You guys are complete scammers. After trying to access my washers drain filter that seemed to be clogged, I couldnt reach it so I called your service. The technician came to my house and claimed that he opened the drain filter and that it was not clogged, despite clearly not doing so based on the amount of time he took and the lack of any sort of noise or other indication he opened the machine. He said it had 4 codes that were very complicated and that the machine would need a bunch of parts and repairs. When I casually asked out of curiosity how he was able to open the filter to ensure it was empty, since I had had so much difficulty reaching it after taking off the back panel the day before, he became aggressive and said he would never tell me such a secret, just as a doctor wouldnt tell you how medicine he gave you worked (he actually said this). Since he was being completely rude, he left after I paid the 70 dollar fee that covered the diagnosis. His rudeness upset me greatly and I couldnt shake the feeling he was being dishonest about the diagnosis and having checked the filter. I finally was able to access it from the front and lo and behold the drain filter was NOT opened at all and was completely clogged.Emptying it myself fixed the washing machine in a jiffy. Please refund me the fee that was obtained based on your servicemans fraudulent claim that he performed a complete diagnosis and blatant lie that he checked the filter. I have video proof, all timestamped, of the repair man arriving, him leaving, and me opening the filter to find it previously unopened and full of debris.

I called the appliance repair men on July 16th for a repair of my dryer for a loud noise when on. They came out and did not know how to take the dryer apart or remember how to put it back together at first. An hour later, after struggling to remove the top and front they determined the problem was the wheels and pulley tensioner. This part costs less than $50 but they charged me $298 for the part and $270 for labor for 1 hour. When we pushed back on the price they said they would take $408. After a conversation with my husband they offered to discount it further. The invoice they sent us said $200 total. Later they refused to acknowledge the invoice price of $200. No further work or repair had been done to warrent the price to increase to $408. They charged me double the invoice. When I called to complain a few days later they refused to acknowledge the invoice price they qouted me and the invoice that still said $200 per the link. I screen shot the invoice and sent it to them as well as the link they sent me for the invoice. After that call to dispute the price, they changed the invoice post visit to defend their position. They were yelling at me over the phone when I called to complain about the price then falsified their document in the link after the call to defend their price. I have the screen shots to prove it.

I contacted The Appliance Repairmen in early June 2024 to set up a time for someone to fix my refrigerator. The first appointment was cancelled the day before, and I had to call back to reschedule because no one reached out to me. I made an appointment and paid the $70 fee for someone to come out to check on my fridge. The person showed up, checked everything out, and then let me know that he would call the manufacturer to inquire about a replacement part, and said he would follow up with me later that day. About 3 weeks later, I hadn't heard back from the technician despite calling him and leaving messages. So I called the main number and let them know my issue. The customer service rep got the technician on the line, and the technician immediately started saying that I had promised to call the manufacturer and inquire about the replacement part. I told him that was not true, and he began yelling over me and telling me that I was lying. I told the customer service rep that this behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and asked that they refund the fee, or send someone else out for no fee. He said he would call me back in 20 minutes, but I never got a call back.

On May 7, 2024 I called The Appliance Repair Man, they would send out a technician between 4 and 6 the service fee was $70. I gave them my CC to pay. They no call no showed. I called them and they gave me a lame excuse but would be here between 10 and 12. They no called no showed again. I called back they said 30 minutes then a homeless looking guy showed up with a screwdriver and an ohm meter. He poked one lead of the meter near some wires and told me it was the $880 control board. He did the he same thing with the dishwasher and told me they do not make the control board anymore. Both the ** dishwasher and hood vent are only 5 years old. He was sweating profusely and could not get out of there fast enough. I ask where is the control board on the stove vent and he pointed up the shaft. I know from watching UTube videos that it is located under the side panel. I called the company and asked if they were a joke and they refunded $30 of the $70. This was a huge waste of my time and I believe that they make a living on Service Fees.

I made an appt to have my ice dispenser diagnosed on my 3 yr old fridge. I was quoated a diagnostic fee of ***** and the cost would go towards the repair if i chose to have it repaired. i asked if they take cash, card or check and they said all 3 are fine. Well, the tech (from another company) came out - and quoated me 450+ to replace the motor. i declined. then he gave me an invoice from another company name and charged me 85$. I paid it with a check. called back to 'The Appliance Repairmen' and they said if i pay with cash or check it is 85$. I was not told that on my inital call. Wish i would have checked with BBB first but lessons learned. The company is not planning on compensating me at all. Glad i did not have this place do the work.

3/23/24 My credit card charged ***** for a technician to come out and the price would be put towards the total cost owed. When the technician left after the first time, I was told the total cost was $180 and to call the billing company to refund the ***** service call. On 3/21, SOLO appliance charged my card 180. I was billed a total of $240 and just today recieved an invoice showing the billwas 240, not 180. All I am asking is for the ***** to be refunded. I was told today that The Appliance Repair Men work with Solo Appliance Repair...

I needed my washer repaired on 11/11/23 and found The Appliance Repairmen online. I called them and they sent someone to look at it. They charged me $95 for the visit. The technician barely spoke English and did not seem to have any idea what he was doing. I dont believe this is a real business and believe they are scammers. They said they needed to order a part and that someone would be in touch in a day or so to schedule the next appointment to replace the part. He came back several days later with the wrong part. When he finally came back with what he said was the right part and installed it he asked me to pay by personal check to ******* Services which was NOT the company to which I paid the initial $95 Fee. I then paid him $283.13 via personal check which I thought was strange. Ultimately the part did not work. I texted the technician back (he insisted I go through him and not the company) and he said he would check with his boss about getting us a new dishwasher. I texted him for several weeks to ko reply. He replied once saying he was out of the country. That was in December. Its now March 12. No one has been in touch and I have called them a number of times to try to find out information. They have my credit card information which is very concerning to me. I texted him saying that I have a record of the personal check I wrote him, and his email, and that I would report him to BBB. He finally, after months, texted me back by mocking me, saying oh how scary..., I no longer work for that company for the same reason they had a lot of problems with clients and I preferred to change companies, but as I say, contact them and tell them about your case, maybe they can help you, you are also free to do whatever What do you want? If you are going to report, do it or whatever you want to do. This guy knows the company is a sham and has no remorse.

On February 26,2024 I called The Appliance Repairmen to have an issue with my washer fixed. I was told over the phone that there was a $69.99 service fee to have the technician come out but that it would be applied to any repair made. My washer stopped working and had a code OE flashing. It is a high end ** front load washer. The subcontractor under the name Appliance ************************************ LLC in **********, ** came out. The technician could not speak any English at all which made communication almost impossible but he did give me a quote with a list of a few parts that needed to be replaced. I authorized the repair and when he was finished, he showed me an invoice on his phone which was hard to read. It had a total of $589.23. I told him to e-mail the receipt to me. When he left i looked at the receipt e-mailed to me and realized that not only was there an extra service charge added on, the $69.99 service fee was not credited back. At first I presumed it would just drop from my charges but the charge wen through so I never got the $69.99 taken off. I contacted the company several times and they are just giving me the runaround and keep saying they will call me back but never do. I want my $69.99 returned to me on my credit card.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution was not fully satisfactory to me.  The business only refunded the labor and not the cost of the part $366.50 that his technician changed and did not fixed the problem which made me to conclude that the part was not needed to be changed. Business mentioned the cannot refund the part because electronic components do not have guarantee, so, I have to take the loss for the cost of the part when I believe this was still responsibility of the business. Nothing else from me.

I contacted The Appliance Repair Men on 01/31/2024 for a refrigerator that was not cooling properly and a dishwasher with a broken rack. They charges $155 for the visit, which was supposed to be credited towards the repair. A repairman came from their subcontractor, Stahtech Appliance Repair, and worked for a while, saying that he replaced the fan in the fridge. He also said he would contact me about part for the dishwasher. I paid an additional $360.38 for the fridge repair, and was told that the parts and labor were under warranty. However, the fridge had not cooled at all by the next day. I called Stahtech, who said that the problem was low freon. Another tech came on 02/02 and charged me $125 for the freon. The next day, the fridge had still not cooled. I contacted Stahtech again, who said that they would come on 02/03 with a new fan for the fridge. By the end of the day, they had not come, and said that they needed to order the part and would come on 02/05. They also did not come that day; when I finally reached them, they said the part arrived late, and they would definitely come the next day. On 02/06, they said that they were late and needed to reschedule. At this point, the fridge had not been working for a week, and I stayed home from work five times to try to meet the technician. I asked for and was promised a refund. On 02/06, I was told in writing that the refund had been processed and would show up on my credit card in 5 - 7 business days. I have not received the refund. I have been attempting to contact Stahtech for five days, and have not received any reply; all of my texts have been ignored. I would also note that absolutely nothing was done regarding the dishwasher; not even an estimate for repair was provided.I would like a full refund for all of the charges that I have paid.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution will potentially be satisfactory to me.

The business has refunded the original consultation fee, as indicated in their response. However, I have not yet received the refund from the subcontractor. The business has been in contact with me, and they have told me that I will receive the remaining refund by money order on Feb. 27. If this happens, then I will consider the complaint resolved.

Please note, however, that I have previously been promised a refund from the subcontractor, and it has not yet arrived. I will therefore not be able to consider the complaint resolved until I have actually received the promised refund.
