YELP DOES NOT ABIDE BY THEIR STATED PRICACY POLICY. BE AWARE!!! I have flagged and reported reviews and a user profile that was created by a 12 year old with her name and picture. Yelp has not even acknowledge my flags or reports. This minor is posting untrue, slanderous statement that can destroy adults lives. YELP DOES NOT CARE ABOUT MINORS PRIVACY OR RUINING PEOPLES LIVES OVER WHAT CHILDREN ARE SAYING BECAUSE THEY ARE UPSET AT AN ADULT.Review from Hannah J

Yelp is not only allowing - but actually aiding in - the defamation of my small business on their website. Even with cold, hard proof posted of the lies being told in this orchestrated attack on our business (done so under entirely false pretenses might I add) - Yelp not only allows the defamatory statements to remain up, but they are HIDING OUR POSITIVE REVIEWS AND RECOMMENDING THE DEFAMATORY ONES. Yelps business practices and policies should be illegal. They are an an evil company and everyone involved with Yelp should be utterly ashamed of themselves.Review from Joshua B

I will never ever recommend Yelp to any business owner especially a new start up business. Long story short they kept calling me I finally answered saying I do not have interest in ads. Me and this guy talked for an hour he said he would give me free ad money to see if it would benefit me. I said as long as no real money will be taken out that is fine. Out of the blue I was charged a lot of money I called customer service they said I have upgraded my ads. HOW WHEN I NEVER REALLY EVEN WANTED ADS IN THE FIRST PLACE AND NEVER ASKED FOR A UPGRADE! I said I wanted my money back they kept trying to make me stay using the ads saying we can downgrade you and for a dollar a day we can still let you keep your logo up. GET OUT OF HERE WITH THAT NONSENSE! I WANT MY MONEY BACK ASAP I HAVE EQUIPMENT TO BUY! AND TO MY YELP ADVISOR I EMAILED YOU ABOUT THIS NO ANSWER! YOU ARE A SNAKE LIKE YELP IS!Review from Jazmyn A

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding your company's deceptive billing practices. Despite multiple inquiries from my team and assurances from your representatives that there would be no charges until the promotional period ended, we were not only charged prematurely but also faced multiple billing attempts.This conduct is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on your company's integrity. As a result of these actions, we will no longer be conducting business with your organization. We expect immediate rectification and a full explanation of these charges.Review from James S

Hides LEGITIMATE reviews of my business, making it look like ZERO even though there are multiples (all 5 ?), ALL from my customers for the jobs I've done for them -- some of whom found me though yelp. Yelp claims not being able to fix this because supposedly algorithm hides them based on their special criteria that determines if reviews are legit. Seriously? S**** your AI if you become a slave to it and unable to control how your business now hurts other people's businesses! Many small businesses depend on Yelp to bring us customers though feedback from our past ones! We've spoken to multiple people in Yelp to resolve this issue, and no one does anything about it. I bought advertising from them and had second thoughts the next day. They refused to close my account they opened less than 24 hours prior. I continue to be billed for over $500. The funny thing was the advertising wasnt even done in my area liked I asked, the response was on the wrong side of the city. Whos going to travel that far for less than a 1/2 hour appointment? For real? I would have paid for the advertising if it was done in the correct area, if the provided training, and if the sales person would have listened to me and closed my account when I asked her to.
