Very condescending people **************** especially their compliance department, I got my account canceled because I made a complaint on Mr ****** and his condescending communication towards me threatening me to pay $1,100, as I was beginning to ask him to explain everything, he belligerently said "you know we got deadlines right so there's nothing for you to get".. surprisingly I was dumbfounded by his professionalism and next thing he hangs up and blocks my phone number. I called the company back to talk to many condescending account Representatives that don't understand that I just gave them over $4,000 and now they're canceling my account forcing me to pay now $2,400 when I only own $450... the company's lawyer *********************** how did it go from $1,100 to $2,400 and why didn't the other two Representatives State $2400??? **** was extremely belligerent and belittled me humorously making fun of my plight. Telling me to have a good day I'm just having a bad day as I'm asking her questions in the scope of her job that she will not and reluctantly did not answer...******* Also Tease me about suing me and taking them to court as if that's something that will not happen to them, she also told me she is the owner representative , and I would be only speaking with her concerning my account and my complaint. I will give a shout out to ************and Ms. ***** are the only people who show professionalism at that job over the two years I've been paying them. I was robbed and tricked out of $4,000 clearly I need help and they just use and abuse their clients, .. I've been with this company for 2 years from their records

Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/10/31) */ The client has been very non-responsive until he was notified his case was in stop work with us. Our case Manager called, emailed and text the client trying to get them on the phone to discuss case options with the IRS and requesting documents. From February to May we attempted to reach the client. We sent a letter to the client's home address to about this issue and the letter was returned unable to forward. Finally Aug. 1st we were able to speak to the client at which time we explained he had not made his payments to us for several month. He stopped making payments in Dec 2021 and we were going to close the case until he made a single payment in June 2022. We also explained he is considerably past due for documents. With all this into play. We would have to restart his entire case and get a new power of attorney to cover the new year. The client became very irate and cursed at multiple employees and hung up. He then proceeded to call our offices multiple times yelling and cursing at multiple employees over and over. Due to this conduct he was asked not to call the offices again until he was able to conduct himself in a professional manner. He just emailed us asking us to call him 2 days ago.

I signed up with this company approximately 2 years ago to help with Federal taxes owed to the IRS. The first man that I spoke to on speaker with my husband was very friendly explained everything in detail and I wrote everything down that he told me. We were told to pay ***** to them to get the back taxes taken care of. I have paid the amount in question and never got anything resolved to this date. I have called them on occasion a few times and was told recently about a month ago that I still owe them **** which I truly believe to be incorrect. I also spoke to a supervisor there and she was very rude, not helpful at all and hung up on me. I have even emailed them to get this resolved and nothing. I also spoke to someone at the IRS and she informed me that no one has ever contacted them in reference to my back taxes. I feel that I have been scammed out of money to this company that I guess I should have been giving to the IRS to try and get my debt settled. I am very unhappy and certainly do not have money to just give away thinking I was doing something good to get things taken care of. I would really love to try and get this resolved as quickly as possible. I truly feel that they have taken my money and did absolutely nothing to help. I have emails that I have saved from them but no further documentation. Thank you

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/12) */ We were hired to resolve the client's tax issues and the client agreed to a payment plan with us for their fees for service. WE were close to the end and the client did not make final payments. We reached out to the client for this fee as well as some final documentation. We were not able to reach the client for almost a year. The client called in after receiving certified letters and everything was explained to the client and they did not agree. We offered to furnish documentation, copy of agreement etc but client was not satisfied with this. After a year of not being able to get a hold of the client via email, text and phone calls We would have to start the case all over again as all information would be old and outdated. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/08/18) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) They never tried to reach out to me. I tried to contact them several different times throughout the year. I kept getting the run around. I never received an email, phone call or letter about this. They said when we first signed up that we would receive emails and I only received 2 about needing information which I sent to them via scanning through email. I think they are a very shady company and what we were originally told is definitely how the business was ran or trying to help us. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/09/09) */ The client did not make the final payments to us as per the agreement. There is no way around this. We have documentation for all emails and phone calls. We would be more than happy to provide. No refund will be offered. As per the agreement the fees paid to date has been used up by the time spent on the case. Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/09/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I need them to provide documentation on the emails and phone calls that they supposedly made to me. Also I spoke to the IRS and they said that no one had contacted them on my behalf about my account. I cannot believe that they actually did anything with the money that was paid to them other than lie and scam myself and my husband. I want proof!

We hired Stop IRS Debit to help with our tax situation 1/2022. My fiancé and I had our own files. On 7/8 I received a call from ******* about the status of our accounts and docs needed. On 7/12 I received a call regarding my fiancés file from ********** stating we needed to pay them an additional $3k or they can't help us. I told him we couldn't afford that amount in full but could possible make something work in payments. I advised him I needed to look at our finances to see what we could make work. We messaged back and forth from the 7/12 until 7/21, going no longer than 48 hours between messages about the payment situation. We received a garnishment on 7/21 which prompted my call to ********** 7/21. The call quickly escalated to him verbally abusing me....calling me disgusting, multiple times, for saying I was busy with my child has to the reason I couldn't drop everything to call/text back immediately. He continued to tell me that we are in the position we are in because we were "dodging" his phone calls. I clearly had open communication with him as shown via time stamped messages. When I asked to speak to someone else to escalate this matter and report his verbal attack, he then told me he is the highest there is and he does not have a boss. I said I highly doubted he was the owner due to the way he was speaking to me and his reply was "the owner is the only person above me and he is sure as **** not going to get on the phone with you." I feel personally attacked and now in fear that he will do something vindictive to my personal file due to his anger. When I advised him this wasn't right and was going to get legal advise, ********** continued to use confrontation language. I have never felt so attacked as a person, unheard as a consumer, and unsafe that someone would take vindictive action towards me by abusing their power. These types of business practices is completely unfair, unwarranted, and unethical.

I reached out to this company to assist me with my taxes with the IRS. I paid them some money upfront and then a monthly payment and then paid a lump sum payment to rush my file for completion with the IRS. They did not fulfill their obligation on my case file but took my money and canceled my case because I was complaining about them not doing the job they were paid to do. I asked for a refund but they refused. I have called the IRS several times in regards to checking facts of the company and the only thing they did was order transcripts and immediately settled for an installment plan that was never discussed with me until I received documents in the mail from the IRS. They bearly worked on my case and I have been trying to speak with a tax attorney with their company but they will never call or email me back. They left me in a financial bind dealing with the IRS that I had to fix the things they messed up on my file. The IRS even stated that I could have done what they said they were going to do but didn't do anything on my behalf. Since they didn't fulfill their obligation, then they owe me a full or at least 50% of my money back. I am still dealing with the IRS to undo what they did til this day.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/07/01) */ We asked the client for documents numerous times and the client refused to provide them. She spoke to several managers and all explained we needed her to file her 2020 return and provide us a copy. The client refused to do this as well. The payment plan that was established was the best that could be done without the client provided what was asked. Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/07/07) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I provided everything they asked for and they did not ask for the tax returns until after I started to complain about them not doing anything on my case.Their account department told me if I paid in full they would expedite my case quicker. After I paid in full, the lies and excuses started with them. I could never speak with any attorneys that were working my case, only case workers who didn't know what was going on. They would miss scheduled meetings with me and then tell me someone would call me back. I would call the IRS and they would tell me that the only thing they did was ask for transcripts and asked for an installment agreement right out the gate without investigation the issue. I was able to get my taxes straighten out myself without the installment agreement and this was free. They are rude people and they closed out my my case without notifying me and when I called to check the status..this rude lady said she closed out my case because I was complaining too much when I called. They mad because I was checking behind them with the IRS and caught them half asking their job but taking people's money to do nothing. So, they need to refund my money for closing out my case for complaining and not doing their job that they were paid to do. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/07/13) */ All services were provided based on the contract. The 2020 return among other items were not provided as requested. No refund will be granted. Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2022/07/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I will just report them to the FTC as a scammer and fraud. And let the proper authorities investigate their practices for getting over on consumers.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/24) */ THe client hired us ot get the best possible results and the best settlement. THe client had no ability to pay a lump sum for a lump sum settlement so we negogiated a hardship which is $0 a month and the debt can be removed after 7 years. This does in fact save the client money and requires them to not pay anything while in this hardship. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/05/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I didn't tell them I wanted to file hardship, they took it upon themselves to file for hardship.I wanted them to negotiate the debt and they didn't try,so I feel they didn't work in my best interest. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/07/01) */ This was the best resolution available and client has no ability to pay a lumpsum based on information provided. No refund is warranted as they are paying nothing to the *** at this time.

My first correspondence with Stop IRS.com was on 10/07/2020, on 12/30/2020 signed papers and started the process, on 04/16/2021 paid in full for services of $******** and was told I was in stage four of the process, but with no results, I'm still waiting for results. on 04/22/2022 they requested my last three months of banking statements and most recent pay stub, I can't help to feel that this has been a scam from the time frame that has already passed, if I was told it was going to take two years+ I never would have used this service.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/25) */ The client hired us to assist them with their CA FTB issue. We spoke to the CA FTB multiple times and even got the Tax Payer Advocate service involved to resolve the client's case. The CA FTB requested updated documents and the client did not provide for multiple months. If they provide the documents we can resolve the case. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/05) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As stated above, I started this program back in 10/27/00. I PAID IN FULL. All I am getting is the run around for two tears. The company in question for TWO YEARS said that everything they needed to do was done and they were waiting on the tax company. Finally a week ago on May 31st at 2:25pm ***** from STOPIRS.com asked me for ANOTHER $850 our they wont continue to help me. I already paid in full, so for them to ask for more money is out of line. When I called to get an update and he told me I needed to pay more, he then started to say things like, "stop yelling, I can't help you, etc." I was not yelling (listen to the recording) and I believe he did this to hang up and not acknowledge that this was a scam and they took me for $****. They mentioned that they have been waiting for more documents from me for months. This is also untrue. They asked for my bank statements in which I provided it to them within a week. This was a while ago. At that time they did not mention needing more money. Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2022/07/01) */ We did not have all that was needed and sometimes the IRS and State agencies can ask for more information. If we do not receive we can not resolve. If the client provides the information immediately it can be resolved. Consumer Response /* (4200, 13, 2022/07/12) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I will call them yet again tomorrow.(which usually results in ** being on hold for 2hrs, for them to hang up on **.) But their statement above is claiming that I have not provided them with the information that they have requested. They have not addressed the fact that they are demanding more money for them to finish the service I have already paid in full. Please take note to the screen shots I have attached. This is 3 of the many emails I have sent them containing the info they have asked for but claimed they have not received. ******** *********** ******** I would be more than happy to forward this to the *** email to prove this company is scamming ** and I have complied with everything they have asked. When I started this program two years ago, they went under the name Veterans tax help. Very shameful the way they do business. Please tell ** how to proceed. I hired this company to help me resolve my issue, and it seems to be taking way too long. Today, I called the customer service to ask why my problem is not being resolved. The woman I spoke to was rude and condescending. She made a comment about my "status". I know what my status is, I don't need her to talk down to me, I am a disabled Veteran. She told me to "be quiet", when I was trying to explain something to her. At the end, she hung up on me.

I'm sorry I don't have the exact date we started our process with this company. It was my understanding that they were going to negotiate with IRS to reduce my debt. After several months and several phone calls I was told I needed to write letters explaining why these years were not paid and they could most likely be able to reduce my debt. I sent then the requested $**** fee and sat down and wrote the letters. After months of hearing nothing I called and was told it could take a year or so as IRS was backed up which I understand. The best call I was told that they had reduced my monthly payment from , I believe was $187 a month to $85 a month. I did not want this done as it only increased penalty and interest I would be accruing. They said we should have more of a settlement hopefully soon. I called after a few months and a gentleman told me they had rejected the request and I should write better letters because at this point it was closed case. I continued for months to get letters from IRS saying they were sorry for delay in my request but they were short staffed because of covid and things were more backed up. I had however been told by the people who were supposedly negotiating for me that it was closed. So a I called several times to see what was going on. Most of the operators were nice and polite but told me basically to be patient. THe last operator I talked to told me in no uncertain terms that she saw I was calling them too much, my cased was closed, so to stop calling them. I worked with the public so I am aware of a brush off. So I ended up with lower payments that I didn't want ans a clear dismissal of there interest in my issue. So I am out $**** that I could have just paid to IRS to reduce my debt and have a lower payment agreement with IRS that I didn't want since that is costing me money. I am retired and $**** is a big expense for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ****************

Not particularly happy with response. It takes me to their main number which is an extensive hold time. Then you get some random operator who can't really help. They either give you inaccurate info or they are rude and are no help at all. They were extremely helpful until they had payment then it felt like I was alway calling a phone room where no one was of any real help. I would expect to not have to be on hold all day and to have a specific person to talk to especially since they weren't really correct in their assessment of my letters.
