On 4/21 I paid $384 for swim lessons for two of my children. These lessons were to start on 5/16 and be twice a week through 6/24. My kids attended the first week of lessons. Then the day of lesson three (5/23) we received a phone call saying there was a pump issue and lessons would be postponed that week. I also received a text message on May 25th reiterating there being no class that day. On May 30th we received an email stating that the facility was having "issues" and they would remain closed that week too, and as a result our lesson schedule would be extended out one more week. And to make up for the inconvenience, all students would receive a free Sunshine Swim School t shirt. On June 6th I received a text message saying there was no lessons again as the school was awaiting a permit to reopen. June 9th I received an email stating they were having real estate issues and were paotponing lessons indefinitely but would get back up and running asap. On June 11th I received an email saying they were closing because their property has been sold and they would be finding a new location and get lessons back up a running once they found a new property. We were out of town that day, so when we returned a week later I tried calling, emailing and driving by to get answers on what was happening regarding the money I had paid. The phone never was disconnected, no response ever came to my email, and no one was at the property. Their app was still active and I tried contacting them through that, but never got a response and about a month after the email saying they were closing the app shut down. I want my money back since my children only received 2 of the 12 lessons they were scheduled for.

On 3/10/22 I paid $81.61 via credit card for the May-June 6 week session of swim lessons for my granddaughter. She attended one lesson before they started canceling the lessons then ultimately closed the swim school. At the time the school closed I had a $16 credit as well as having paid for the May-June session. I attempted to reach the swim school multiple times via email and phone to obtain a refund with no luck.

We paid $1300 to Sunshine swim school. They offered a program where we pay one amount and they teach them a set number of skills and take them fully through all their swimming”levels.” My kids are only at the beginning levels still. This is not okay. This was a huge investment and I need compensation so I can make sure my kids know how to swim and are safe

Sunshine Swim School collected payment for two months of swimming lessons and registration fee on June 2nd. I had called the business to get my son signed up for class which no one had answers after multiple calls. Without leaving a message, the owner must have seen the missed calls and called me back to sign my son up for class. I believe at the time I signed up my son he knew that the pool was having issues because they had already been canceling other peoples swim lessons. During the time i called, the owner mentioned nothing to me about the issues his business was currently having. At this point I have received no communication from the company nor any swim lessons for my child. The only reason I know the pool has closed is due to the news article and information posted on a community forum. I would like others to be aware of the business and have a refund for the classes that were never given to my son.

Sunshine Swim School sent an email to me in March 2022 promoting swim lessons for 20% off if I signed up by a certain date. I called the number provided and spoke to the owner his name was *******. He offered me swim lessons for my daughter every Tuesday and Thursday for $520.21 with classes starting on 5/17/2022 and ending on 8/7/2022. He told me he would waive my registration fee and give me the 20% off which came out to $520.21. I paid this amount by credit card with him over the phone. I have screenshots of all of this information. We received services for our first lesson on 5/17/2022. The day of our second lesson 5/19/2022 I received a call in the morning from Sunshine Swim School telling me they were having scheduling issues and they would appreciate if they could schedule me at a different time. I said OK what time? They said 3:30 PM which was 30 minutes earlier than my scheduled time of 4 PM. I told them OK. We showed up to our swim lessons at 3:30 PM and received swim lessons. On 5/24/2022 we showed up to our third swim lessons and when we got there the electricity was off. The pool was foggy. The employees said the electricity was turned off and was being worked on. The bathrooms did not have any light or windows and you had to use a flashlight to use the toilet and to change your child. Swim lessons were provided in a dirty pool. I received a call from Sunshine Swim School on the morning of 5/26/2022 telling me that the facility was temporarily closed due to the electricity being out. I Believe I received an email after that letting me know that the facilities will be closed for the next week or two. I have the email. I received a call from ******* on 6/2/2022 in the afternoon telling me that classes will not resume for another week and swim lessons will continue for a week longer to make up for the lost lessons. He called me at a really bad time ******* told me he would call me back the next day and I never received another call from him.

I enrolled my son for the 6 week pups class, paid $208.00. Classes began February 14, 2022. He attended a few classes, but then they started canceling classes with no notice. The February 23rd class was canceled due to rain. On March 21st we showed up to a note on the door that classes were canceled, no reason given. March 23rd, showed up to lesson with a VERY green pool but instructor ******* wanted to continue with lesson. We declined. Promised to get make-up classes for all of this from ******** and our instructor multiple times. We receive an email on March 28th that the pump is broken but should be back soon and that we get 2 weeks free lessons. At this point my lessons should be over so my husband called to confirm our lesson on March 30, confirmed by ********. Show up to a chaotic scene, no lesson. I call and speak to ******* ******** on April 6th. He promises me personal lessons as compensation but needs to switch with a parent and will call me back to confirm. No return call. I called, left messages, emails, no response. I spoke with ******* again in early May when I demanded a refund. He was very understanding and promised me an $80.00 refund, even though I believe it should have been $96.00. He said it could take 7-10 business days. I waited. Called and called. Went in and spoke with ********, who called Sydney, the finance person. She called me and promised a refund soon. Never happened. After that I was never able to reach someone again. This whole thing has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. ******* is a dishonest person and I, along with many people, are owed money by him.

I signed up for swim lessons for my son for a 6 week class that was supposed to start July 2, 2022. You can only sign up if you pre-pay, so I was billed $80 towards my credit card. My daughter and son had been attending each year and had never had problems before. However, Sunshine Swim School has unexpectedly closed, will not answer calls, and I am unable to get a refund for the classes that never took place. From what I hear via the news outlets and Social Media several other families are in the same predicament.

I signed up for "********* School' program from Sunshine, which guarantees that for a one time flat fee of $650, that your child will be guaranteed to learn how to swim. I enrolled both my twins, both of whom have a medical condition that limits some aspects of physical movement and these swim lessons would be great "therapy", into the program at a total cost of $1300. Neither of them have learned to swim by any standard (barely learned to float), before the swim school shut down.

I enrolled my daughter for lessons in December through January. Due to health issues doe to covid I was told I'd receive a refund of $90 dollars that I never received or was credited to my account. My account states I have a credit on the Sunshine website but I did not physically receive it.
