Discount tire never offer to refund me my money per their policy. Just give me a tire a replacement tire. That is less than my original price.Business response

I called America Tire on June 20th, 2022, I am long time customer with America Tire. I was treated very poorly by few of your associates at ***********, California location. They apparently have "lied". The situation was I made appointment for June 25th so they ordered the tire which was coming from other town which will arrive this week. When I called again late afternoon to reschedule the time because I had time conflicts. They told me we don't have tire and they lied to me by keeping my appointment without knowing that tire will arrive. I want to be communicated by email.Business response

I am waiting for phone call from *****. I am very disappointed with the result I received at ******** Tire in *************. After ***** referred me to store manager name *****. I never met him but spoke on phone couple times and email me few times. When I was scheduled to do my tire. I made appointment on Monday June, 27th which my tire arrived and I already had my appointment I had to wait 2 hours at shop for my tires to be done unacceptable. The reason I am disputing this because I request the discount after few incident and issues I had with store and order that was made past about 2 weeks. ***** never came to me and discuss and the guy was little aggressive towards me. He said I will give you discount on two of charges certificate for refund, replacement and installation and life of tire maintenance. I told him that is not good discount your giving me because I never purchased certificate for refund, replacement in past. I told him to look up the order history and he said "SHHHH" do not argue and I was very shocked how he approached me in this rude manner. I said you gave me $22 dollar off on installation which I wanted to price match with ******* so he said "no you cannot" We gave you too much discount and you are REQUIRED to have certificate for refund. I told him no and he kept arguing and ***** the manager never came to help me solve the issue which ***** promised me that ***** will take care of this rest. I could have price match which I will get more discount than he gave me $22 dollar off for installation. I am very upset how I was treated by American Tire and I am very long time customer. I am not satisfied with the result I received.Business response

I order a set of 4 ****** tires online I payed then I setup an appointment for installation the appointment was set for this Saturday 18th June. A couple day later I got a call for **** a discount tire adviser to let me know that the tires can not be on time since are coming from another State. That will be Tuesday he offer a different type of tires more expensive and less miles life. I stated that I will think about and let know. Saturday call me back to let me know that the tires will be until Friday since are coming for another state and time he says a different state California. So I got upset I told that I expect my tires to be here Tuesday or I will *** the company for false advertising. Then I said that since I will *** he cancel my order and refund the money. That is false advertising and fraud.Customer response

I bought tires for my 2018 ***** ridgeline with warranty. i called to tell them i had a nail in my tire if it was covered. they told me yes and to bring it in. when i go there they stated my tire was worn down and my truck has mechanical uses so they are not covering it. first off my truck is new 2018 and is in perfect condition. they are a tire shop not a mechanic shop. i asked if what they were saying was in the warranty paper they stated no we just dont cover it. whats the point selling you warranty if they are going to make up what they want when you come in with a problem.Business response

I went in today, February 14th for a tire inspection after an accident I had yesterday. They took apart the tire and rim and inspected it. I was informed that I needed a new tire and rim. I asked if they could put my old tire and rim in my trunk so I can take it for a second opinion. I left the and was informed during my second inspection that they took my tire sensor and never returned it to me. I went back to America's Tire and asked for my senor and was handed and old senor that belonged to somebody else's car. I asked them what happened to my senor from my car that was taken this morning and no one was able to tell me. Now I have to purchase a new senor that is over $100 because America's Tire stole my car sensor and is lying about it. They stoled from me and no one wants to make things right.Business response

As of March 8th, 2021: **Never again to this location: female check in staff unfriendly, misspelled my name. **** who assessed my appointment, assured me I would be provided the wheel lock in hand. **** said my misspelled name is not intentional and not a big deal. WOW. Sloppy. Random staff member drove off down the street in a speedy fashion and came back without anyone telling me about this. Final male staff did not provide the wheel lock. I had to ask him where it was and he casually told me it was in the front inside a cup holder. Unacceptable and tainted. **Called, spoke to *****/Assistant manager to address the unprofessionalism of the above and concern of sloppiness, broken communication and questionable work ethics. ***** to have upper manager call me back today....As of March 10th, 2021, no action by company. Publicized complaint on yelp for all to view. Are businesses truly this lazy'? No choice. After researching this issue, we have found that ********************* has posted this same complaint on multiple channels. We have attempted to contact her and she refuses to let us offer any type of resolution. She has also been back to our location several times after this complaint was submitted. We will be considering BBB complaint ID 17440198 closed and we will not be pursuing it.

Called to see if they had a tire in stock, they assured me they did, drove there - they said they didn't have it at any location, then upsold by $150.On 1/12/21 I called this location ahead of time to check if they had a Yokohama tire p225/60 r17 Avid Touring SL, they said that they had plenty in stock. This one was $96/each - I expected to spend about $200 just for the tires. When I got there I asked for that specific tire and only the tire. The guy gave me a bunch of options (not including the one I asked for). I showed him the picture and asked for that specific tire, he said they didn't have it in stock, I asked for another location, he clicked a few buttons but the screen didn't really change, then he said none of their locations carry it (even though it says they do on the website) he then said there was a similar one but a GTX which was $157, he said it was my only option and that it was exactly the same. I purchased it because I didn't really have many options as my car was on a spare (couldn't go on the freeway) and I felt pressured because I had to get this taken care of by 3:00pm I had to pay about $150 more than I was originally looking at spending.Business response

2 tires were replaced in the rear. Body on the upper right rear of my wheel was damaged with scratches across and they denied repair after confronting Purchased 2 KUMHO SOLUS TA31 tires and they were replaced on the rear of my vehicle on 7/6/2020. When I picked up my car, I noticed that above the upper right rear wheel of the body was completely scratched. When I spoke to the manager, ****, he said it didn't happen there and was not their fault. He spoke to 2 technicians who denied that they scratched my car. **** claimed the scratches were old and already existed. I said that isn't true, that there were no damages so it was his word against my word. He said for me to file a claim with my auto insurance, "that is what they are there for" and to get it repaired because he was not paying for it. I asked to speak to his manager and he said it was himself. So I asked for his last name and he said he could not give it out. I said I would right a bad review on their business and said, "go ahead".Business response

Car stolen at ************* ************ On 20th July 2019, I had gone to ************* - ************ (***************** Location) to get all my tires replaced on ******* Sonata.I paid about $1000 for 4 new tires. After making the payment, I went home as the wait time was over 2 hours. In about 1.5 hours, I got a text message that the car is ready for pick up. I reached the store in 10 mins to pick up my car. When I got there they said they couldn't get the keys. They kept looking for keys for about 15-20mins. Until then they didn't mention a word that the car was stolen. I had to repeatedly ask them what's going on, but no one gave any answer. Luckily, my previous insurance company had given me a tracking device which was still working a week after I canceled it. My husband tracked the car and saw that the car was 10 miles south from the store. He thought someone from the shop might have taken the car for a ride. Again, I started asking them why is my car at that location. That's when they said that they think that the car was stolen. On the **** footage it could be seen that the mechanic handed over the car keys to two thieves. The key was handed to someone other than me without any id verification or payment receipt check done. Thats when they agreed that the car is stolen.After all this mess and filing a police complaint, we got the car back because of the tracking device and multiple trips to the stolen location by ******* husband. We put in efforts to figure out where the car is by taking up the risk of traveling to unknown shady location. After continuous follow up with the police we finally got the car back. America Tires staff did not help at all. They were just spectators to the whole incident - something that was caused due to their careless way of conducting business with no accountability. After getting the car we saw everything was stolen from the car. Our personal info was compromised as well. The thieves have all our personal such as home address. It's very scary. Our life is at risk. They still have the car keys. They even stole the wheel lock key. Over and above since the last 4-5 days me and my husband are running around because of the mess that is caused by America's Tires. We are sacrificing our work time to solve all the car issues. Me and my husband earn $100/hour/person. We are sacrificing all that time to just solve the car issues. The mental trauma this issue has caused is beyond any explanation. And thirdly the value of my car has reduced just because now it has a stolen tag on it. This is terrible experience. Bad customer service after the event is just making it worse. And to add on that none of the managers are of any help. I was a loyal americas tire customer. But this is not acceptable. I want to be compensated for all the loss - stolen items, refund of tires, car keys cost, loss of value of the car, loss of wages, mental trauma, etc. For all the mental trauma this has caused. The car value loss this incident has caused.Business response

we left our car statuary early in the morning 10/10 and they told us they need to order and it will be ready Monday 10/12 by 11am but we mention we will be p/u after 5:00pm,which we arrived at 5:40pm we paid and they gave us the keys so we start driving the car which was never change the tire.The car was outside at the end of the parking lot with the window half down and we had our merchandise inside, after we call one of the staff and his attitude was horrible, he didn't even said sorry plus he want us to wait until they finish will all the cars they were working which probably will take a while so I ask for the manager and ask him for a answer since I got a email said my tire arrived at 4:00 pm but they didn't install, he didn't have a answer just said that they made a mistake because the person didn't check the notes if the car was ready o not.Business response
