Yelp is horrible they filter reviews and only let the positive reviews stay if you pay for there advertising. Be aware of yelp business I highly recommend to not sign up for a yelp business page.

This could easily be a one star review, but the yelp app has so much potential. Their customer service is horrible and AI giving you bad answers, to be put on hold for a ************************************************* like to use ********************** more if they would actually call me back and address my concerns, but based on all the one star reviews Im dont think they care.

Yelp is tarnishing our business name. They claim they have no control over reviews but they have removed all of our hard earned positive reviews. Legitimate customers, even customers that we got thru ********************** leads! But they did allow the negative review from a confused customer to bring our star rating down. ********************** needs to be held accountable for giving good hard working small business low stars on purpose. It seems whenever positive reviews are removed we are getting calls from yelp ads. I know if I had 2 similar companies to choose from I would choose the one with good reviews, weve even been told this from a potential customer. Yet ********************** has removed all of our positive reviews .

Calls and leaves a vm every day ************* is an absolute rip off. I cant wait until they go out of business

Yelp for business ads misrepresented itself and took funds from my bank account without my permission for services not provided. I had a free advertising trial month for November 2024 . Paid $89.99 on December 1st which is the monthly fee for advertising. On December 9th my bank account was charged $237 .13 for ? What I was not told . I cancelled my bank account as I was being charged for no reason. Yelp *** then took my funds back from my bank anyway at the end of January. My ad does not show up on Yelp . A search engine shows my Business name in a city (*********) an hour away . My Service profile was filled out with my name , pictures of my business, address in ********** . Yet , it did not show up when you go to Yelps app , or when you search for my services. I had a basic ad that didnt show up on their site and Im being charged another extra $399. 00 for ? The ad for Yelp was supposed to be $89.99 per month. I have been overcharged $637.00 . When I called Yelp customer service she would not listen to me . She said I had moved up ***** in my advertising so it cost more . I was confused as I had not changed my ad , knew about teirs and my ad didnt even show . Yelp has not helped me resolve this and no where did the ad contract on Yelp say anything about it . This company outright stole from me . Please make this right . Thank you , ***** *******

It seems I'm not alone in my complaint against yelp. My story goes: I was called by their *** saying that I had received a great review from a customer that was sent to ********************** and that I had earned a $350 credit for free ads, and I was encouraged to take advantage of it. I told the *** I wasn't in need of a lot more business, but I agreed with the stipulation that he or Yelp would contact me when the credit was about to run out so I could evaluate the results and see if I wanted to continue. As you could guess no call, and over $1500 later that was charged to my account. I thought they were a quality company as I have used them to find restaurants, etc. After going to BBB and seeing the complaints about Yelp, there is nothing left to say but they are conniving, deceptive business to say the least. I wish there was a more immediate way of warning people of businesses like yelp. I have put in a complaint with the *** hoping they will pursue Yelp regarding their deceptive business.

They steal money from small businesses without their permission! Have called and canceled the business account and was told I wouldnt be charged anymore, only to receive a charge 2 days later!

I was tricked into spending advertising money on Yelp and never received 1 email/or text/ or call as Yelp remove my legitimate online reviews and when i call I was told"yelp uses AI and sometimes they will temporarily take reviews down" ok I said and after to new reviews were posted they were also instantly removed. This was truly taken advantage of a trusting senior....I spent between $700-$900 dollars for NOTHING ! We are a small construction business in chicago I was running a small ad which I was comfortable with. I had one of there representatives call me to increase my ad which didn't not work for me . Ended up with a bill of $1200 just for 2 weeks. Didnt land any jobs either.
