  This was truly the worst travel experience I have had with a tour company, and I travel a lot. I took a trip to ***** with Indus in September 2024. First, communication to get a seat assignment was difficult. Indus added fees that ranged from $7 to $150/seat in addition to the airline fee!Next was our first day in **** where we were supposed to tour the Vatican. Somehow Indus didnt have enough tickets for our whole group and 13 of us ended up waiting 5 hours, stood in line after line, and never saw the Vatican! Our tour guide had never lead a tour before, was completely inexperienced and did not know what to do. Each day we had issues with communication, coordination, and tours. Please take this seriously and book with Trafalgar or Globus instead. Indus was horrible.

  Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent private group trip to Italy. We are sorry to learn that your experience was disappointing for you. I checked your file regarding seat assignment fees and noted that you were only charged 50 USD per person for three flight segments. I can also see that the airline was charging 43 USD for these while we charged 50 USD which included a nominal service fee, so I am confused by the various fees you are suggesting. Perhaps you are including what others may have paid but its not possible to compare because some guests may have chosen other seats on the flight ie extra leg room. We are dismayed to learn that you felt the guide was inexperienced and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. We reviewed the guide’s work history prior to her being assigned your private tour and she does have quite a bit of experience. We forwarded your feedback to the team in Rome and have advised, that we prefer not to have this guide for any future tours. With regards to the Vatican tour, our understanding is that there was a delay in the group member’s arrival for the start of the Vatican tour which meant that not everyone could get in at the allotted time. We were advised that some of the group were able to visit the same day and the remaining group members were able to visit the Vatican on a different day. Although not ideal, its good to know that it was not missed. The Vatican is very strict about the start times and any delay in an arrival can have a detrimental affect on one’s entrance. We have taken your feedback to heart and will review how and where we can make improvements.

  This company is underhanded and has a bait and switch business model. Signed up a year + in advance and paid in full. They cancelled the 3 country 10-day tour with airfare (after I kept trying to contact them and find our flight schedules) and tried to interest us in a 1 country, shorter tour on different dates and we would have had to pay more money and airfare. ***** this company like the plague.

  I think there must be some confusion. When I review the notes and emails associated with your booking - we did indicate that due to low numbers we were not able to operate the trip you booked. We provided you at that time with three options, one of which was a full refund, the option to transfer to another trip going to Croatia or the option to pay extra to make the tour happen with only 5 guests. At that time we also noted that you were thinking about, perhaps visiting a completely different destination altogether so flight options and costs were provided for that as well. We understand in the end you opted for a refund which was provided in early September.
  We understand that your preference was to take the trip you had booked and we would have loved to make that happen but unfortunately we have a minimum number of participants required in order to operate and for this departure it didnt happen. We are sorry we didnt find a solution that worked for you as we would have loved for you to travel with us.
  We do appreciate your feedback and we will review our best practices to see how we can improve our services to better suit all our guests needs.

  I book a Best of Adriatic tour , air and land plua a single supplement as I am a solo traveller . The total price was $ 6099. 00 . Indus cancelled the tour as there were not enough people to go ahead with the trip . The departure date was for Sept 19 . Indus had been debating on whether to cancel this tour since Aug 5th . I was informed a decision would be made at that time. After me emailing and a phone call , I finally heard back 10 days later that the tour would not go ahead. I could ask for a FULL refund or look at other tours offered by Indus. I opted for the full refund. What they emailed me was that a refund of $ 4500 .00 would be reimbursed. No explaination as to why they were keeping $ 1600 . I of course have had no response to my emails . In any other business transactions this would amount to theft.

Our credit processing provider has a cap on daily refunds so we could not do it all in one day. Today the remainder will be processed.   Indus Travels is a very cheap travel agency that does mainly airline reservations. The latest trip to **** that was planned by our friends involved a last minute cancellation of one in the group due to an emergency surgery. The company refused to refund the part of that cancellation. The airline company then eCredited that portion of the travel but was provided to Indus as the third party arranger. Upon inquiry Indus Travel refused to acknowledge receiving that and refund it to the traveller. During the trip we were asked to pay additional baggage fees for all internal flights. The hotels were marinas and the guides were totally inefficient. The seemed to be in a hurry to get us through without allowing us time to enjoy the place. The company does not respond to phone calls or emails in time and very unprofessional in dealings. We would not recommend the company to any future travels by any of our friends, colleagues or relatives. Avoid India Travels at all cost.

  Thank you for providing feedback on your recent trip to **** with us. We were sorry to learn that one of your travelling companions had to cancel their trip last minute. As per our ****************** the tour is 100% nonrefundable which was agreed upon at the time of booking. We appreciate that you would like a refund, but this is exactly why travel insurance is recommended. Due to a sudden medical emergency its likely that with travel insurance a claim could be made for reimbursement for the trip cost. Please note that ***** Airlines did not e-credit us for the ticket as you suggest. The ticket was nonrefundable. We, too, must also follow our suppliers ******************. With regards to the hotels. I am not sure what you mean by marinas. You were booked at two hotels in ***** and **** (both rating highly on Booking.com) along with a lodge in the Amazon which gets a 9.3 rating on booking.com. When I review your itinerary, I see that even on the free day in ***** you opted for an optional full day excursion which effectively filled each of your days on the tour with activities. With regards to checked baggage fees; yes, this is correct airlines within *************, ******, *********************** are now charging for all checked luggage and even in some cases carry on now. Our website does indicate in the not included for each tour the following phrase: Baggage fees may apply and vary by carrier since each has their own rates. We do our best to offer a prepurchase option whenever possible. I am sorry to learn that you felt we were unresponsive to your calls and emails. I reviewed your phone history and didnt see any missed calls from the number we have on file. I noted that each call was attended and there were also a few outgoing calls. The same seems to be the case with the emails that I am able to see in our system. However, I will review with the team the time required to respond to emails; we aim to reply within 1 business day and if we failed, we apologise. We do our best to ensure all our guests have the best time possible and are sorry to learn that you didnt enjoy your time to the fullest.

  I did a tour to ******** las July 18/23 .I was very pleased with the trip, our guide ****** was very knowledgeable, friendly and always on time. The tour overall was very good, we visited the places they promised like ******, ****** and ***** and some other amazing places,The hotels very good all of them . The country is very safe and clean and beautiful places to visit.I will be traveling with them again. I recommend to anyone who wants to do this tour .

  My wife and I along with three friends signed up the tour to ****** from Indus Travel. The total 12-day Maya ******* trip really gave us opportunities to learn ****** indigenous cultures thoroughly. We have seen a lot of ruins and pyramids, each of them has different representations and can tell the history of what was happening atthat time. We also had chances to visit the indigenous families to experence the real Mexican people's life inthe rural area. The views of volcanoes, villages and canyons are also unforgettable. This is a small group with total 7 tourists, our driver/tour guide is a very experienced guide, he explained the history in sequence of events in and out. Most of all with 2500km driving he made us fell safe with his skills. All in all, this trip worths a 5+ star.I was so surprised that Indus Travel assigned a tour coordinator dedicated to our group, ******** helped a lot to make the arrangement for the whole trip and made us worry free.

  We took the trip Royal ***** offered by Indus Travel. We selected Indus Travel for our trip to ***** primarily because of the tour itinerary; it was a small group (ended up to be 2-just me and my wife) and the positive reviews. We highly recommend Indus Travel. They actually worked with ******** in ***** (local tour operator), but we communicated directly with Indus Travel until we arrived in *****. Indus Travel was responsive to questions we poised pre trip through their chat feature on the website and through the phone. The description of the tour was exactly what we experienced. The information provided prior to the trip was helpful. The hotels were fabulous-from very fancy to somewhat rustic in ******* (which is rustic). The tour guide was phenomenal. He had a great sense of humor, he was very knowledgeable, he was patient with our unending questions, he could speak English very clearly, and he gave us great advice. Our driver we named Magic Man as he seemed to do magic in the unbelievable traffic.We thoroughly enjoyed our tour - it was incredible - and hope to use Indus Travel in the future.

  We recently took the Indus trip titled: "Highlights of Egypt and Jordan". We were concerned about the current *** ** ******, but Indus assured us we would be safe. In fact, it was very safe, we never had any safety concerns at all. Indus staff did an excellent job helping us in the airports and getting us to and from the sites we wanted to visit. The vans we traveled in were clean, the drivers did a great job and the guides were very knowledgeable. All in all, they did a super job taking care of us on this bucket list trip. This is the third trip we have taken with Indus, and we are already looking to sign up for our 4th.

  So wonderful to read you had a fabulous time in the Middle East! Hard to beat seeing the pyramids and of course visiting Petra. Not sure what your favourite spot was but i cant decide what mine was. Just so many fantastic things to see. We cant wait to find out where you are going to head to next with us.
