I will never use one guard again. On April 18 2022 I had a vendor of One Guard come to my house to replace my garage motor and they told me my door was a commercial door which after checking with 2 other companies and having it replaced with a new residential motor, I know that they were wrong. All one guard told me was that I had to fight with the original company for a refund. They are very good at taking your money but nothing else. I'm dropping then whey the year is over.I'm is ********** ArizonaOneGuard Home Warranties

Paid $100 for OneGaurd to send out an AC tech to tune up both AC units. He was here for less than 20 minutes and said everything looked fine. Didnt leave invoice or apparently check refrigerant cause 3 weeks later I needed. Complete waste of money A few weeks later had issue with one unit and again OneGaurd sent out a tech who clearly was inexperienced. Took him 3 hours to find issue with AC and was on blue tooth most of the time with someone else telling him what to do and how to do it. Finally found problem with damper and OneGaurd said it fell outside of contract coverage. Also they charged me $140 per pound for refrigerant when most other companies charged $80-$100 for same refrigerant. Called OneGaurd to complain about 1) Not getting tuneup done properly 2) Contracted AC company sending out inexperienced technicians 3) Getting gouged by second company for refrigerant cost 4) Not covering anything for costs when my contract that I read doesnt say anything about dampers being covered or not covered. They only reiterated its not covered, they dont control who gets sent out and not responsible for their workmanshipOneGuard Home Warranties

We've been with OneGuard HW for 8 yrs., contract #****** and the service provided by them has been good, getting our refrigerator water dispenser & washing machine repaired, both inexpensive repairs, quickly. On 5/14 we noticed one of our a/c units was not working. We live in ***** and are already experiencing record temps. so we called OG HW to see if someone could come out immediately to inspect/repair the a/c unit. Short answer is there was no sense of urgency for them to assist as we were provided contractor phone #'s in which we had to call (not OG HW) to get someone to come out. Didn't have any luck with return calls and finally one answered only to be told "I can come out tomorrow 5/15 if you are willing to pay the O/T service fee due to Emergency call", of course we said "yes" as we wanted to start the process. Due to the extreme temps. we continued calling other reputable contractors to so they could come inspect the unit to see if they could get it up and running (again we paid out of pocket). After their triage it was determined that the unit was inoperable due the capacitor and compressor being grounded. Fast forward on 5/16/22 a OG Representative called me only to be told the claim was denied due to "not normal wear & tear and they don't cover secondary damages (meaning the non-authorized contractor the day before should not have serviced it). I talked to Customer Relations only to be told you should know the contract and should've waited til Monday, basically in my mind "it's hot and deal with it", no sense of sympathy or understanding. At the end, she said they would be will provide a very small concession ($400) since we've been with them 8 yrs to make it right. We are looking for OG HW to rectify this 100% - we've had preventative mx done on the a/c to ensure it operates as intended (saving OG money for the longevity of it) yet we get told you should know the contract. Why have a home warranty if they deny you when you really need them!OneGuard Home Warranties

Received $350 concession check on 6/1, less than what was quoted by Customer Relations as it was to be over $400. OG HW has the recorded conversation on the amount as I was repeatedly told during my phone conversations it was being recorded. OG *************** this amount to be acceptable for an eight year Customer and didn't even attempt to call to see what else they could do to rectify the situation. They initially quoted over $3,500 for the repair, why even share that if they are not going to do the repair? It appears they put profits before Customers by not supporting & being there when you really need them. Their Vision Statements states "So whatever life throws at you next, rest assured knowing we have you covered". OG HW stand by your Vision Statement and reassure your Customers by doing the right thing and not always falling on "know the contract".Review fromRenee W.

I am very upset with One Guard home warranty! I am under the understanding that when a repair man is at my home and I need a repair on my equipment and he has to go back and then come back with the part I am charged another trip charge. I am fully aware of this service! But when a repair person is at my residence and he Has the part in his truck and he didnt have to leave and bring back a new part that I would be charge for another trip charge that didnt happened! I think this is wrong!OneGuard Home Warranties

Up until my ** broke, I actually thought OneGuard HW was great - fixed my disposal and faucet, both cheap repairs, quickly. Now that I have an expensive repair, my **, I'm getting the run around. My ** broke 2 weeks ago and I live in Texas with record highs for *** (last weekend 100). I've paid 2 service fees, had contractors out twice, and then was told there's an exclusion on my policy related to the ** (and every other major appliance for that matter) and the repair wouldn't be covered. Why wasn't this communicated before I paid 2 service fees, and why after I've paid for this warranty for 11 months am I now being told there are exclusions on my policy -- who in the world would pay for a warranty that doesn't cover the **, heater, water heater, plumbing, etc.? The exclusions were based on the home inspection so I emailed the receipts showing the items were taken care of before I bought the house. I was told that within 48 hours a decision would be made so we could move forward with the claim. Well almost 96 hours, 6 phone calls, 2 promises to escalate to a manager, and 3 failures to call me back - still no resolution and now it's the weekend - 3rd weekend without ** in 90 weather. Ridiculous!OneGuard Home Warranties
