Dec. 22, 2024 - I may have been scammed by this company. I'm a senior citizen that gets confused easily. I thought he was a family member of a neighbor. I didn't realize he was selling magazines. He said he was trying to improve his speaking skills. We sat outside and chatted for a bit. Then he said he was selling magazines so he could go to *****. I thought I was helping him and subscribed to three magazines for my great grandchildren. I was to pay $325 for the subscriptions. At first I wasn't going to go through with it, but then decided I wanted to help the young man. I wrote a check for $325. He saw somebody drive by and asked if he could use my phone to call the driver. The driver ended up calling me letting me know he was there to get the young man. Once I got to thinking about it, I realized I might have been scammed and remember being warned of them before. I live in a 55+ community. Solicitating and trespassing is not allowed. I am contacting my bank to put a stop payment on my check. I was able to scan the receipt I was given and realized the young man did not fill out the form properly. I found I could renege on what I signed and mailed it to the company. I'm trying to follow what I need to do to report this company.

Same thing, got scammed. Paid cash. Wrote a letter to receive a refund, as the receipt states, and have heard nothing from them.

Ordered a magazine subscription in May 2024 and have not yet received any of the magazines. I sent numerouse emails and posts to their website's Contact email and nver received a reply. Obviously, this company takes advantage of AA kids and guilt-ridden non-black folks to sell scrupulous mag subscriptions. If you want to help our youth and people in need, make a donation to a legit registered charity or church.

I, like everyone else that has left a review, was scammed by two young men tugging at your heart strings. We ordered magazines for our kids in turn to "support" the ones selling the magazines. We still haven't received anything. It's sad that you cannot trust anyone anymore. I should have known better.

Owner hung up on me. I gave over $150 to two wonderful black kids at my door in ***************** ** on 8/4/23. I was told my 4 year old Daughter would be getting the **************** to which we never received and I also donated an entire subscription to a future neighbor or anyone in need. Owners name is ***************************** and his phone number is (**********. I spoke with him tonight and he refused to help me. Then turned his phone off. I will get my attorneys involved if needed. He is taking advantage of low income kids to sell bogus magazines

Yesterday I got a young male come around the neighborhood and I got sucked into the magazine scam with the hard luck story that he wants to win the contest and go *****. As other nice people, my donation was $164. He asked to use bathroom; afterward suspicious me thought maybe he was casing the house. I also got many compliments, a solicited treat. He could have been a grandson!!! Tomorrow a call to bank to stop check, if not too late. Thank you to all for your experience.

They employ deceptive tactics, sending young individuals to your doorstep, playing the sympathy card by claiming they're participating in some contest and desperately need your assistance. They prey on the kindness of homeowners, and it's evident that their real motive has nothing to do with providing a legitimate service. If you happen to have a spare $100 or more lying around, I strongly advise against wasting it on Coast 2 Coast. Their operation seems more like a well-orchestrated scam than a genuine fundraising effort. Save your hard-earned money and donate to a legitimate cause that actually makes a positive impact, instead of supporting these unscrupulous individuals. Don't be fooled by their manipulative tactics; steer clear of Coast 2 Coast and their questionable practices. Caveat emptor indeed!
