Opened up a case probably a few years ago but I can't find out the exact date since I can no longer log into my account! As I was trying to log in, I was getting the error "Bad Credentials" even after receiving a confirmation email with my password! Before this fiasco, I setup a time for a phone call which I never received. Even tried to call the number ************ number which is either disconnected or no longer in service. Must have paid them in 10K to settle and file my missing taxes. When I thought it was all done and complete and filed for 2022, guess what? They kept my refund because the *** stated I still owe taxes!! Total scam!!!Business response

I hired them 22 months ago to fix an irs problem as they advertised. Last week I received 8-10 irs bills for all the years they " resolved"..... They claimed to have resolved the issue in Sept 22.Now I am being ignored by the company. They will not respond to me to continue case with IRS. So in a nutshell. I paid ****** to resolved my issue with IRS. Now the irs wants all the money by Christmas 23'They did not do the job they were hired to do.Business response

STOP *** is a total scam, I would not under any circumstances use them. I contracted with this company to assist in communication with the *** to help reduce withholding debt, penalties and interest. The initial person that I spoke to was very sympathetic and gave assurance that our debt could be reduced significantly. I even submitted all documentation that they required and wrote letters, provided doctor *********** etc.. I because we did not want to keep paying them to as they say monitor our credit no all communication stopped because I will not give them anymore money. That has not been communication in over a year . We paid over $2500 to this company, we complied with every request for all information, the level of frustration over the lack of communication, inability to speak to a real person that was handling our case and the fact that their was no resolution. This company is a SCAM! They do not attempt to reduce your liability, they only drain your bank account and when the real work is to be completed, they attempt a "resolution" that is not in the clients best interest. They should be outlawed and not allowed to operate.Business response

Below is an email I sent them today, 14 Jul 2023. I agreed to receiving their services in Oct 2022. After paying them some $3000 I have received no assistance in terms of abatement relief/debt reduction.I have not seen any penalty abatement and or reduction in what I owe at all. I have been making the agreed upon monthly payments (actually more). So I basically paid you all over $3000 to arrange a payment plan for the full amount owed. I could have done that. So, what did you all really do for me? I could have sent that money directly to the *** and would have come out better.I am very disappointed and feel taken advantage of. This company took me for a ride and I do not feel I was provided any sort of service at all. I f someone would like to respond to this message, you know how to contact me. We paid over ********* to this company, we complied with every request for all information, the level of frustration over the lack of communication, inability to speak to a real person that was handling our case and the fact that their was no resolution until this year with an offer of repayment to the *** that was ********* more than the original debt! This company is a SCAM! I hired Stop IRS Debt to take care of a tax issue that I did not understand I paid $1800 for this service. I cannot get an answer on letter head stating the results. I call I give all my information and I get no one to help me.This **** lady answered the and told me I was trying to rip the company off alls I want is the results which I paid for. I go on to my portal where I am supposed to be able to see everything done with my case and the message says bad credentials. As a courtesy we did place your account on hold until December. Since then accounting has attempted to reach out to you for several months to get your account back in good standing. Unfortunately we have left numerous voicemails, emails and texts and have not received a response. If we have an incorrect phone number please provide us with the correct number to reach you. In regard to the balance owed, you are in void of your contract as you have not paid the full fee agreed upon to our office for representation. Requested "StopIRSDebt.com" help me in reducing my amount of IRS debt I have for back taxes. In the past year I have went back and forth with them trying to reduce the debt. I even offered to pay a specific amount in the beginning of the process; but was told they needed to submit documents to reduce the debt and that it would take approximately 6 months to resolve. After a year i have paid to StopIRS Debt $2500 and all I have got in return are denials from the IRS to reduce my debt of approximately $15000. StopIRDebt set up a payment plan of $180 a month to the IRS; stating that i had to do this in order to show the IRS i was willing to pay something; i have been doing that for a year now and still no resolution. Everything StopIRSDebt has done i could have done just by calling the IRS myself. The service has been unacceptable and over the past 6 months they will hardly even respond to my emails or phone calls. I have even tried texting the lawyer i initially spoke with and she will not even respond. This company is a SCAM in my opinion. I am hoping for a refund so i can start over with someone else.Business response

I Hired the Company on 02-18-20-With Stop IRS making a Commitment to Reduce Amount owed to The United States Treasury. I Made on time monthly Payments totaling $5579.00. Stop IRS accepted payments and Basically did Nothing to help me. I'm in a worse situation now than when I started the process with them. At the present time I'm unemployed and contacted them for their assistance contacting the IRS-to inform them of my changed Situation. Stop IRS requested MORE funds (Which I Don't Have at this time) to "Reopen" my account. NOW they keep Harassing me with Phone calls-Voicemails and Emails. This company was hired over 3 years to take care of federal taxes. I have not been able to get anyone to contact me until today where I was treated rude and asked if I was on drugs. All of my fées have been paid for over a year. They have never even opened a case for me. I was also told if I contacted BBB I would be sued.Business response

We contacted the IRS, filed our Power of Attorney, placed a collection hold and ordered transcripts. We requested documents and information from the client many many times with no response. Finally in November of 2021, a year and a half later we placed his case in stop work. He then spoke to an Account Manager via Live chat and stated the following:***************** (Thu, 1/14/2021, 10:36:48 am) I understand that this is mostly my fault. I have had your number on block think it was a telemarketer. Please let me know what i need to do. After this, the client disappeared again, Not returning phone calls, emails nor returning any requested documents. The client went MIA from July 2021 until May 2022, at which time we stated it had been 2 years and we would need a new Power of Attorney to cover new years and restart the case. We have explained to the client several times that they must cooperate in order to resolve a case and per their contract they have a time frame in which they must respond. We gave the client ample time and even extended well beyond contractual deadlines. The case must be started over and a fee will be charged. Finally, I received an email on 1/28/21 from Kimberly Allen which was returned the next day. Again, no reply. I attempted another email a couple months later. Again, no rely. Then I received a call from *********** who totally lied telling me someone would return my call. Again nothing. *********** was from collections and took $800 from me and I never heard from him or anyone again. Tried several times calling *********** back who never returned my call. I have had several chats with stop IRS. I have pictures of most. Every time I was told someone would return my call. I was transferred to 4 or 5 different operators. Again, I was told my call would be returned. Again, no call returned. Finally, when I told the operator I was calling my attorney I was connected to someone who was very, very rude. After getting nowhere I was asked if I was "On Drugs". Upon ending the call I said I was just going to contact the BBB. I was then told if I did I would be sued. Since this time I have called to ask for transcripts for what was done on my case. I was told 1 to 2 weeks. I am now going on 5 weeks with no reply or transcripts. I understand I need to pay more fees but I was told I need to pay the original amount again plus additional fees. This situation happened during Covid and I understand the situation. I believe I should be credtded for my payment. I have been waiting for transcripts on my account for almost 8 weeks. I was told 1-2 weeks and still dont have them. I was told 4 weeks ago that you We're waiting for the IRS. I told the operator that I only wanted what Stop>IRS did. I was told they would go out soon. Still nothing. This is the same run around I received before. I don't understand why I cannot get these transcripts. I was told by "*******" by chat on December 20 at 7:06pm that I would receive them by email the next day. Never received anything. This is the same run around I have received the last 2 years.
