they lack in professionalism, the ability to be organized, and most of all THE Disregard to Peoples Quality of life. They moved myself and my daughter into a building with an ongoing cockroach problem. they told me it wasn't an emergency. iv had to throw away food, furniture, appliances, and not to mention time wasted trying to receive some sort of game plan from them. This is an extremely predatory company, they are not ashamed of their anti-competitive behaviour. When raising rents, they openly talked about "raising them to be in-line with ******** and *******". In addition, they have a habit of not providing three months' notice of a rent increase. Instead, they have a habit of giving a rent increase notice right before Christmas that is dated months before, with a deadline to accept being the end of the Christmas holiday. This is against the law, they are supposed to give three months notice. Also it should go without saying that this is a busy time of year, nearly everyone is on holidays.Review from Tara R

This company would not accept a co-signer for an apartment if the person wasnt going to live there? I mean if I was going to live there she wouldnt need a co-signer! Very stupid and after talking with someone who lives there, it appears we dodged a bullet as they increased her rent by hundreds over the last 2 years so she is moving. Do yourself a favour and dont rent from this company!Review from Dave B

These guys are an Absolute Laughable Joke! I have a Very Deadly Bee sting Allergy, & my building has an Infestation of Yellow Jackets. When I called about it they said I would have to pay for the pest control to come out and find the nest and kill them, then I am supposed to have internet hooked up today, so I called them and was told by the rep in exact words **** OFF! when I asked them to send someone to unlock the power room so that the internet provider could hook up my internet. Whole ******** building is infested with bedbugs and roaches. Youre gambling with your furniture if you move to any of their properties from what Im reading and have experienced. Ive also seen maintenance painting over black mould. Ive seen maintenance storing bedbug mattresses in their storage room for some reason after people who are loosing their furniture. Ive had to rent hotel rooms just to get a good nights sleep because thus place has caused me bedbug anxiety. I dont blame people for moving out in the middle of the night.Review from Candace M

If you are ever looking for an apartment to RENT in ******, stay away from Avenue Living Communities! Nasty nasty apartment units with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Very rude and ignorant building manager and maintenance people. Completely disregarded & dismissed my concerns over a filthy, stinky apartment that they said would be PAINTED and CLEANED before I moved in. Currently trying to recoup some of the money I paid in rent through the ORT since I haven't been able to stay there because of the offensive odor in the unit from it being filthy! PUKE!!!! over $1500/month in RENT and they refuse to maintain and CLEAN the unit. ???? will see what kind of ********* they try to pull after I move out this weekend. Better not get charged for any cleaning as I am leaving the unit EXACTLY how I found it! DISGUSTING! **** ******* ** ******** ******** ******** **** **** ********* This is very stressful and I don't wish it on anyone. Very irresponsible. They don't response your call even though the matter is critical for 5 - 6 days. People smoke marijuana everyday there, smoke. The front door is always damaged. They let people in and sleep there as we are paying to risk our lives. This renter is not for families with children. You can see all sorts of people sleeping on the floor when you go for early morning work.Review from Gilles F

This company is full of absolute *******. I tried to get my air conditioner fixed but they never came twice and the second time they asked for a review so I stated that they never came. **** *** ******** ******* **** ****** ** *** ** **** ************ *** ****** ** * **** *** ** ****** So I did a review on how she belittled me and then she wouldn’t let me renew my lease. I talked to their customer service and they said that I wasn’t compatible with avenue living.!. I lived there for 4 years.!. **** is a loser and an extreme ***** and the company accepts ******* as their own. Now I had a little bit of garbage in the one storage room and they are charging me 300 dollars for this, what bullshit, 300 dollars an hour is highway robbery.!.Review from Iikka V

They booked a bachelor suite showing and cancelled the first time because "they sold the unit already" AFTER four days of waiting for the day to come. Then, after I called them and wanted to book a different unit they then cancelled AGAIN after waiting three more days saying the exact same thing. The absolute worst excuse of a realestate agency. Not only did they not offer to rebook a new location but when prompted why they cancelled both times they gave a short answer and hung up.Review from Kevin G

I lost 300$ of food cause the fridge died pay for insurance every. Month I'm a trucker was gone for 20 days said cause I never notified them that I was working no claim they new when I moved in also on March 21 east idain moved in with a kid none stop ,stopping on hard wood floor they have had 3 warnings on phone 3 7days notice to keep it quiet phoned police 2 kid sleeping all day the Manger is useless run from this avenue living worst place have ever rented
