Ive lended from Minto Money in the past when Ive gotten myself into hard financial situations in the short term. However this time my experience was a little different. I am aware these are high interest rate loans designed for you to get and pay off right away. The company however suggests you make large payments to the principle if you cannot pay the loan off immediately. I called and spoke to a representative during the second month of my loan after *** already paid one monthly payment and I requested to make a 700$ payment towards the full balance of my loan that was just around 980$. I was told however, that they were UNABLE to process my additional payment because it covered the principle of the loan completely. So they wanted me to make a payment of under 600$ (the original principle) so that way there would still be a principle balance on the loan. In other words, they would have taken a 599$ principle payment just so they could have a 1$ loan with over 300$ in interest showing on my account. Im sorry but thats absolutely unacceptable. Im trying to make a payment towards the entire balance of the loan so I have a much lower balance to pay off next time I had the money and was told NO BY THEIR COMPANY. Im sorry but why do you tell people to make large payments and then tell them that their payment towards your loan is too large? That is absolutely ridiculous. This was my 3rd or 4th time using minto and normally Im very happy with their customer service as they will Work with you to find a solution to your financial needs but after this loan I WILL NEVER be going back to minto money. They send me offers saying Im a VIP with better rates and such but Im extremely dissatisfied. I have never seen a lender who encourages large balance payments DENY one because it was too large even though it wasnt the full balance of the loan. I spent an extra 250$ because we couldnt take that payment. And would like that refunded now. So much for being a VIP.

Deceptive Practice. I took out a 400$ loan and the interest on that loan was stated to be 73$ ever two weeks I was to pay 107$ to pay off the loan amount. When I made all my payments on time for the 473$ total amount I noticed they were still taking money out of my account. I called them and found out that what I signed up for was not what I was getting. They told me the total that I was supposed to pay them back was over $1000 over a 10 month period on the $400 loan that I took out from the. Why would anybody take out a loan where they would have to pay that much more back over the loan amount that they took out for $400pay them in total over 1000$ over a 10 month time period without my knowledge. when I go into the online portal to see my account, all I can see is my next payment amount. I cannot see how much Ialready paid. I cannot see any of the upcoming payments. All I can see is next payment amount due. when I called them that is when I discovered this 10 month pay period we are $107 would be taken out of my account every two weeks and that is not what I signed up for. Why would anybody sign up to pay over $1000 for borrowing $400 over 10 months. when I would sign into my account on their website, all I could see was the amount in the next payment that was due to them.I couldnt see how much I already paid and I couldnt see how many more payments were left to pay them just that there was a coming up. It wasnt until I called them that I discovered this over $1000 to be paid to them on a $400 loan that I signed up forbecause I believed the interest was only $73. When I talk to them on the phone, the reasoning was not adding up. They were trying to cut me deals that would extend the loan time which is not a deal. Its keeping money with them longer and paying them more. I hung up the phone and contacted my bank to stop payment. I already paid the over the amount I was made to believed I had to pay them back when 7890 I signed up. In total, I paid $535.60.

I got a loan for 650 almost 2 months ago. I've been paying $86 per week for that loan and only .50 cents of my payments were going to the loan and the rest to interest. This company is unethical. They are robbing people with over exorbent rates. They need to be addressed and held accountable.

I was never given the percentage that the interest rate would be before accepting a loan of ******. I make a 70 dollar payment every week and so far I have made 4 for a total of 280 dollars. I was expecting to paid off my loan I a maximum of ************************************************************************** how many payments I have left to finish this loan. Finally after calling I was told this is an expensive loan and I have 36 payments remaining. They want me to pay 2800 dollars for a 525 dollar loan. I only accepted this because I have poor credit and they were supposed to help, but instead they are robbing me and making it impossible to pay of my loan. I believe this is illegal due to the lack of information provided about the loan and not clarifying the apr.

I received a loan from Minto in Nov for $400 and on the screens nowhere did it say the interest rate or terms. When I was approved and agreed again there was not an interest rate listed anywhere on the paperwork it was stated I would pay $216. and change back. I thought for $400 that would be for 2 months as it did not state the month terms either. In fact, I did not receive any paperwork to sign which I thought was strange. I also did not know when my payments where coming out either, I just happen to see them on an email then went to my checking account and they have been coming out since ********* I have paid twice what I borrowed and if it continued to come out of my checking account I would end up paying almost $3500 for $400. I called them and stopped them from taking out of my checking account and I refuse to pay them anymore as they have doubled their money off me. But this is robbery and I am not a stupid person and was scammed by Minto Money. Even after my phone call I still have no idea what the interest rate is other that very high and that in 4 months I have paid $6 to the principal only. I am floored at this point that a business can get away with this in todays society!

On 1/25/2024, I submitted an application for a personal loan with Minto Money. Unfortunately, their application process was misleading. At that time, I urgently needed cash, and the application process led me to finalize the loan agreement without disclosing the interest rate. I was curious about the interest rate, but it was not visible until I clicked the agreement to process the loan. Upon approval, I saw the interest rate tied to the loan amount and promptly made several calls to request that the approved loan be retracted and the funds not be deposited into my provided bank account. Despite assurances that the funds would not be deposited, they were. I made additional calls requesting that they retrieve the funds or accept a return of the money, but I did not receive any assistance. I ceased communication with them. Although I needed the funds at the time, I was unwilling to accept a loan with an almost 500% interest rate. I am willing to return the funds immediately but refuse to pay any interest. Please assist me in resolving this matter. Thank you.

Illegal interest rates being charged by a company that needs to refund people tens of thousands of dollars this needs to be initiated by the department of Justice as soon as possible.

What these people are doing should be illegal. Theyre charging me over 700% interest. It makes it impossible to pay off the loan! Theyre taking $400 of my money every month and I only borrowed $725. After months of payments Ive only paid $35 toward the balance! They prey on people who need help and then make it even worse for them with an insane interest rate. I didnt fully understand how bad it was going to be when I borrowed the money. Now Im stuck and this business needs shut down or their internet rates need regulated.
