My business domain was/is registered through NameCheap.com. The registration was set to auto-renew and paid for with a business card that was saved in the account for the renewal purposes. However, their system failed to use the appropriate payment method and instead tried to use an inactive card...the renewal failed. Now, to reactivate my domain they are asking for a fee in the amount of $85!!!!!! This is an extortion in its purity! Very shady way of doing business. The customer service *************** was not even interested to be helpful. "To my regret, your domain is now in the redemption state. In order to re-instate it in this phase, there is a redemption fee plus reactivation cost. The total amount, in this case, would be $85.16."

We registered a domain name for 10 years and paid around $100, we setup a username and password for our new account with them and after we finished the purchase we tried to login to our account and it's not working. We tried to reset our login information and it's not working and finally we contacted to customer support about it and we sent a screenshot of the order confirmation page that has all of our contact information , order number , credit card number and we NEVER heard back anything !!!I guess we should file several complains with ICANN and hopefully they will shut down their business entirely !!!We need to have access to our account and manage our domain name ASAP !!!

I represent *****************************************.***************************************** ********************************************** https://www.stevefoleylaw.com/There is a website using ******* name that he may have set up a years ago. But we would like to have it taken down. After numerous attempts to do so with the registrar NameCheap we haven't been able to get it done. The domain is http://www.***************.com/. It uses ******* name. His old address (where his former partners are). The phone numbers are not valid. And no one ever responds to the contact form.NameCheap insists that there is someone paying for this domain and that it renews every February but ********************* insists that it isn't him. We have been unable to resolve this with NameCheap and we're looking for some help.

I purchased Comodo EV SSL from NameCheap, but supplied with positiveSSL EV. On contacting NameCheap customer care, it was first said that I am going to get Comodo (Sectigo) EV SSL. Then after sharing screenshots with NameCheap customer care then he said it is positiveSSL EV is sold and he also said that NameCheap's Comodo (Sectigo) EV SSL is positiveSSL EV. I must clarify here that these are 2 different products from Sectigo (Comodo), with similar functionality and different features. I informed the NameCheap customer care that the same is not correct and this kind of misleading listings/ advertisements/ statements, attracts Consumer Protection Proceedings. I requested the NameCheap ************* modify to misleading listings/ advertisements. I also requested the NameCheap ************* to supply me with the Comodo (Sectigo) EV SSL instead of positiveSSL EV

I have contacted this company many times related to a website that is sending a ton of SMS messages to my phone and selling my information to other as well and I have NEVER been a customer of the website or **********************. The issue was finally tracked down at my own expense and there is better than 30 domains and mail servers running this scam and spam but, contacting namecheap.com about this issue has had zero results. Their live chat customer service simply sends you to a form, which I have explained many times the form is insufficient to handle all of the information but they just tell you to send it anyway because they have no email or call in support. It has become very obvious, they don't care if there is a large group of spam and scam using their hosting and domain services. If they are not willing to take this seriously and resolve this issue completely, I will have no choice but to include their name as a defendant, if I am forced to file something here in the ****************
