The presentation lead ** to believe that the package we were purchasing would allow ** to vacation for two weeks (**** points) when in reality it will not allow ** to vacation for even 1 week. The presentation was shifted and tailored to lead ** to believe that we cold vacation anywhere using these points for two weeks each year and that we could purchase unlimited additional points when in reality we could only purchase 50% of our package points (**** points for us).

      I was duped into purchasing a timeshare from ***************** in ***********, that Equiant financed, through misleading information. The presentation was manipulated based on the points being purchased to lead us to believe that we could spend 2 weeks in resorts all over the world with the points we were purchasing. They also stated that we could purchase additional points if we wanted to travel more or stay at a more expensive resort. What they did not tell ** was that the point purchases are limited to 50% of your package points. Additionally, I have tried to reach someone at Equiant many times and have never actually got to speak to a human after being on hold for hours. There practices are shady, they are not truthful, and they should be investigated.

      The entry "****** loan serviced by Equiant ************ DO NOT ACCEPT LOAN PAYMENT - SURRENDER OF ANY KIND IS NOT ALLOWED until loan is paid in full." has failed to be removed from an account that was paid off in 2014. Repeated attempts to contact Equiant to remedy this have had no response. *************************************************************************************** being placed on permanent hold for the "next available representative" for a total of 27 hours and 33 minutes with not one reaction from Equiant. An additional 19 attempts by electronic correspondence have recieved zero responses from Equiant. No originating paperwork was ever presented for the Diamond Resorts Contract Number ******** that included any connection to Equiant.

      This is the same response provided to every inquiry of this nature and can be found in a plethora of internet locations. The loan statement clearly states "****** loan serviced by Equiant ". Equiant is the originating party of the statement and Equiant would be the party to resolve the statement. If Equiant has no consideration in this matter as claimed then correspondence to this fact should be no issue to produce.

      As of 6/25/23 the referenced correspondence stated to have been mailed on the 6/7/23 has not been received. Until said correspondence is received the complaint cannot be closed.

      I originally bought a timeshare with this company and was paying on time without ever using the timeshare as I was lied to during the presentation and there were never enough points to rent anywhere for a week. I then received notice that the unit i had been assigned to was condemned and I would be reassigned. At that point i contacted Capital Resorts by email that i would not be making any more payments and reassignment was not necessary. Equiant has now been reporting for a year that foreclosure has been started, lowering my score considerably. I have never received any notice of foreclosure. I would like the notice of foreclosure sent to me so we can work on a deed in lieu of foreclosure or just move forward with the foreclosure. If a foreclosure is not pending then my credit report needs to be updated correctly. I have tried calling the number provided and it has never been answered.

I was given 5 different phone numbers but could not speak to the right person to give me that information. The hold times are ridiculously long. All they want you to do is leave a message, but who knows when or if they will call you back, send you an email, or text you. This is the only thing I need to complete my taxes and give them to the accountant.       Better Business Bureau:

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  I was able to get my info from Spinnaker after calling 6 different phone numbers I was given by Spinnaker and spending almost a combined time of almost 3 hours on hold, which is totally unacceptable.  I was told by Spinnaker that it was bought out by Equiant.  I got the info I needed, so I can now submit my taxes.

Afterwards, they reported negative activity to my account. This caused my credit score to drop. In an effort to preserve my credit score, payments were made to bring the account current. We have tried to call Equiant for the past several days. We have been on "hold" for over 6 hours. We have used two phones to try and reach this company. My husband was on hold for three hours this morning alone with no answer or response. When we don't pay our bill they will not give us time. **************** has a major problem. We did not chose to deal with this company and we have never had problems with paying our commitments. From other people I understand this is their way of deal with people, What a shame.       Equiant sends out their annual maintenance fee statement which shows the following:Statement Date: 11/30/2022 Account Number: ************** Sapphire Basic Assessment: $447.23 Gray Card Benefit Option: $69.00 Minimum amount due is $447.23, total due is $516.23 if you elect the Gray Card Benefit Option. When accessing your online account there is not any breakdown of these fees. It only shows you the total due of $516.23 which includes the optional fee. This is a UDAAP violation. I have discussed this in the past with Equiant and each time they have indicated they will no longer show the optional fee on my statement.I paid my dues that was due by 12/31/2022, one day late and was assessed a $75.00 per the paper statement. Therefore, I included the $75.00 in with the minimum amount due of $447.23 for a total payment of $522.23 per their statement that includes the increase in amounts due if not paid by the designated dates. Now, today I receive a past due statement so I call to check my account, to hear that I have a balance due of $69.00 which is the optional fee for the Grey Card Benefit Option that I do not want. In trying to call Equiant I've been unable to reach a live person. You can only get information through the automated system. Please help!

      Equiant is the servicer who sends the bills and accepts the maintenance fee payments on behalf of Sapphire.  I am currently on hold with equiant for the 2nd day in a row trying to speak with a live agent.  I've currently been holding for 1 hour and 24 minutes to speak to someone.  I've never made any payments to **************** as my timeshare was paid in full before a first bill could be sent.  I am requesting that Equiant remove that optional fee from my account as I've asked them to in the past.  They're response or lack there of doesn't resolve my complaint.  This is poor customer service all the way around the board and based on the number of complaints, they shouldn't be allowed to do servicing for anyone.
