      My girlfriend and I recently moved to Maiden. We were told that Republic Services was the only trash service that would service our area (Which is far from the truth). We paid 50$ just to get our trash services started. We find out that its going to be 144$ every 3 months for our services. Which is absolutely outrageous, when in fact there are many other residential trash services that will service us for way cheaper. We decided it is way to expensive to pay that just for trash services and are deciding to cancel. When I called I was told its 144$ and a late fee and a 50 dollar cancellation fee. We did not know that we had to pay on the 8th we thought it was the 13th. Thats 238$ of wasted money just to cancel our services. Thats absolutely ridiculous, its a scam and they just want your money. Everyone else around here is paying 40-70$ every 3 months. If our payment was due on the 8th I will admit that is our fault but 238$ just to cancel when we were lied to and told that it was the only trash service around us. I see why they only have a 1.7 rating on here and over ***** complaints, theyre scamming whoever they can. Id rather pay my money to a company that actually cares about their customers and their services they provide and isnt only running them for their money. I either want a refund of the money I paid or just no fees for my cancellation. Ill even return the trashcan my self if I have to and pay the late fee. $238 is a lot of money especially in this economy and I would rather spend 238$ on something I need like food than on trash services. Absolutely ridiculous and they have no respect for any of their customers. It is so sad to see such a big company disrespect their customers and just rob everyone and not care about anything just if they get their money or not. Absolutely outrageous and sad.

      The customer was charged the amount that we require in an open market area.  When we spoke to the customer they could not tell us, who told her she had to use Republic Services,but in the area the customer is able to use any service provider.  Yes,there are cheaper hauler, but they dont offer the service levels that we provide our customers.  We ended up crediting the customers account off for the late fees, and only charged the customer for 1 month vs. 3 months.

      Cancelled my account in December. Charged me for removal of my dumpster twice. Why not bill client when they cancel. Why do you steal from people 3 months after service is cancelled. It is my fault for allowing automatic payment. I will take this as a precursor that other companies with auto pay options decide themselves when to steal from you.

      When I spoke with ****** I told her I would contact her if there were any further issues. When I tried to respond to the BBB email I was already to late. I was allowing time for the multiple transactions to settle so I could provide more information. I've been billed four times since I closed my account. One disappeared. Two were refunded. The fourth is still pending since they just sent it to me. I simply want them to leave me alone. They said they couldn't help. I thought that the BBB simply wanted to know about the four month harassment I have been receiving. If you are able to help me out please let me know. I don't understand what else I should do.

      I have spoken with Mr. ******** again. We did apologize for the billing issues he has experienced. In reviewing his account there was a delay in cancelling his service when he initially called into us in December. The account was not actually cancelled until the end of January. This caused a January and February invoice to be sent out to the customer. The delay in cancelling his account at the time he called in is also what caused the delay in generating all of the final invoices and we did apologize for this.  We did issue credit for the month of January which he should not have been billed for. All credits have been applied to the customers account and there is a final balance owed of $162.88. This balance will not auto pay on his account which was another of the customer concerns. Again we apologize for this error and the customer can rest assured, once the final invoice is paid, there will be no further bills generated for his account.

      This issue with republic services, they continue to take money from my account randomly. Despite the fact I tried to close my account and pay my final bill. When I spoke with their representative, I was told their is nothing she could do about their autopay nonsense. So I told their representative that I will wait for one month after they have stopped dragging out this ordeal. To affirm their negligence in their billing department. I wish I could simply pay my bill and stop being harassed by their phone calls.

      Our small local Trash *********************** got sold to Republic Service. They drastically increased prices so I called to cancel. They claim they didn't receive a call, (October 2022). They kept sending me bills and I would return the bill, stating, "I called to cancel in October". They sent me to collections for $68, and still haven't picked up my canister. It's been here for 5 months while they continue to harrass me for 'not canceling'. I called again in December and they said 'over the phone isn't a way to cancel'... I said, "I sent my bills back with the same info". So now I am in collections, and the canister has been in the culd-e-sac for 5 months. They won't come and get it, even though they havent picked up trash in 5 months. '

      The container has been removed as well as the past due amount has been recalled from the agency on collections. The past due amount is also being cleared from the Republic Services account and there are no needs for payment.

      Our recycling pickup that we pay for has only been picked up a couple times this year.We have reported to the company many times, and many times we haven't. Nothing is done or is fixed. We want our money back for not receiving a service we are paying for

      We have reviewed the customers account and see that there have been two missed pickups reported this year, 01/05/23 and 03/09/23.  We have issued a credit in the amount of $44.96, (which is for 10 weeks of recycle) due to complaint stating customer was only serviced 2 times this year for recycle.  Our driver will be educated on this stop to ensure this address is serviced weekly.  Our driver did call in the recycle as not out on 02/24/23, with a photo.  We will ensure he provides a photo after every service for the next few weeks.  We do apologize for any inconveniences incurred from the missed recycling service, and thank you for your business.

      A completely frustrating experience. I have had JRM for over 10 years as my weekly hauler without any issues. At the transition of Republic taking over I have had consistent missed pick *** and when they do pick up barrels being left on the sidewalk not placed back in place. This is a high traffic pedestrian area which causes ppl passing by to fill those barrels when they are left out. I understand the world is short staffed, I get it. These missed pick *** and or barrrels being left on the sidewalk result in fines from the **************, ( 9 citations over the past 12 months. This has Also destroyed relation ships with the neighbors. Republic associates are always very pleasant and apologetic when calling in a complaint and promising to rectify the situation and speak with the driver etc. but it ends there there is not any follow through. If a situation happens again the next week you have to call customer service again and start the process over as nobody you speak to is allowed to give you their direct line or company email so you can follow up. I have been extremely patient in hopes Republic could provide a resolution. The fines I have occurred over the past 12 months is more than half of what I have paid to Republic to collect the trash. I am not surprised to see the many negative reviews for this company.

      This is regarding Republic Services.We have been a customer of theirs for nearly 10 years. Through 9+ of those years, we never had a problem. In the past three months, weve had three missed trash pick-**** I have contacted the business numerous times, requesting a pick-up for missed service or a credit to my account, but receive neither.I dont know what has happened to this company, but their service has gone off a cliff in the past several months. We will be changing waste providers due to this.

      Republic Waste services continuously fails to pick up trash and the drivers are digging through my trash when they do arrive. Even after numerous phone calls and escalastions, I can not get a return call. The company has promised each time to have a truck come pickup, but each time literally no one shows up. When they do arrive for a scheduled pickup, the driver gets out of the truck and shuffles through my trash for some reason. I find their conduct offensive and frustrating to say the least. In the very least I would like them to fulfill their promise to me and pickup the trash. I will film the driver next time he is here for evidence of this activity, that is if they ever actually show up.

      My garbage was never picked up on 03-02-23, I called about it and turns out they suspended all my services instead of just yard *********. ******* I spoke to promised it was fixed and I would have my missed pick up done n Friday the 3rd, This did not happen I again called on the 5th to say my trash was still not picked up and they said it would be that day, Monday the 6th, it was never picked up, I called again on the 7th because it was not picked up and there said it would be picked up that day, still no pick up. I callled a 5th time today and they assured me yet again that it would be picked up like everyday before.

      This was just a misunderstanding from an agent who works remotely. In the city that this customer lives they have different service levels that other cities do not. That is where the confusion set in. Standard protocol is for the agent to escalate to the local division and that didn't happen quick enough. Once the local division was made aware the issue was resolved and the customers cart was emptied. The account was also updated to make sure it was correct moving forward.

      I cancelled my trash pickup at my home address: ***************************************************************** on January 28th of 2023 due to an increase in thier annual charge of nearly $100 for twice monthly trash pickup. I was then told they would come to pick up their trash cans and did not mention that they would be charging me $96 to do so. I was not given the option of returning them myself.On March 7th 2023 I recieved the attached invoice for $96 for them having picked up the trash cans. I told them over the phone on that same day that I was not previously informed of this charge and that I would not be paying it.I wish to have this charge cancelled to avoid a legal battle.My account number with them is: *************************************************** billing address is: *****************************************************

      The charges for my services have increased dramatically over the past few years, so I contacted them in October of 2022 about the increases in charges and I was going to change my service provider. No decrease was granted. I found services that are 50% less and canceled my Republic Services trash pickup. Republic Services has now sent me a bill for them to pick up their own trash container. I was under no contract with them and the trash container was provided as part of their services. I will not pay for them to pick up their own container. This is a fraudulent billing practice.
