and services NOT received/rendered.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I did NOT agree to any postponement; I had NO other choice. The company explicitly denied refund even though it cancelled my reservation due to COVID-19 mandates.

      Regards,

My family and I have enjoyed coming to ***************** every year for 4 years. We have tried out every park EXCEPT Mt. Olympus until now. We did a one night stay with two days to the park.. We drop our bags off in our room and went to play. Upon coming back and getting showers we noticed our room had an abundance of ants! We had no food or drinks in the room ourselves and had only in been in the room long enough to drop our stuff off. I called the desk to speak to someone about them and they told me all they could do was come spray for them.. THEY WERE EVEN IN THE **** A guy came in and he used a CLEANER to spray the ants, within MINUTES there were more. They used no type of ant repellent. They didnt change the bedding knowing they were in the bed.. We only stayed because it was our daughters birthday and we didnt want to ruin her day. I will absolutely NEVER come back to this park as DISGUSTING as our stay was. We spoke to the desk this morning about getting money back and they said they couldnt do that because they already upgraded our stay upon arrival.. WE NEVER ASKED FOR THAT! The lady said I should have spoken to a supervisor as soon as we found them if we didnt like the ants and she couldnt help us. HOW DISGUSTING

      Hello,

We do want to apologize for any issues you encountered during your stay. We do ask that you ask to speak with a supervisor or manager on duty right away as we would like to resolve any issues while on property. We can't assist if we aren't aware of the issues. It looks like **** came to the desk this morning and made us aware of the issues and she refunded 20% of the funds paid on the reservation for the issues mentioned. If you have any questions or concerns moving forward please feel free to reach out to us as we would be happy to help.

      Sincerely,

The woman refunded $15. For an overall god awful stay with the response of theres nothing else I can do, I understand some people dont like the ants. First of all, WHO LIKES ANTS ON THEIR VACATION?! Our shower didnt drain and we had to stand in our own filth while showering. There was extremely loud banging for what sounded to be above us all night passed 10pm, we heard other peoples showers and their showers draining. We tried making the most of our stay due to it being our childs birthday but overall, we were extremely unsatisfied. Especially with how the issue was dealt with. We will not return and we will be sure to inform everyone we know about how our experience went.
