Very difficult to do business with. I filed a medical claim on my travel insurance policy that took more than 3 months to resolve. They kept asking me to send information some of which had nothing to do with my claim. More than once I had to send information I had already sent. They do not answer emails always and can be difficult to reach by phone. I will never use them again.Trawick International, Inc.

Trawick International appears to be a scam company. I wish I reviewed the claim reviews below before I did business with them. I have also read the responses from Trawick, blaming the insureds. I uploaded all requested information immediately. Three MONTHS later, the company asked me to go back to my doctor and complete another form not previously mentioned by the company. Again, I immediately complied. Now, it is over 4 months. **************** **** offer no information, only polite replies. It is in review. It has been forwarded to a carrier. We notated your file. We asked carrier to expedite. Blah Blah. This is our first experience with this company and we would not recommend them. 0 starsTrawick International, Inc.

It has been 15 working days and my travel insurance claim TRSR61401 has not been paid. All requested documentation was already submitted. Straight forward medical event. I suffered a serious bacterial infection ending up in ER so we could not take our trip with National Geographic Cruise. Event properly documented by ER and my medical provider. We didn't receive any refund from ******************* due to the timing we had to cancel our trip.We sincerely appreciate you pay our claim ****. This was a very expensive trip that we sadly had to cancel due to this serious medical emergency. We will keep escalating since it is not aceptable the long wait. Please honour your word.****** **********Trawick International, Inc.

For those considering travel insurance, I would recommend exploring other options before choosing Trawick International and their claims processor, ******. My experience with their claims process has been unnecessarily prolonged and frustrating.I filed a claim on October 15, 2024, due to a death in the family that prevented me from traveling. The documentation was submitted in full, and the circumstances were straightforward. However, as of February 25, 2025, I have yet to receive the reimbursement.Under Texas state law, insurance claims must be acknowledged within ******************************* denied within 15 days. In my case, these deadlines were not met.A few key issues with the claims process:Lack of transparency There is no clear way to escalate concerns beyond customer service. Attempts to speak with a supervisor or claims adjuster have been unsuccessful.Slow response times Emails often go unanswered, and updates on the status of the claim are vague.Delays with no resolution Despite following up multiple times, I continue to receive generic responses such as "it is in process" without any indication of when a decision will be made. While I understand that claims processing can take time, this extended delay exceeds reasonable expectations and the requirements set by law. If you are considering travel insurance, it may be worth looking at providers with a more efficient and responsive claims process.Trawick International, Inc.

We do apologize for the delay in initial review of your claim file. We are pleased to find that your claims were finalized on 02/07/2025, and an email was sent to you, providing an explanation of adjudication for your claimed expenses. It does appear that the initial payment was returned due to missing information, however, our team updated this, and your payments were reprocessed on 02/21/2025. Deceitful, horrible communication, and intentional obfuscation. Their practices are to redirect and mislead, and not provide any real method of resolving your claim. DO NOT ****** luggage was lost by the airline, I filed a claim and provided the necessary information. Despite numerous emails and a phone call, the process has not gone forward.Trawick International, Inc.

The claims team requires specific documentation when determining eligibility for plan benefits. The team requested additional documentation from you on 12/05/2024 and again 12/18/2024. Following this, your claim file was escalated, and a thorough review was conducted. An additional email was sent to you on 12/20/2024, requesting specifically what documentation was needed in order to move forward with adjudication of your claim. Once this information is received, We will be able to move forward with your request.Review fromMaiyer D

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the handling of my insurance claim. I purchased insurance for my trip to ensure I was covered in case of unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, my flight was canceled, and I had to spend an additional two days at a hotel, which was not part of my original plan. As a result, I missed two days of work.I submitted a claim in August 2024, but after multiple attempts to follow up, I received no response. Eventually, I was advised to call back after 30 business days, but even after that period, I received no update. When I escalated the matter and requested to speak with a manager, I was told a supervisor would reach out within two business days, yet 14 days later, I still heard ********** wasnt until I left a review on Yelp that I was contacted, and I was informed that the necessary documentation had been sent to me via email. I promptly submitted all required paperwork, but again, I have heard nothing in return. It has now been over four months since my initial claim, and I have yet to receive any payment or communication. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I regret choosing your company for my insurance needs. I hope that this complaint will lead to a resolution, as I have been left in the dark for far too long. I would appreciate any updates regarding the status of my claim.Trawick International, Inc.

The claims department received your submission for Trip Delay expenses on 08/15/2024. We do want to apologize for the initial review of your claims, as this was due to high claim volume. After our initial review, an email was sent to you on 10/22/2024, requesting additional documentation. You also spoke to a customer service representative on this date and was informed of what documents were needed to move forward with the review. On 10/28/2024, your claim file was reviewed by the *********************** and a follow up email was sent to you, informing you that the previously requested documents were required in order to move forward with the review of your claims. The customer service team later received another call from you on 11/19/2024, and you advised that you would be sending the previously requested information, via email. On 11/25/2024, we received an email from you containing documentation to support your claim. The documentation was still in queue for review with the claims team at the time of receiving your BBB review. We thank you for providing your original and revised flight itinerary, proof of Trip payment, and proof of purchase for the additional expenses incurred. At this time, we are still in need of documentation from the airline which demonstrates that your flight was cancelled due to a covered peril under the Trip Delay coverage. You may reach out to ****************** to obtain this information. Once received, we will be able to move forward with adjudication of your claims.Review fromMaria W

****************. They take your money but when you put in a claim they ask for an outrageous amount of paperwork, then they say they need more paperwork. They make you wait and wait. They finally denied your claim because you didn't send enough paperwork. This company doesn't deserve one star! I wish there was a big zero to click.Trawick International, Inc.

Your claims were denied as the claims department was unable to obtain pertinent documentation regarding your claimed expenses. This information was requested on 09/27/2024, 10/25/2024, & 11/01/2024. You followed up requesting that the claims team finish the claim with the documents that were provided. The team was unable to determine eligibility of the expenses you claimed as you did not provide a copy of the claim that you filed with the airline, or the complete documentation regarding your proof of payment and refund with the airline. Therefore, your claims were denied. A determination letter was emailed to you on 11/14/2024, providing specific details regarding this determination. If you are able to provide the previously requested documentation, the claims team will consider re-opening your claims for review.Review fromTimothy K

Trawick International is an incredibly horrible company. They don't even pretend to have customer service. Website and contract states claims will be resolved in 15 business days, after that time frame elapses they say within 30 business days..after those days come and go..it's 40days. Then they deny your claim, knowing full well that no one has the time or energy to file a small claims court suit against them. Brilliant business model. BBB wouldn't allow me to post this review without giving this c*** company at least 1 star.. I give zero stars.Trawick International, Inc.

We do want to apologize for the delay that you experienced following your claim submission on 08/04/2024. ****** *********************** is the claims administrator for this plan and their team is currently working to update the expected response times that are listed within their claims automated response e-mails. The facts pertaining to your claim submission have been reviewed and determined that the expenses presented were ineligible for payment due to a policy exclusion. A determination letter was e-mailed to you on 10/09/2024, which includes specific details surrounding this determination. Please be advised, there is an appeal process if you disagree with the determination. You have 180 calendar days to submit a written appeal to SureGo ***********************, Post Office **************************************************. Once the appeal is received, a decision will be made in ***** (depending on the state requirements) calendar days.Review fromDavid J

All the bad reviews here are correct. I had two small claims - less then a few hundred dollars. Its been six weeks, and still no answer. Managers don't call back, they mess up paperwork, etc etc etc. I think they just hope that people will give up so they don't have to pay out claims. If you buy from them expect hours of calling them and no customer service at all.Trawick International, Inc.

The Claims Administrator, ******************************* received two claims from the insured, reported on 08/15/2024 & 08/19/2024. The insured initially contacted ******* customer service department by phone on 09/19/2024. The customer service representative provided the status of the claims and the insured stated that they were sending some additional documentation for one of the claims. The insured called again on 09/25/2024 requesting to speak to a manager. The customer service representative escalated the claim file to their supervisor. The insured also contacted Trawicks customer care, and the team reached out to ******* claims escalation resolution specialist, who contacted the insured directly. The claims were reviewed and processed for payment, according to the policy provisions listed within the plans purchased. The insured was informed that the claims were finalized on 09/25/2024.
