**** once was a customer focused and result driven company. When I initially chose **** it was quick to diagnose and resolve issues. Years later, ****'s focus is on finding a loophole to avoid providing service. My family and I have been displaced due to the **** not working. The heat is unbearable. **** assured me my issue was flagged as an emergency, yet it has now been over 8 days with no resolution. Not to mention they do not work proactively for the customer's benefit. I have to call several times a day to ensure the process is moving forward. 3x I discovered the process stalled, despite my calling, which led to an additional 24-hour delay each time. I was offered a portable ac unit with a $150 limit then told it has to go through another 24 hour review period!!! As it stands now, it will be 11 days before **** responds as they do not prioritize updates over the weekend or seemingly ever. If it was their family or loved one, would it be acceptable to continue to delay and stall on repair?

In recent years, my experience with this company has significantly declined. While premiums have continued to rise, the quality and reliability of their service have worsened. A recurring issue is their handling of service requests: after charging the service call fee, they often send contractors (for HVAC, plumbing, appliances, etc.) who follow a concerning patterndeclaring that the issue is not covered under the warranty and then attempting to upsell unnecessary and overpriced repairs.Subsequently, the company uses these reports to deny warranty coverage, often citing exclusions that were not transparently communicated. Despite raising multiple complaints about these practices, I received no meaningful support or ************* several instances, I was forced to hire independent, licensed contractors to resolve the actual issuessuch as a low HVAC Freon level due to a leak or a basic water valve replacementissues that should clearly fall under standard warranty coverage. Even after submitting professional reports and receipts, the company refused reimbursement. Their reasoning? That I should not have proceeded with the repair, even though they offered no viable path forward at the time. This pattern reflects a troubling strategy of avoiding responsibility and burdening the customer with both the cost and stress of repairs that are supposed to be covered. The entire experience has been frustrating, time-consuming, and financially wastefulespecially when dealing with serious home system issues that were precisely why I invested in their warranty plan.

First American Home Warranty (First American) has reviewed the consumer's warranty contract. First American's records indicate on January 2, 2025, the consumer placed a plumbing claim for their shower/tub. First American dispatched the claim to independent contractor Hey ******************** who diagnosed a leak coming from the shower structure and indicated the shower structure would need to be replaced. First American does not cover any cosmetic items in the home. The consumer may refer to their warranty contract section Limits of Liability 3 which states: Cosmetic defects are not covered. First American's record indicate the consumer placed a second claim on their refrigerator on April 23, 2025. The claim was dispatched to independent contractor ************************************************ who diagnosed the water tube, valve, ice maker, and damper being worn out. First American ordered the needed parts and authorized the contractor to complete the repair once they receive them. Once the contractor receives the parts they will contact the consumer and scheduled the needed repairs. First American considers the plumbing claim closed and the refrigerator claim pending.

To put it bluntly, First American Home Warranty is a scam and a bully. They are overpriced for the LIMITED services they offer. The representatives I have talked to have been extremely pushy and their only directive is to squeeze money out of you and waste your time. I talked to 5 different employees in the last 4 months and all of them were relentless in the pursuit of convincing me not cancel. It seems they are trained to step over your needs and press the companies needs. They seem desperate to hold on to their customers and the question why is obvious. They consistently push their customers to an almost breaking point by forcing the companys opinions down their throat. I was only with them for 1 year and they gouged me in any way they could. Do not make the mistake of signing up with them. It will take you hours of your time to cut ties with them; hours that you cant get back. These people are trained to break you down into a version of you that you never thought you could be. Avoid them at all costs.

Really nice customer service. However, I had a terrible experience with one of their contractors: ********* Plumbing. The company kept telling First American they were going to my apartment unit but they werent. After a month, I still had no resolution on my leaking warranty. When I asked several times if First American if they could assign me someone else due to the lack of integrity from ********* Plumbing, they kept telling me they had to give the company the opportunity to fix the problem. This went on and on until I threatened to cancel the policy with them. They denied my request because the plumber told them via a diagnosis that there was a slight possibility that my water heater went out because it was improperly installed. They didnt consider the possibility that it may have just been due to the water heater being old. So after a month of headaches, I ran into another one. It just ***** that you pay monthly for a service and at the time of service, theyll do anything not to pay it.

First American Home Warranty (First American) apologizes for the delays and inconveniences the consumer has experienced with their water heater claim. First American has reviewed the claim and our records indicate the consumer placed a claim on their water heater not heating the water on March 6, 2025. First American dispatched the claim to independent contractor ******************. Due to ongoing scheduling issues the claim was transferred to independent contractor ****************. The contractor notified First American that the t&p valve leaked shorting out the wiring for the upper thermostat and that the insulation was burnt. The contractor also noted the t&p drain line was not connected and a thermal expansion tank was missing so the installation of the water heater was not to code. First American denied the claim for secondary damage since the t&p leaking had caused the water heater to fail. Upon review the claim First American determined that the t&p leaking onto the wiring causing it to short out and burn the insulation would be considered a failure due to normal wear and tear. First American has contacted the consumer and advised the water heater will be covered for replacement and is currently working with **************** to authorize the replacement. First American will continue to follow up with the consumer and contractor throughout the replace the process. First American appreciates the consumer's patience in this matter.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with First American Home Warranty. I contacted them about a serious power issue in my kitchen no stove, no microwave, and no working lights and was told I would have to wait nine days for a contractor to come out.Having no functioning kitchen for over a week is absolutely unacceptable, especially for an emergency electrical issue. To make matters worse, I was informed that the only contractor available couldnt even come sooner their earliest availability was much later. This level of service is completely unacceptable for a company that advertises reliability and protection. I decided to cancel my policy immediately. Going forward, I will do much better research before trusting any home warranty company with my homes needs.First American Home Warranty seriously failed to meet basic expectations for timeliness and customer care.?

First American Home Warranty (First American) apologizes for the delays and inconveniences the consumer experienced with their electrical claim. First American's records indicate the consumer placed an electrical claim for no power to their kitchen area on April 27, 2025. The claim was dispatched to independent contractor ************************************* who were unable to schedule an appointment until May 5, 2025. The consumer requested sooner service but First American was unable to locate a contractor that could provide service prior to the May 5, 2025. The consumer cancelled the claim and due to having no power to the entire kitchen area had the repair completed outside the warranty contract. First American has contacted the consumer regarding the repair and due to the extenuating circumstances has provided reimbursement for the repairs the consumer had completed. First American appreciates the the consumer's patience in this matter and considers the claim closed.

I've had First American Home Warranty for just under two years, and I would honestly not recommend them. They have been adequate for very small claims, such as a clogged dishwasher and a dishwasher seal that needed to be replaced. However, they are completely useless for anything larger that would actually cost them money.Last summer, our A/C started to fail, and we filed a claim to have it inspected. The air conditioner would only work for an hour or two in the morning before going out for the rest of the day. The **** technician informed us that a new compressor was needed. First American Home Warranty would only cover a portion of the compressor cost when the compressor went completely out. Essentially, because the **** system still worked briefly each morning, they considered it operational, even though it was unusable for 2022 hours a day. They wanted me to wait until didn't work at all before they would do anything, and I would have still been responsible for thousands of dollars out of pocket to cover the replacement. I ended up just having the whole system replaced which was well over $10,000 since First American Home Warranty wasn't any help in getting my old system fixed. Additionally, their customer service is outsourced (as many companies do), but every time I called to speak with someone about the **** issue, the language barrier made it very difficult to explain the problem. None of the representatives I spoke with had strong enough English skills to provide effective assistance.Long story short: they do not care about fixing your problems. Their priority seems to be getting you to renew each year while hoping you dont actually use the warranty. Just know that youre not fully covered many repairs will still result in significant out-of-pocket costs. All insurance and warranty companies ****, and First American Home Warranty is no different.

According to our records, the consumer placed a claim on September 2, 2024, for their air conditioner not cooling. Round Tuit Heating and Air (Round Tuit) was dispatched and reported that at the time of service, the consumers air conditioner was functioning. They further noted that the consumer had mentioned the failure was intermittent and inquired about upgrading their system. On September 5, 2024,Round Tuit was recalled and on September 17, 2024, they again reported that at the time of service, the consumers unit was functioning. Therefore, they were unable to diagnose a failure, and the consumers claim was closed.

0 stars should be an option, ************ is the biggest scam I have ever seen. Here's my letter, which I still have not had a responce to .My experience with your company has been nothing short of frustrating and unacceptable. The lack of timely service, poor customer support, and failure to honor service requests have made it clear that this warranty is not worth the money or the hassle.I have attempted to get assistance multiple times, only to be met with long wait times, vague responses, and a complete lack of accountability. What is advertised as peace of mind has turned out to be a constant source of stress.Due to the poor service and failure to meet the basic expectations of a home warranty provider, I am terminating this contract immediately. I expect a full or prorated refund of any remaining premium paid, and written confirmation that my contract has been canceled without further charges. Please do not contact me for upselling, retention, or any other promotional purposes. If I do not receive confirmation of cancellation within 7 days, I will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau and leave a formal complaint on all relevant consumer protection platforms.worst insurance company I have ever delt with, the sad thing is I let them s**** me for over 10 years. somthing needs to be done to shut this compamny down.

This is a low budget home insurance operation. We have put in about 6 service requests. Half of them were not completed. Our home has high end appliances and this company will not replace them, but only offers "contractor grade" appliances. The contractors they get are also pretty low budget and unreliable. For the price of the "policy" I think it's better to just save the money and pay for the repairs when they need to be done.
