Bait and switch scam. They had a lot of fliers everywhere stating they were doing a buy one get one free sale or buy on get one half off. Once we got to the register non of the promotional offers applied, we called over an employee and they told us none of the items were on sale.Business Response

I made chicken Patties from the meat I bought at Sprouts store by means of delivery from Uber eats on March 3, 2024 and as I was eating one of them I bit into a piece of glass!! Im glad that I didnt get hurt but this is insane how big and sharp the glass was! This is absolutely ridiculous that something like this can even happen. Wheres the quality control? What if it was a child who ate this and got hurt? I am mortified and almost threw up what I already ate. On 2/23/24, I went to this store and they overcharged me on 6 items. They were turkey jerky sticks which were all 3 for $5. Instead they charged me individually $1.99 each because they weren't scanning. I contacted headquarters who forwarded my complaint to the store and the manager issued me a $5 gift card to pick up there. The problem is I'm from out of area and now it looks like I won't be returning.Can they please mail me the gift card instead or issue a partial refund to the credit card I used?Initial Complaint

On 1/13/24 a manager at Sprouts refused to accept my valid ******* identification card to purchase alcohol because it was the digital form in Apple wallet. She claimed Sprouts only accepts physical ID cards. It is the law in ******* that Apple wallet identification cards are valid forms of ID. I am filling this complaint in behalf of my father , whos not able to type this up on his own . He has entered the spouts farmers market to purchase some coffee in bulk which needed to be weighted in, as price was per pound . The price on ALL types of bulk coffee was $9.99. He packed two types of variety of coffee in the single use bags and headed out to the cashier , who did weigh the coffee and charged him for 2 pounds = 9.99*2 At this point my father did not put much thought to it but when he got home he realized that none of the coffee were a pound , in fact , both together were less then a pound . He went back to the store . It is unfortunate how he was treated at this point. He brought in both a receipt and coffees and showed one of the employees that receipt did not indicate that coffee price was calculated per pound and it was just a lump sum of per pound price . It took him a while to get someone to acknowledge his presence and his concern and finally after 20 minutes they told him to get in the back of the line to possible process the refund. When his turn has come he has to explain yet again to another person what happened . He is an immigrant and struggles with English and also elderly and has poor vision . The new cashier has asked him for his IDs. While he could not see well without his glasses he gave her three forms of ID , his ******** drivers license , his CDL permit and ******** ID. She threw the other two away and started taking his info down . When he asked for the other two IDs back she kept ignoring him . After that , she took him down to the coffee aisle and what my father felt kept interrogating him At this point he has been there for over 50 minutes and he kept being moved from one associate to another and he has to keep explaining the same on various occasions . At the end , they took his recipe and coffe and did not refund him . He left without solution , without a receipt and without a coffee he over paid for .Initial Complaint

I purchased a two for special on crackers. One of the Boxes I picked up was the wrong flavor. I returned the next day to exchange one box and was told they would have to refund me and I would have to repurchase the product at the higher price because the product went up the next day. I talk to a manager and he confirmed what the cashier had said. I called the corporate office and Sprout's corporate office Informed me that is not their policy. I was told I would get a call the next day to straighten out the situation. But never received a call. Sprouts has never reached out to me. I had been a faithful customer up until that incident but have not returned since.Business Response

At this location ( ***************************************************************************) there was a woman who I've encountered a couple times. She was working self checkout around 12:15pm on 11/27/23. I've encountered her on a previous trip where she treated me like a thief and continued to shout product numbers out at me while checking out. She did this to Noone else but me. I also had my child with me. She proceeded to give a girl (who happened to be black) a sticker. This girl was about the same age as my son. She then ignored my son and didn't give him anything. She did this right in his face. Making him feel less than. I can only presume in her treatment of us that she is racist against Asians and interracial families. Dear BBB Representative, My family and I regularly shop at Sprouts located on ******************************************************************. This year alone, we have spent nearly $6,000 at Sprouts. On November 1, 2023, around 7 PM, I was driving my 2022 Lexus ES 350 vehicle towards the parking lot maintained and operated by Sprouts to shop groceries. My 17-month-old son was with me at the time. It was dark and the parking lot was not sufficiently illuminated so that customers could see objects on the parking lotincluding curbsides. As the images in the attached shows, none of the parking lot light poles on the lot operated by Sprouts had working lightsand this has been the case for at least a month.This is while the parking lot operated by the adjacent store, Pet Smart, was fully illuminated by light. In the image in the attached Pet Smarts illuminated parking lot is juxtaposed with completely dark Sprouts parking lot. As a direct result of the complete darkness in Sprouts parking lot, the curbsides were not visible enough and I drove my vehicle over curbsides causing significant damages to my vehicle. A towing truck later arrived and tow my vehiclesee images in the attached. My vehicle is now at a repairshop.Sprouts owes a duty of care to business invitees who enter a grocery store for the purpose of buying groceries. Courts have recognized that a grocery stores failure to light the parking lot by and of itself may expose customers to dangerous conditions, amounting to breach of the duty of care owed to the customers by the grocery store. It is my belief that Sprouts failure to illuminate the lotwhich is a Sprouts policy and a duty of the store managerwhen it was dark was the proximate cause of my injuries. So I am *********** be compensated. That store manager was warned of the unsafe condition of the parking lot on several occasions and no action was taken by Sprouts to address the concern is evidence of Sprouts gross negligence.Initial Complaint

I am a long time Sprouts customer. I have purchased tens of thousands of dollars of groceries from their store, and for the first time, I recently complained regarding the nomenclature you use to name your dragonfruit, and was disappointed with how I was treated and the outcome. A couple months ago I purchased two "Red ***********" for about $10, and I got home and cut them open and they were actually White *********** (white on the inside) - and I do not like white dragonfruit so I threw the away. Again, a few weeks later I purchased 3 "Red ***********", and they were again white on the inside - so threw them away too. On my next shopping day, I told them about the situation, and they told me they name the dragonfruit by the color of the skin - which is the root of the problem. Please understand there are 3 types of dragonfruit - white, red, and yellow. Both the white and red dragonfruits are "red" on the outside, and the yellow dragonfruit is yellow on the outside (see attached photo). The actual name of the dragonfruit is based on the color on the inside, and not on the outside, with the exception of the yellow dragonfruit, which is named by the color of the skin. This may sound silly and I have probably returned 5 total grocery items in my 40yrs on earth, and when I brought up the issue to the store the clerk called management, and he said couldn't do anything for me in a condescending way. This caused me to feel like I was in the wrong, which created an embarrassing situation for me as I was in the checkout line with people behind me.So what am I asking? I am asking that you please get the correct naming to your stores to they can properly name the dragonfruit, and, I would like an in-store gift card of $25 to compensate me for my mislabeled dragonfruit that I unknowingly purchased.
