Wildfires across the Los Angeles area are expected to become the costliest such disaster in U.S. history. We had a house fire in April 2021. Paul Davis, our restoration company at the time was to restore our house within 3 to 4 months. The company was to seal and paint the walls in the upper part of the house and the foyer, replace flooring, replace cabinets, and replace countertops. We spent 11 months out of our house. When we finally had enough (after the 11 months - on March 25, 2022) we let them know, they were no longer needed. We had no kitchen countertops, no kitchen sink, two upstairs bathrooms were painted the wrong color, the water had been turned off so long that we had issues with the bathroom plumbing. The painters of Paul Davis were trying to rinse their paint brushes out they had spilled water in the kitchen floor- so much that it leaked into the drop ceiling in our basement., leaving a few tiles ruined. They have sent us a few invoices but I requested an itemized bill to be mailed. I have yet to receive a mailed copy. Now they are threatening to put a lien on our house. They were difficult to get a hold of at times and their timelines were never correct. You could hardly ever get a hold of the manager and the project manager didn't seem to know what she was doing.

I emailed the itemized bill they requested twice to the only email address we have on file. We have called several times over three months but the customer does not answer and we have been unable to leave a message (voicemail is either full or not taking messages). I mailed the itemized bill to them twice with no response. The customer has avoided us completely for months, but then calls and complains to you thinking we will not pursue collecting payment.

The total for the work was adjusted on May 5th to remove items not done. The invoice stands as is, and we will pursue legal action for non-payment.

My home was damaged on Nov 14,2021 this company took over a year to get close to completion ********************************* was in charge of the project and on many occasion told me when they would be there to do work which never happened she would not return my calls or text messages. Finally in January the owner **** came to my home with her and advised her to get work completed. The workers really showed up this time and I called her to tell her of some of the work that was not right. I also told her about the trim that went by the kitchen bar was not put back on she asked me to take pictures also behind a door the wood flooring was not completed. I feel it is her job to inspect work not mine that's what she gets paid for. This was in January she never called or came by to inspect or see where some of the wood flooring was not completed. This is how the whole job went with her asking me to take pictures especially when she had been there at some point to take picture's this has been a very stressful for me with me trying to sell my home and being lied to about completion dates. I took their final payment to them this week and spoke to ***** to advise ********************************* of the remainder of the work that needed to be completed and once again I have yet to hear from her
