I called them about taxes I knew I owed and was investigating resolution. I spoke with *************************** and for **** they could get it resolved. I was transferred to a specialist in resolving these issues. He supposedly called the *** and told me I owed ****** in back taxes but he could get it settled for ****** and that the *** could and probably would drain my accounts for collection BUT I couldn't call the *** or the deal would be void. Also I would have have their company monitor my taxes for the next 5 years as part of the settlement. I paid. Something didn't seem right so I called the ***. To my amazement the *** told me I only owed **** in back taxes and in no way could I owe ******. I entered into an agreement with them based on false information. I have paid all the taxes and they want to hold my money hostage to sign an arbitration agreement. Below is their email. I want ALL of my money back. I based my decisions on false information. We have been forwarded an email from you regarding your case. A refund request can be processed for you, but if you are going to threaten litigation then it has to be elevated to our department for further review as there is a signed arbitration agreement. That being said, if you would like to get this matter resolved without further involvement, we can submit a refund request in the amount of retainer paid less work completed for you.Customer response

Our third party mediator has spoken to consumer numerous times. The consumer is unwilling to pay anything for the services. He threated saying if he didn't get all of his money back he would report ** to anyone that would listen. This complaint is a result of that. We tried to compromise with consumer but he says he doesn't want to pay for anything.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
I did ask for their help and for **** dollars they would. I paid that and I received a call later stating I owed ****** and they could settle for *****. To accept this offer I couldn't contact the *** or the offer was void and I would have to be under their supervision for 5 years, I paid. Sometimes didn't sound right so I called the *** the next day. and I only owed **** minus a 600 refund. I owed **** for 2023. At that time they only submitted one form I signed. I called they immediately and canceled, I did not owe that amount. I filed my back taxes and paid the **** in taxes. Now they are sending me an inflated bill offering to give back around ****. They want to keep **** for misleading me using fear tactics. Do not do business with them. And yes, I am considering filing with th FTC.

I am rejecting this response because:I hired you to do a job for **** and in return I was given untruthful information to bilk a 69 year old man out of thousands of dollars and try to cover your **** with "don't call the *** or you will loose your offer in compromise". I called you the next day calling you out and telling your agent to cancel. Now you send me a bill for **** for a job you were going to do for ****. That's what I call more than unreasonable. Refund my money.

There is nothing e could do to make consumer happy. He refuses to pay for any of the work we did. He actually threatened ** and said, "You are going to give me my money back or you are going to see what happens." Additionally, consumer would often call in intoxicated.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Their statements are not truthful. They collected ****** to pay back taxes that I didn't owe. Instead they paid no taxes, kept the money and sent me a bill for over ***** which I did not agree to. National Tax Advisory Services is doing everything they can to keep the money and save their reputation. I called them the next day to cancel when I found out their deception. I was very upset. I gave them close to ****** they paid no taxes and offered me a settlement of ****. And they say I'm unreasonable. 3 tax returns were due. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them.

********************* was deceptive in what he was offering with his services to eliminate my tax debt due to financial hardship. I was already in a payment plan with the *** and they were taking my federal tax refunds. All was well. He asked me if I would rather pay $2,500 vs. $8k that was owed. I had to cancel my $100 monthly payment to the *** to afford the $100 payments to him. I had to close my bank account to do so. All he did was get them to shelve the debt and I still owe all of it. I am in way worse circumstance after paying him $2,500 than I was prior to his deceptive services. When the *** takes my 2022 refund, I could pay off my entire debt with them if I paid the *** the money he took from me! The link in his email template goes to the tax site of another business, not the one he is representing. I will be uploading the email communication.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: I received the message today "consumer will be presented with a refund agreement." However, I just received a message their representative *******************, "Hey ******, They are not willing to eat the 750.00 Sorry" So they say they are going to offer a refund agreement and then turn around and refuse to consider a fraction of the full refund. By all means, please do as you say and offer a refund agreement.

Consumer charged back her payment, and now wants a full refund even though we present that we could wipe out her debt. Additionally, she has gotten bad advise from other CPAs that won't return phone calls of our representative. These CPAs lied to her to get her business and she believed it 100%.Initial Complaint

National Tax Advisory took my payments. Once payments where completed they stopped responding claiming ********************* no longer works there and a new agent was being assigned. Two new agents since but nothing ever was arranged to move forward. I asked for a refund and was only given an email to make the request. *** needs to refund for work not rendered.Business response

To whom it may concern:This letter is being created by *****************************, in response to a fraudulent and unauthorized payment of $3000.00 from my ***** Fargo account, after termination of services. This service was created in December of 2022 and was canceled immediately after in December of 2022. I have a text message saved and bank (***** Fargo) recorded statements of the termination of National Tax Avisory services, which I received No services on verbal agreements that was offered prior to cancelation. I would appreciate if *** would refund my total cost that was paid, in the sum of $3000.00 and taken from my account, with no further actions. The claim in the voicemail is that the company is rated an A+ on BBB. When I visited the BBB to search about this business, it is actually rated an F and many people claimed that this was a scam. This is false information and misleading to others. Please takes steps to prevent this from happening to others especially vulnerable adults or those that are desparate for support.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:They are asking for information that has already been provided in the voicemail recording submitted. No, I do not keep a log of harmful and bogus voicemails on my phone. I did expect that my attempt of protecting others from fraud and misinformation would be so difficult. I seriously do not understand how these people sleep at night.

I am rejecting this response because:I do not believe for one second that this was part of a smear campaign. The caller was quite positive about the company, and was trying to sell me tax services. I am not the only person with a similar complaint. If the agent was trying to negatively affect the ratings of your company, they would not have done such a convincing sales pitch. I have every belief that this was indeed your company and you may be hearing from me regarding this matter in the future.

Call from ************ received on 1/7/2023 10:31 am Immediately another call from same number at same time and left the following message: Hey there I must have missed you. It's ******* over at National Tax Advisory Services LLC. I tried you last week as well. This is a follow up notification regarding the new zero tax program that is now open for you. It looks like you possibly have some past money that's due which we can squash with this new deal. Basically it becomes non-collectible but you must elect to enroll this month. So give me a shout back at ************. Again it's **** from CC at ************. Thank you and talk to you later today".Call from ************ received on 1/7/23 at 10:54 am and was hung up on Phone is from Company is a SCAM company. Never received a previous call from them.
