      as an international student I've paid 8000$ as tuition fee in 2021 but for the tax form for that year they just only gave me 2000$ for that 6000 $ it has been two years they are telling me they will fix it but they never do that , the person responsible in financial department never answers phone or ant email though if they can not give me my tax file , they should refund that 6000 $

      I signed up with cdi college under the agreement that I could retake any part of the course should my grade not be high enough. The course included a payroll practitioner certification. I did not receive the 65% grade required on the final course in the payroll certification course. I was told I could re take it as promised when I signed up. The school instead “graduated “ me and even though they have assured me many times I could retake this to receive my certification, they have not followed through. I have been lied to and given the run around for almost 5 months now. I spent $16000 on this course and without the certification, this diploma is absolutly useless. No one will hire me without the certification. On top of that, I contacted cdi for over a year regarding my tax receipt. Again, I was lied to repeatedly being told that even though the payment was made in October 2021, they didn’t process it until 6 months later. After a complete year of begging for my receipt, it finally showed up in February of 2023 followed by an email telling me to be more patient regarding my 2022 tax receipt. This school is a complete scam. Taking peoples money, lying to them and n out providing tax receipts within the current tax years. I am so disappointed that I was deceived by cdi college into thinking this was a real school. I want to finish my certification or receive a refund and this diploma isn’t worth the ink used to print it.

I initially emailed the school regarding a possible withdrawal on October 30th, 2022, and have since then emailed the school regarding this issue numerous times. After asking about withdrawal the school then decided to let me go due to attendance. None of my request for withdrawal was acknowledged until January 9th when I was informed they would be terminating me from the program. I have pictures proving my schedule had a Christmas break until January 1st but was terminated on the 9th as being marked absent for 11 consecutive days. ***** ********* ***** ****** ** ********* **** ********

      I am rejecting this response because: I have not received a message from CDI after this complaint. I have also contacted CDI to resolve this issue countless times and am continuously ignored. I have many emails supporting this. They have also said they will be keeping all my tuition regardless of what the student handbook says and they have said this may affect my future ability to get student aid given I decide to go to college or university anywhere else. Among many other issues that are not being resolved with CDI.

      I signed up for the Business Admin course in January 2022. It was a rushed pressure to join like everyone else. I lost my job in Nov 2021 wanted to further my education to obtain a better job. I was told 20 hours a week was all that was required, lie, worked 40hrs a week during the day and another 40 hrs a wk after hours on school. I finished my program in late July, owe no money. I have spent 11,000 on a program and finished with passing marks and yet to receive a diploma. I have repeatedly requested information and I have been met with no response, or they are printed at the end of the month. I did finally get a response last week yet no diploma has been sent to me and no one can tell me or will tell me why It’s not been sent. After the *** special I am concerned the diploma will not be worth the paper it’s printed on, not knowing if my course was actually accredited. * **** ** **** ** ***** ***** ** **** ****** **** ****** **** ******** **** **** * **** **** ******** ** *****. My admissions person Whitney B***** has been the only person who has made an effort to assist me, ******** * ***** **** ** ** ***** ******** **** ****** ** ******* **********  I have had MANY issues with this school since joining the program most of which directly related to communication, not having access to the first week of courses and the biggest one of all they wouldn’t return return a 3,000 overpayment for 6 months. ****** ****. I want my diploma…and not empty responses from and auto generated message.       CDI is undergoing investigation regarding the accreditation of their offered courses. When I enrolled in CDI’s online Education Assistant program I was assured that it was accredited and recognized in all of the Canadian provinces. This was a key element in my decision to pursue this career path ** ** ******* ** ** *** ******** *** *** ****** ** ****** ** ******* ******** ** **** ****. In light of the recent information released regarding CDI, I am now questioning not only the validity of my certification in my current province, but if it is truly accredited throughout Canada. As of yet no representatives have responded to my emails regarding my certification. The time/effort put into this degree obviously cannot be refunded/reimbursed. But I believe if there was any misguidance around the validity of my certificate my student loans should at the very least be refunded as I would not have taken this course at this institution if I was told the whole truth at the time of admission/enrolment.

      I was enrolled in the veterinary office assistant program online. Started in May 2020 and was supposed to finish March 2021. We were left on our own for over a month after our instructor quit. I ended up getting sick and not being able to keep up with the program and within a week was sent an email stating I had been kicked out of the program. They locked all my sign ins for the programs including my access to the text books. Now they are constantly ********* me for the rest of the money for the books I didn't get. I just want to stop them ********* me for the money I shouldn't have to pay.

      Good afternoon. I chose to go with CDI College to earn my degree as a Social Worker, ************ ** ***** *** ******** ********. I began my scholastic journey with the school Dec 6/2021. I have completed my studies and have completed my 280 hour practicum as of Sept 26/2022. I have completed everything required and completed it with dedicating my life and time to it. As we should, as students in College looking to earn a degree, Since Sept 26, it has been absolutely excruciating, stressful, and impossible to have the staff at CDI College put me through the graduation process. There has been email after email in the last three months with excuses as to their Practicum staff failing to do their jobs properly and in turn has back logged their department, and they are struggling to help all of the students. It has been three months and I am still begging to be helped so I can move on with the degree I earned. I cannot find anyone to help me, I am being transferred from employee to employee, and I honestly have to question if this is a real school.       I am rejecting this response because:I have had this exact response from CDI College countless times, and after phone call and phone call, email after email, passing through multiple staff at the College with absolutely no progress, no solutions, and zero attempts to do their jobs, and simply put me through the graduation process as should have been done three long months ago, I am now only accepting seeing that result. At that time only, when there is proof that they have graded and completed my graduation process, and that my earned diploma is in the mail headed to me with my tracking number, will I accept that email from them and only that response. I have learned that you cannot trust them on their word and they have admitted over and over that they are very back logged with students graduations, due to poor staff performance and being very short staffed. I’m tired of hearing broken promises and excuses. I will except actions no longer words, and when I get that proof in my campus records, and an email showing proof that they have FINALLY done their jobs, I will then accept that response and happily close my complaint.

      In June 2021, I enrolled with CDI College to complete the veterinary technician program (online). In August 2021, I withdrew from the program due to a multitude of things: no support from instructors or other CDI employees, instructor quit suddenly, BROKEN courses, BROKEN textbook links. CDI College asked me to pay $7000 for the courses in which I have completed within the program. As for the broken links and broken courses, I’ve sent many emails to instructors/employees and NOTHING was done to fix the issues I was having. HOWEVER, this is A BREACH in contract. I should NOT have to pay $7000 for broken courses. I have made hundreds of attempts to reach CDI via email/phone and the situation still hasn’t been resolved after a year. AND they are very well aware of the problem. Your job as a college is to SET ME UP FOR SUCCESS. *** *** ** **** ******* ** *****  I will continue trying to reach CDI. If I cannot get a resolution, the law system will be getting involved.

      Dear CDI College,

       

      My name is *******, not ******. You should know my name and my whole story by now as I have explained it many, many times over to multiple CDI College employees. CDI College is very well aware of the problem but refuses to rectify it. 

       

      I am not looking for apologies from CDI College. I am looking for a resolution. Ive been discussing my experience with CDI College for approximately **************************************************************** resolve this problem. I am feeling this way because I had paid for post-secondary education and CDI College failed to provide it to me and is now asking me to pay an unreasonable amount of money.

       

      People from CDI College will reach out but then eventually ghost me or pass my issue on to another employee in hopes it will magically disappear. The last CDI College employees I have spoken to were campus directors by the names ********************* and ********************************* who took over 2 months to come to a conclusion to refund me $2195.80. However, they have still not followed through with that offer and CDI has still not paid the money that I am entitled to. 

       

      This issue has gone way beyond tuition at this point. It has been 16 months since I withdrew from CDI College and I am still trying to solve this issue, which is completely unacceptable. If CDI College were to have resolved this issue within 30 days (according to the CDI College dispute policy) then I would not be asking for a full tuition refund plus more. 

       

      As said above, I require a full tuition refund, ** *** ***** ** **** ** *** *** ********** ****** *** ******** ****** **** ***** ****** *** *** ** ******** I have contacted *** Marketplace, the ** Ombudsperson and Service ** about this issue and I will continue pursuing this until I get the outcome that I am owed. I will not stop until I am not $7000 in debt because of a company that couldnt provide adequate services. 

       

      Do not tell me that youre sorry. Apologies do not solve the issue. Do not tell me CDI College strives for 100% satisfaction and that they are always looking for ways to improve because I know that is not true. Assist me in recovering the tuition money I am owed, better assist your students before and after they study with you, improve courses, improve IT and technical teams, provide better support all around, and then you can say you strive for 100% satisfaction and I, and others, would believe you.

      I was enrolled in the ****** ***** *** ********* diploma. When I first inquired with the college, I was on the fence about doing anything. I advised them I work for ********** and wanted to expand my resume by obtaining a diploma so I could advance. I felt very rushed through the whole process and I signed up. I went through virtually signing my student loan paperwork, not really understanding what I was signing (my fault). My fault again for not doing my due diligence in ensuring my employer would recognize this (they don’t). I realized this within a week and dropped out. Now I owe money to the college which conveniently was everything they got in student loans. My complaint is I have asked for invoicing, something showing what I owe. I have asked NUMEROUS times showing the breakdown and have received nothing. It’s very misleading when signing the contract what you are liable for. They do not highlight this when signing. I don’t understand why I cannot get a financial breakdown of costs. This was a huge waste of time and worst of all money. *** * **** ******* ****** ******* ** ****** * **** ** ***** ****** *** ** * *** ***** It’s SO FRUSTRATING DEALING WITH CDI COLLEGE.

      I was going to school with CDI college from May 2021- maybe September 2021. I left the program because half the time nothing worked on it and it wasn’t worth the $20,000…. keep in mind I was using an email strictly for school only and they do have my phone number. Since then they have called me many times about finishing the program but I have not received one call about any amount owing. A month ago I decide to check my email I was using for school and see all of these emails saying I owe $3700 and it’s being sent to collections. First of all why has it taken so long to tell me, secondly why can’t you call my cellphone, thirdly what are these charges for? So I have been spending the last 4 weeks calling probably 15 times and they always say they can’t reach finance and they will call me back, which they never do. I’ve sent email after email with absolutely no response?? What is the issue CDI. I would like to call this even after all the stress I have been put through. If you don’t want to get back to me about this supposed balance owing it’s obviously a big fat lie ***** I have done my part CDI now do your job. Do not go to CDI because they will try to rip you off and send it to collections without giving you a proper chance to sort it out. I will never take another online course again because of this.
