In April 2022, I contacted Oxford Gold Group because they were advertised so prominently. I was very uninformed about investing in precious metals at the time, but wanted to try something new. After conversing with the Oxford associate, I decided to transfer my 401K and existing **** *** (totaling around 115K) into gold and silver, which would be opened as a Traditional *** and **** *** with ********************* The associate with Oxford was very knowledgeable and made the entire process fast and efficient. The associate advised me not to worry about the balances showing on each quarterly statement, they would appear much lower. He tried explaining how it was due to pricing fluctuations, purchase timing and a lot of fancy words and that the TRUE balance would show when I finally cashed out my ***. I believed him. I received the email from ************ a few months ago stating that they were no longer doing business with Oxford Gold Group. That email didn't send up any red flags to me. In November 2024, I decided to take a full distribution of my *** and started the necessary paperwork. In order to take out my metals in cash, I had to find a precious metals broker to liquidate the metals. I reached out the the broker who helped me purchase the gold and silver (he now works for another firm, as Oxford closed down) and he advised me that he could not help liquidate the metals, as his new company was prohibited from working with any former Oxford Gold Group clients. I felt tainted. I reached out to another company who helped me liquidate my metals and that's when I found out about the Oxford scam. In my situation, Oxford Gold Group sold the metals to me at a higher price, which I lost 25K at the beginning (My 25K never went into my ***). Somehow my balance never grew, it shrunk. All in all (including the 25K loss), they stole around 41K. Hopefully there is a class action lawsuit I can enter.Initial Complaint

Provided funds in value of $40,000 to purchase precious metals converting 401k proceeds for a precious metals *** to be held by Equity Trust depository in **************, **. The precious metals were never delivered, and received an unsolicited notification from Equity Trust that were no longer going to do business with Oxford Gold Group. Tried making several phone calls to Oxford Gold Group and was forward to a voicemail with no response to my messages. The Equity Trust *** # is *********.Initial Complaint

Last November, I contacted Oxford Gold Group partially because they were all over the radio stations I listened to, and at the time they didn't show anything on ****** indicating they weren't trustworthy...so I decided to transfer a 401 k which I had for years into physical gold through Oxford...and to be recieved by equity trust...the 401 transfer was handled by ****** *** of Oxford gold group and seemed very professional and I felt I was in good hands. Then a few months later i received a blanket letter from equity trust stating that they no longer were doing business with Oxford due to bad business practices on the part of oxford...end result is that my gold coins were never received by equity and now oxford is a ghost...can't get anywhere by phone or email...100k is alot for me to lose...please help if possibleInitial Complaint

11/17/2023- Not sure where I saw Oxford Gold. I was familiar with the name, spoke to financial guy. He felt it was safe. Sent 50K. They told me it would take 4-6 weeks to receive my silver & gold purchase. I waited and did not receive. Called and she said she would send message. No call. Went several months without calling due to illness. I couldn't reach my contact. Always busy. Finally, I called & it was busy but disconnected. Looked on brochure to get the main office. Did the same. So I went to the internet and discovered they shut down and many people were stating they lost their money. Hoping your company can assist. Reached out to *** but didn't get a response. Please let me know if you can help.Initial Complaint

On 6/29 2022 I paid Oxford Gold Group $32,680.70 for gold and silver. They were to deliver the precious metals to a depository in ****. About two years later, the depository stated that the metals had never been delivered. I called Oxford Gold Group. They stated that everything was fine and they did not know why Equity Institutional was sending the letters. After a few months went by, another letter arrived stating that the metals never arrived.Initial Complaint

After transferring a 401k with a balance of $72,011.33 to Equity Trust to purchase gold and silver in my *** in Jul 2023, I transferred my account from the management of ******** (whereby there was an approx balance of $34k in coin and $7,400 in cash). I picked out my gold and silver to be purchased through Oxford Gold Group in July 2023, but the could was never delivered. I discovered this in April 2024 when friends reached out to me asking if my coin had been delivered after Equity Trust sent a letter that they were parting ways with Oxford Gold Group.I saw transactions for coin in my account and did not notice that they were unfulfilled. I had extensive conversations with Equity Trust who assured me that they had a team working with the Oxford Gold Group customers to assist, but that was all talk. Then, I spoke to at least five people at Oxford Gold Group who gave me similar stories about a restructure and they they were working to fulfill all orders. My conversations went on from April to June when I felt defeated.Initial Complaint

I did a 401k rollover from my employer to Oxford gold. Apparently they never filled my order, kept my money, closed up shop and skipped town
