Hey everyone! Ben ***** I moved from *******, ** to *** for school mid January. Sales lady was ****. She was very nice and gave ma quick quote based on my amount of items which was just a studio. I'm not a pro in moving and thought my tv can go in a blanket but i was wrong, and thankfully the guys had a tv box on the truck with bubble wrap and did some crazy wrapping on my tv, never seen it before. They wrapped my mattress in a bag and some blankets as well as a few other small things. The only extra charges were the stuff I needed packed which is fine, that's on me. Otherwise, reasonable price, great service, fast delivery (considering the distance), and very friendly crew, sales woman. Company charged twice as much for the move as we were originally told ($14,500.00) by the broker, AmeriSafe Moving Services.On the physical day of the move, April 1, 2024, at between approximately 8:30-9:00 AM a panel truck that was half the size needed to load our furniture showed up with two men to pack and load and one what I will call lead man. After approximately five minutes in our home the lead man proceeded to inform us that they had not brought a big enough truck or enough help and packing materials. After a few minutes more he proceeded to inform us that we would need to pay an additional money for the move to proceed. 500 Move informed us that the move would cost $28,800.00. We had already paid the $6,014.00 to AmeriSafe and we received a $6,014.00 credit for that payment and now had to pay $15,786.00 for the move to proceed with an additional $7,000.00 due upon delivery in ******, ********** addition, many things were damaged that we are still trying to seek restitution for. I would never recommend this mover to anyone.500Move LLC Response

You had to give the full inventory/information when you are asking for a moving estimate, if you have extra items at the time of loading, it is obvious that you will have to pay more, because the rate is based on the volume of your belongings. For the damages, the delivery of your belongings was on 4/4/24 and you called us 8 months later 12/2/24 to claim damages, and we still emailed you our claim package for compensation (based on the contract you signed with us).
The estimate the broker gave the customer was based on 1815 cubic ft (based on the inventory/information the customer gave them). When we arrived at the customer's house, he had ***** cubic ft! This is almost double the information he gave the broker! They also needed us to do additional packing for them. This is the reason for the "half size truck". We sent a truck to fit 1800 cubic ft and not ***** cubic ft. The customer was fortunate that we are a local moving company in **, and we could immediately send a bigger truck, more manpower, and more packing materials. I am sorry that the customer feels this way, but I do not see any reason for a negative review of our company when we did our best to help them and do the job despite all the obstacles along the way.

The quality of their service was abysmal. They completely disregarded my belongings, shoving items that were originally in boxes with hangers but to make space ( that I paid for) they took all 8 hanging boxes,including my wedding dress. And smashed them into boxes. They ruined my Tempur-Pedic king-size mattress and broke 2 of my dining room chairs beyond repair. so I was forced to buy a brand, new dining room table and chair set. The lack of professionalism and care was shocking, and Im devastated by the damage they caused.I would strongly advise against using this company for your move. Their dishonest practices and lack of respect for customers' belongings make them a nightmare to deal with. Save yourself the headache and find a more trustworthy company.Review from Geraldine M

Missing box of clothes, small outdoor horse, Raggedy *** and **** Dolls. Filed claim and never heard anything again. Sent paperwork they wanted, never heard from them again.im sure someone took the items. Shame on them and their businessReview from Kelly H

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR STUFF. THEY WILL LIE ABOUT IT. THEY WILL DO NOTHING TO HELP YOU. They honestly will do nothing but ruin your life. Do anything but use this company. This company should be shut down immediately. The fact that every single human associated with this company is useless except the physical labor is pathetic. Don't fall for it. Don't be optimistic and think you won't be the one it happens to. I can guarantee you that it will happen to you too. It's also comical how if you read any of the bad reviews that the company responds with all of the reasons why you're the problem opposed to taking any amount of ownership or responsibility for their own company/employees. Its been 11 days since theyve picked up my things and Ive called the last three days to figure out when my things will be shipped to ******* and they have no idea. The original drop off date requested was Monday its not Wednesday and when I texted the guy asking he was very rude. The lady told me itd be able to be delivered she didnt say it would take up to 21 days nor did they say they wouldnt have an estimated delivery date if it wasnt delivered Monday. Overall service is horrible l. Now Im sitting in my place with absolutely nothing ** they have my things hostage.Review from Dlaton J

After confirming my inventory on 6-20-22 with ************************* the movers came in 6-22-22. The head of the crew wasnt even in my apartment 5 minutes and started jacking up the total price.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!500Move LLC Response

Thank you for your review. Your estimate with ******* was an over the phone estimate, which is very difficult to get an accurate count on the amount of space your items take up. Upon arrival and after viewing the items to be moved it was determined that your items amounted to just a bit more than estimated. The price increase reflects the increase in the volume of your items to be moved. The customer always has the option of ************************ some items or canceling the move all together. You chose not to remove items and continue to use our company to move your belongings. We hope you will be happy in the end, upon delivery.Review from Gerri G.

Never told us they were short handed. We have been waiting for over 30 days for our furniture items to be delivered but keep getting excuses. They sgreed to pick up and deliver our stuff from ******* to ********* to a storage unit. Some of these things we need at our temporary apartment. The rest will be stored till our house is finished. They said last week that they may have to contract it out. Should have never used them but they were contracted thru American Moving Solutions. Worst mistake we ever made. Also, the price kept rising from around 6k to over 23k.500Move LLC Response

We want to thank you for your review as it gives insight into moving cross country. First off, this customer booked their move through a booking agent who then finds an actual moving company. The booking agent gives the customer an estimate over the phone regarding the amount of furniture and personal belongings are going to be moved. This booking agent estimated the move to be a bit over 700 cf. At the arrival of the moving crew it was brought to the attention of the customer that the move was severely under estimated. In fact, the move was over 2000 cf. The price increases when the amount of items increase. The customer has every opportunity, before any item is moved, to cancel the job and find another mover. Nothing is moved until the price is agreed upon and all the necessary paperwork is signed. The contract states that delivery will be completed within 45 business days of the first available date. This customer has been waiting 24 days, as of today. This customer's belongings are in transit to the destination and they were informed yesterday. We have met every stipulation in the contract. Therefore, research the booking agent and the moving company before you book a move. Thank you.Customer Response
