Today I needed to buy a general admission ticket. So I thought I was on the Woosox website but when I clicked on buy tickets for ******** routed me to ticket.com.I saw Berm ticket for $71. My daughter had a promotion ticket that said Berm so I said well I have to sit with her so I purchased it.Not realizing that you can buy a general admission ticket at the door for the Berm.Tickets.com should not be allowed to sell Berm tickets since they can be purchased at the door for like $15.00. What a scam. I chatted with them and they said in the disclosures it warns you that it could be above the value or whatever but seriously....GENERAL ADMISSION. I mean now I know that I can just buy tickets there but that is ridiculous that they would allow someone to sell a general admission ticket for more than any seat in the house. Ruined a day with my daughter!

I've never experienced such poor customer service or been treated with such disrespect in my life. Ive never filed a complaint before, but this situation left me frustrated, dismissed, and out nearly $80 for an experience I didnt even have. My wife and I were in **** for the day and decided to attend a ********* game. We bought two tickets online, selecting front-row seats in Section 105, planning to meet friends who got tickets from a helpful team member named *****. Immediately after purchase, I saw our seats were actually in the back row. Confused, I revisited the site but couldnt figure out what went wrong. I called customer service and spoke with ***, who explained the site often displays seats backwards and misleads buyers. She admitted this happens frequently and even suggested I might like the back row better, which felt dismissive. I explained I wanted the front row I believed I had selected. *** said it shouldnt be a problem since the order had just gone through. After multiple holds and giving her my order number, she told me it would cost $30 more per ticket to move. I declined and asked for a lateral switch to another front row. She agreed, said the cost was the same, and it would be a simple transfer. After another long hold, she said her supervisor denied the switch and Id have to come to the stadium in person with no guarantee of help. I called back asking to speak to her supervisor. *** remained professional throughout. My issue is with her supervisor, ****. easily the most unpleasant, dismissive person Ive ever dealt with in a customer-facing role. She spoke over me, wouldnt listen, and treated me like I didnt matter. She ended the call with no resolution. After nearly an hour, we chose not to attend. Our tickets were never scanned. Our friends said the stadium was mostly empty and staff interactions were similarly rude. $78 may not be much to some, but it matters to me. Im requesting a refund and hope youll take this feedback seriously.

On May 4, 2025, I did a ****** search for **** ****** & the Tijuana Brass Band's concert in *******, ** on 11-9-25 so I could buy tickets to the event. Tickets.com came up. I thought it was the official box office; not a ticket reseller. The official venue for the concert - the Seattle Symphony ************* -- did not appear towards the top of the search results. Tickets.com as well as a few other sites I checked all indicated tickets were in very limited supply. I purchased 2-tickets to the event for Row B not knowing I was on a reseller's website.. After purchasing the tickets, I was shocked to discover I would not actually receive the actual tickets until the day prior to the event. This gave me a very uncomfortable feeling, so I started doing more research. I discovered several consumer complaints online by people who purchased tickets to events who did not actually receive the tickets. I the process of doing my research, I finally found the official box off site - *************. That's when I discovered two tickets PLUS parking to the event on purchased on their site only costs $210.60. So, I had been scalped. But worse than that, their site clearly states "orders associated with known resellers may be canceled without notice." When I discovered tickets from known resellers would be cancelled I reached out to Tickets.com to try to cancel my order before the money was taken out of my account. They refused to do so. I reached out to *************. I was told the information on their website is correct they simply do not allow people who have purchased tickets from a secondary reseller to enter the event. Tickets.com is in the business of scalping tickets, misleading customers, engaging in false misleading advertising by posting on their site statements such as "Don't miss out! Only 12 tickets left" when in fact there are hundreds of tickets left. And, they are selling tickets to events for which the reselling of tickets is NOT allowed.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/12/2025

I am rejecting their response for 2 reasons. The first being that they have neglected to respond to the fact that they are selling tickets to an event that the official box office/venue where the event is held clearly states that only 2 parties are authorized to sell tickets.  The ************************** ************* is the venue for the sight. The information on their box office website clearly states, "ORDERS ASSOCIATED WITH KNOWN OR SUSPECTED RESELLERS MAY BE CANCELED WITHOUT NOTICE." It also states, "ONLY SEATTLE SYMPHONY AND NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC LIVE SUBSCRIBERS MAY EXCHANGE TICKETS." So, why is Tickets.com selling tickets on their site for an event they are not authorized to sell? Those tickets may not be honored by the official venue.  Secondly, while they do mentioned in a couple of locations that they are a reseller, that information is in small, black and white font, so it is easily missed.  Finally, they are clearly engaged in desceptive, misleading, high-pressure sales practices by claiming "only 12 tickets left" when the event was far from being sold out. I believe they need to clarify that they official box office may have other tickets available.

My biggest concern is the fact that they are re-selling tickets to an event that they do not have authorization from the official box office to sell.

      Thank you,

      ****** *******

      Business Response

      Date: 08/20/2025

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to our customers concerns. To clarify, ********************** does not purport to be an authorized reseller of the venues tickets. Tickets.coms careful labeling and presentation on the website and throughout the checkout process seeks to ensure that no reasonable viewer would believe that Tickets.com is officially connected to the venue when browsing the inventory on its website, www.tickets.com. Consumers can see that Tickets.com offers for resale multitudes of tickets to events across the country for live music, sports and theater. Furthermore, Tickets.com operates as a marketplace where buyers and sellers can meet to conduct their own transactions. Like ****** and ****, Tickets.com merely provides a digital marketplace through which vendors (i.e., ticket sellers) can offer products (i.e., tickets) to consumers interested in purchasing those products. We carefully screen our sellers and require representations that they are offering legitimate tickets in compliance with applicable law. As well, we provide a Buyer Guarantee that every ticket sold on our platform will be valid and authentic. Because we provide a marketplace for sellers to offer their lawfully obtained inventory, there is nothing harmful or unlawful about our activity. Therefore, we consider this matter closed.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 08/25/2025

I am not satisfied with their response BUT I will drop the issue at this point because luckily, my bank finally decided to approve my fraud complaint and refund me the money for the tickets. It is apparent that ********** is refusing to honor the ****************'s policy that only the Seattle Symphony and ******************* Live Subsribers may exchange tickets. They are clearly engaged in supporting their sellers who are scalping tickets because they too reap the benefits and make money by selling tickets to events as excessively high prices. They clearly do not care at all about the individuals (consumers( who have been misled by they carefully crafted wording on their website which implies an event is almost sold out when it fact there are ample tickets available.

I wish to drop this matter because Tickets.com will never admit they did anything wrong and pursuing it further will simply eat up valuable time on my part.

Thank you for your assistance in trying to resolve this matter.
