Background: My AC started blowing warm arm first & then suddenly stopped. Apparently, thats a common pattern of symptoms that a capacitor is failing or has already which I discovered after getting several second opinions after NEXTGEN's diagnosis. The quote has language intended to fear ***************** you into quickly accepting their quote. Words like a crack in your heat exchanger is no trivial matter. Its the most common cause of excess carbon monoxide in your home. And another good one it may make more sense to repair a cracked heat exchanger, but it often makes more sense to replace the furnace. They chose not to charge a diagnosis fee.A new version of our existing AC costs ~$3,000.NEXTGEN did NOT check for warranty (all parts they wanted to replace were still covered under warranty). I was careful & got a second opinion from two different companies afterward as well as a family ************* all determined it was 99% a faulty capacitor.NEXTGEN ************* did NOT offer to first try replacing the capacitor or even mention it. No, that would be too easy. Instead, they decided it made sense to replace all the parts (that were working) because thats the minimum that was needed. And what was the quote for all these replacement parts? Compressor $8,415, evaporator coil $6,462, condenser with fan motor $965, line drier $2,065.Almost $18,000 to replace a bunch of fully functioning parts instead of replacing the $18 capacitor. However, *********** said that it really almost doesnt make sense to rebuild my AC at their astronomical price but instead, it would be better to replace the heat exchanger in addition to that for a total of $22,594. So, to recap, ~$23,000 for replacing parts and NOT a new system. I replaced the capacitor for $18 & everything started right up and kept running without issue. Also, NEXT GEN ************* left the yellow HERM wire unplugged for some strange reason. Most likely an attempt to mislead me.

I had water leaking through my ceiling from my AC. NexGen sent out a technician who told me that my 10 year old unit was installed incorrectly and had a myriad of problems. A supervisor came out (late), and quoted me a range of $20,000 to $29,000 for a new unit, depending on the size I chose. When I told them their prices were ridiculous, the salesman became visibly angry and left. Two days later, I had another company out, found out the issue was a loose coupling, and fixed it in less than an hour for $174.31! I wish I had read the BBB reviews before contacting them because I can tell from their ratings that they are not a trustworthy company.

Run, don't walk from this company! I accept my role in this because I actually broke my own rule and accepted a verbal quote from *****, a claimed "master/journeyman plumber", to install a water softener, as well as a shower valve.Unfortunately, ***** (the "inside" guy in this tag team) called as the job was being readied to advise that *****'s quote didn't include any plumbing or electrical hook up. Why should it...after all, water and power flow through houses magically, right?! Bottom line...I'm out $2,600; ***** never followed through on his commitment to return to the job for validation, and ***** couldn't find time to talk to me. When I did finally connect with him, he said he'd talk to his manager(s) & get back with me the next day to try to make it right. The resulting "compensation": I get up to $1,000 off my next job with them. Now that's funny right there! Sure, let me see what else I can bring a business with an apparent lack of honesty and integrity!Roughly 1 week later, I noticed a wet spot at the water main, so I dug it up to find the connection was put on incorrectly. Rather than send out someone to repair it, they sent Quality Control, the only bright spot in this "less than transparent" business model, advising, since it wasn't an emergency (true), he'll send a crew over in 3 days. Noticing a competitors sticker on my new water heater, he let me know he was an ex-************ should only use them - I will! You've got to love the recorded message by their founder, effectively stating his rationale for opening this business was to help people from being ripped off; that there's no need to cheat people. ************************** can't walk their talk, and while I accept my responsibility (trusting), it will never happen again to me, neighbors, family, or friends.

On May 25th a tech from Nexgen came out for a scheduled tune up for the ac/heater which is only 3 years old. After 30 minutes he informed *********** son of many issues that were going wrong with the ac unit and that it would cost me aprox $2,000.00 for the repairs. I had asked for a written summary & cost of what he was recommending so I could contact the company that had installed the ac, at which he said would be emailed to me, which never happened. I contacted the company who installed the unit and they sent out their tech and the only issue they could find was that the booster that was installed with the new unit had been removed which ironically was one of the recommendation's being made by the Nexgen Tech. The Nexgen tech also stated the pressure indicated there was a micro leak and that the pressure was not within the proper range which also was not true. I recently talked to someone who install's ac's for a living and said that Nexgen is known for false diagnosis. I highly recommend doing your homework before doing business with this company.

We had the worse experience ever with this company which installed a new furnace for ** in 2019 that lasted about a year before we needed a new one which broke down a year later. They couldn't fix it and it was Dec. 2023 and freezing cold, we had no heat (we don't have AC on the house). After waltzing us around we finally threw up our hands called another company and had a new furnace installed. We are trying to get *****************, president or Nexgen to reimburse us for the new furnace as we have now invested thousands of dollars on two of them plus installation. He refuses to do anything and won't even have the old furnace, which sits outside our home, taken away. No customer service. We will probably have to go to court over this.

This review is completely false we installed a unit that had issues. We replaced the unit in 2020. The new unit installed had no issues but the client failed to maintain their unit for 3 years which caused a problem. We performed the diagnosis on the unit found the failure (we even got the manufacturer to warranty the parts even though the manufacturer requires maintenance) client was convinced by another company to replace their under warranty unit with another unit (not sure why they did that)

Do your homework before using NexGen. I called NexGen for a tune-up and walked away with an overpriced system. The system for my **** sq. ft. home should have cost me anywhere from $8.000 to $17,000 installed with new ductwork. $17,000 being a top of the line system. I received their VALUE SYSTEM for $23,000. THERE'S A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ***** AND ****** THEY PLAYED ME AND MY WIFE TO ***. The biggest lie I was to find out is that they told me the system they installed should have really cost me $30,000. OMG LIKE I SAID THERE'S ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE. The installation and installers were professional but the cost OMG I think I should get some sort of rebate from ********** for upgrading my system, but they mentioned nothing about that. BE CAREFUL OF NEXGEN

Had a whole house recipe in may which costed us a fortune considering it destroyed my entire downstairs they left us without water for 7 days when they finally got it fixed they failed inspection twice because one of the techs went through a structural beam. This company left us in a mess of construction for a month and a half. Well fast forward to last night less then 6 months after repipe and one of the pipes they redid burst in my wall and flooded my downstairs again. Here I am with kids and currently pregnant and again NO WATER!!! I have been calling the emergency line all night and no returned call as of yet. I am contacting a lawyer as I know they are not going to take accountability for their mistakes. I despise this company and the shotty work they provide.

NexGen sent two aggressive salesmen to my house that sabotaged my HVAC system after trying to sell me services I didn't need.I had them come to my home to do an HVAC "rejuvenation". They spent an hour in my attic and came down and told me they had taken apart my entire system and it was in a serious state. They said the blower motor was leaking oil and urgently needed to be repaired. They also tried to sell me on air scrubbers and other warranty addons including a hard start system for each condenser.I didn't have the money so I passed. Fast forward to this winter. I turned my heater on and it would fire up and turn off after a couple minutes. So I called a local repair guy who I trusted. He went up in my attic and said that someone had switched the polarity of the wires from the blower to the controller board so my blower was way under powered and the heat exchange was over. This caused the controller board to FRY costing me over $700.Stay away from this company at all costs. They employ hard selling sales people who care little about if your system really works and more about how much of a deal they can pack into a convenient financing plan. SCAMMERS!

My 19yo garbage disposal was leaking and needed to be replaced. The cost of that model at ********** is about $150. It cost me $661 to replace a garbage disposal! I needed it fixed right away, so I paid it, but the bill seemed excessive. Ill try someone else the next time I need work done.
