1 starLG refrigerator, specifically the ********** model. I bought the fridge in August of 2021. This has been a great fridge and I did highly recommend them to a few of my friends and Family. BUT in early march I received and error code(DH F) on the fridge. I reached out to LG Canadas and was advised that I would require an out of warranty package to have someone come out and fix my fridge. SO I verified the warranty coverage for the fridge and LG brand: 1 year parts & labour | LG studio: 2 years parts & labour, 7 year sealed system (parts only)*, 10 years compressor (parts only)*. The error code DH F indicates the temp inside the unit was not reached by a specific time. so I changed the Heating unit and the 3 fuses/temp sensors and plugged it back in. 22-24 hrs later the code returns. I had fixed each of the items as I was moving forward with the next fix. The next step was have a tech come out and verify the issue. He said it was the compressor. I reached out to LG Canada again and they said "you refused the out of warranty package". so I asked them for their Warranty company to come out and fix/Replace the compressor. the Tech came out ran a few tests and replace the Compressor. I waited till the next day and the error code returned. I called the repair company back to advise them it is not fixed, the receptionist told me she would pass the info on to the tec and have him call me.this was on Wednesday it is now Friday and no call back. here is the break down Of what I spent so far on a $2295 fridge. Food loss $200, My repairs $148., tech assessment $177.45, Warranty tech assessment/ fix $ 744. I have put in $1270 into repairing this fridge and I am getting no joy from LG Canada and the warranty company. SO I WILL be fixing the fridge on my own with out there help and I will be doing the following TWO things. I will not recommend LG to my friends and family *** **** ** ******* **** ********** * ****** ** *** **** ********* ******** *** **** **** * ***** ********Review fromSusan P

1 starI recently purchased an LG appliance and, while the product itself functions adequately, my experience with LG’s customer service and repair process was highly disappointing. Scheduling a service appointment was frustrating; the team failed to confirm a time slot, leaving me uncertain about the technician’s arrival. I had to call the day before and again by noon on the appointment day to get any clarity, which was inconvenient and unprofessional. When the technician arrived, the experience worsened. He did not remove his shoes or use protective covers, despite my home having wooden floors. Additionally, he dragged his tool bag across the floor, and I had to intervene to prevent scratches. This lack of care and attention to basic courtesy was unacceptable.Review fromEldon A

1 starWe got the stove at the end of January 2025, so almost 4 months ago. We are extremely disappointed and genuinely alarmed by both the design of our LG stove and the lack of effective support we’ve received. The original issue, two burners stuck on high regardless of the knob setting, took over three months to repair, which was already unacceptable. But far worse is the ongoing safety risk this appliance poses. On two separate occasions, we’ve come home to a house full of smoke because a burner had been accidentally turned on, both times by our dog. We have a large dog who can easily stand on his hind legs and reach the stovetop. While trying to lick a frying pan left out to cool (something we’ve done for years to allow grease to harden for safe disposal), she inadvertently turned on the burner. This has now happened twice, and both times we were extremely lucky to have only been gone for a short time. She has put the burner on other times, but fortunately we noticed as we were home! This isn’t just about an “accident.” This is a serious design flaw. A stove should never be so easy to activate that a pet, or worse, a child, can turn it on without anyone noticing. A sticker warning is not an adequate solution. No one re-reads a sticker every time they use the stove, and our dog certainly cannot. **** **** *********** ** **** ***** ************* *** ***** ********** ** ***** **** **** ** ***** ***** **** ***** ****** ** *** ** **** ******* ** *** ****** * ***** We no longer feel safe using this stove, and we’re pleading with LG to treat this as the serious safety issue it is. A stove should not be a hazard to families, especially not in homes with pets or children. ***** ** LG *** ignoring the risk. 1 starI bought an LG washer and dryer set about a month ago, and I’m extremely disappointed. The washer’s speed wash cycle doesn’t even wet half of my clothes — they come out almost as dry as when I put them in. As for the dryer, it’s actually ripping my clothes. I contacted LG’s customer service multiple times, but no one has been able to solve the problems. I asked for a replacement, but they refused. They just want to be repaired but they didn’t find the actual probelm. ***** **** bad customer service. I do not recommend LG products at all.Review fromsebastien b

1 starI purchased an LG French door fridge in 2018. In 2021 the compressor failed. The part was covered under warranty, but we had to pay for service $500. Plus 3 weeks without a fridge. In 2022 the compressor failed again, and we had to pay for service again and wait 3 weeks. When I called LG I asked, how many times do I need to replace the compressor until I get a new fridge? They told me this is the last time. Well, that was a ***. Now in Apr 2025 our compressor failed again. I called LG and they will not replace the fridge and if I want to get it fixed, I must pay a service fee again to install the same ******* compressor. **** ********* **** ******* *** ********Review fromLyndsey S

1 starI bought a LG fridge in Aug 2022. I started experiencing issues with it in 2024, like the seal and part the closes between the fridge doors always got condensation. They replaced that. Will see if that helps. It also has an annoying noise that comes from inside the freezer area and LG replaced the part with fan that covers the elements and heater element that melts the ice and it makes noise inconsistently. Keeps me up at night many times. Spoke with **** (case manager) and all she was willing to do was extend the warranty for 3 months, big deal until something else breaks down and the original complaint not fixed. The fridge is less than 3 years old and they won't stand behind their product. ******* ******** I will never buy another appliance from LG if this is how they treat their consumers.Review fromAudrey W

1 starLG, has been the worst company to deal with, we bought a dishwasher which we were told by ****, Calgary, it was very quiet, well it certainly is not quiet. The two fellows that installed it, they were hired out from LG, were very nice. When it comes to customer service from LG, that is another story. All I got from them on the phone and when they sent out a repair man was “it is what it is”. Or they would take it out and I could buy another LG, but I would have to pay another $307.00 after I already paid that to install the one I have. LG.,Really. Needless to say, I would never recommend LG to anyone.
