This Business Centauri send a letter stating one of my children my be eligible for SSI and was refer by UMPC For you. But when I look them up on the BBB. the address *************************************************************. *************************************. Also when you research the company they come up as ********* Office. ***************************************. ***********, **** *****. Human Arc - A Centauri Company. What was alarming is they called for my one child. Who does have mental illness but then they inquired about my other children who do not have any mental or medical conditions. I told them I would call them back and contact my insurance. They told me to make sure I speak to a supervisor. They said that the representatives wouldn't know about the letter. I said that not true I use to work for that insurance company. So information like that would be told to the team so we be prepare to explain to are customers as well it would be on are website about it. This company is a scam I don't know where they are getting their information from. But there was a security breech on the east cost this year of information being obtain by hackers as of may 2023. It effect few states and I have a letter about it from the county that are area was infected by the breech. I would go directly to the site on you own for benefits and apply personally or go in the office and apply.Business Response

Unfortunately, given the number of individuals we assist and the sizes of the health plans that refer them to us, more often than not, representatives within those health plans may not have direct knowledge of our services. We have asked **** For You to reach out to you regarding Centauri's connection to them, but Centauri has removed you from our outreach and will have no further contact with you as requested.
Centauri is a firm that offers cost-free screening for individuals for their potential eligibility for government-funded healthcare coverage programs and then, if potential eligibility seems likely, we help healthcare consumers, should they choose, throughout the application process to secure that assistance to receive benefits. This business is a fraud. They claim that they will help you with your disability claims. They will be the middle person and work the account for yiu so you don't have to deal with the back and forth from social security. Since I've allowed them to help me, they have no made 1 phone call to me. Or social security. They make sure to add the threat that if you cancel their services they will try to collect $5k from you. That's because they are frauds and do not do the job they claim to do.Business Response

We regret to read of the experience ************ had with our company. Due to privacy restrictions under HIPAA, we are limited to the amount of information we can share in this response, but can attest that in February of this year, ************ signed a form that explicitly states our company waived any right to a fee for our services, so the claim that we would collect $5000 is incorrect and misunderstood.
Since February of this year, we completed 12 calls with ************ and 3 calls with the ****************************** on behalf of the applicant. Unfortunately, as we explained to ************ in our calls with her, Centauri does not have any power or influence over the decisions made by Social Security about who receives benefits. We have since cancelled our representation per **************** request and a withdrawal form has been mailed to her. We wish her the best in her continued efforts working with Social Security.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.But for the record, they've only made 3 calls in 5 months and never made contact with a representative. No one asked nor suggested they have direct influence over the claim, however they did no work to assist with getting the required documents to the appropriate parties on my son behalf, which is what the function of the company. So in essence, I was doing all the work they would've taken credit for.

Human Arc Centauri keeps calling under the guise that they have been contracted through Sunshine Health to offer additional monies to my 4 yr old disabled son. However, when I contact my sons health insurance, they said this is scam call and they are not affiliated with Sunshine Health. They are requesting personal information about my disabled child. Contacted me about my 1 year old child. How are they getting her information is some other company selling my child's information? I encourage this company to get rid of all the information about my 1 year old child and do not contact my family again. I never inquired about SSI for my child. Again I encourage this business to divulge where this information was gathered to me and then cease contacting me. This is a a warning to this company hopefully but however u got this information I know was illegal so I recommend quitting the methods u use. Centauri very much regrets the concerns *********************** raised to the Better Business Bureau relative to his experience with our company. We sincerely apologize to him for any inconvenience that he has experienced. We cannot stress enough that it was never our intention to create difficulties of any kind.
Based on the complaint submitted by ****, we have looked into his file to determine the process that was undertaken to attempt to provide him assistance. We work in collaboration with hospitals to provide eligibility enrollment assistance to patients who we believe might benefit from our services. We received ********************** name and information from his hospital, but our services are voluntary, and individuals can request to not be contacted at any time. Based on ********************** request to you in this complaint, we have placed him in Do Not Call status.
