      Date: 04/01/2025

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) has received BBB Complaint 23128987.  We appreciate the opportunity to respond.
By way of background, on February 22, 2024 the customer executed a Debt Resolution Agreement with Americor to allow Americor to negotiate and settle his debts.  The customer agreed to make monthly deposits of $1,631.05 into a dedicated third-party savings account to accumulate funds to be used to negotiate and settle his 9 enrolled debts totaling $100,572.00 and to pay Americors fees. The estimated program length was to be 50 months.
Before the program was cancelled March *******, only three monthly deposits of $1,600.90 were received between March and May, 2024, one debt was removed, and one debt (One Main Financial Group) was settled.  The enrolled amount for One Main was $11,021.00 and the fee for negotiation and settlement of this debt was $2,975.67 ($11,021.00 x 27%).  This debt was settled on April 23, 2024 for $7,717,00 over twelve payments of $643.08 (with an additional $0.04 added to the last payment).  The customer accepted those terms via email.  The first payment was issued on the settlement on April 29, 2024, which is also when Americors fee was fully earned despite collection over time.  As outlined in the statement included in his complaint, settlement payments to One Main and service fee payments to Americor were issued between April 29, 2004 through August 30, 2024.  No subsequent settlement payments were made, or fees collected by Americor thereafter because insufficient funds remained in the customers dedicated account.

Upon cancellation of the program, the funds remaining in the dedicated account ($138.15) were refunded to the customer.

Accordingly, there were no incorrect charges and no additional refund is owed.

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) has received the customers rebuttal.
Mr.Kimanis refund check was originally issued on March 24, 2025.  Upon receipt of his rebuttal, we contacted him,and he asked not to receive a check.  His current address is different than the address provided in his agreement.  Accordingly, a stop payment was made for that check. Instead, the refund was sent to Mr. ****** by ACH directly into his account.  The payment cleared on April 4,2025.

I contacted americor about a debt consolidation program they have. The first ******** service *** was great, the second seemed great until I started asking any questions about the service. I was confused about the service, because I dont work in debt consolidation or trust. I beleived it was a debt consolidation loan, but instead it was the company calling my creditors to negotiate settlements and then use the amount I was paying into the trust to start ***aying the companies. I told her I'm looking for a loan. She said, and I quote "you have a blank credit score, there's no one anywhere that's giving you a loan" and I said "I don't think it's right for you to speak on behalf of other banks on wether or not they will decide to approve me" she said "I know they won't give you a loan, we submitted your application to 20 different major loan companies and they all said no" i then told her I was surprised at how angry she got that I was asking questions, and that her entire demeanor changed once I started asking. She was so rude and obnoxiously that I literally had to hang up on her. She then proceeds to call me multiple times, to which I had to block her. And then she emails me to which I requested no further contact. The issue is, she still kept emailing me after I requested no further contact. It wasn't until I threatened to fil harassment charges on her and her company that she decided to stop reaching out to me. Totally unacceptable, and I've attached screenshot of the email chain as well. This is literal harassment and this company should be embarrassed by how vile this employee is.

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) has received BBB Complaint ******** from Mr. ***********, and we have reviewed the communications referred to in his complaint.  While we understand and appreciate that Mr. *********** has his own point of view of how the end of the conversation occurred, we did not find that our agent acted inappropriately. She was trying to provide guidance to Mr. *********** in an effort to explain why the program was a good option for him. Nevertheless, we will be using this as a learning opportunity for all of our agents.

As to Mr.Chmielinskis request for no further contact, it is important to note that the email communications were only minutes apart and were not attempts to intentionally disregard the request. Pursuant to his request, we have placed him on our internal Do Not Communicate list and will not contact him by phone, text or email.

      Customer Answer

As I'm sure you have recordings of your phone calls with potential customers, I hope that you did not just respond without listening to the call.  If you actually listened to the call, you would know that your representative flat out telling a potential customer that there is no other bank that would approve them is a blatant lie.  If you are not an authorized representative for other financial institutions, then you have absolutely no business saying that other institutions will not approve a customer.  That would be like someone applying for a loan at a car dealership, the dealership does not get the customer approved through their banks, and then telling the customer that because they didn't get them approved, there's not a single other bank that will either, so this is your only option.  Its a blatant lie, it lacks a substantial foundation, and to be fair spreads misinformation too potential customers causing them to think that the ONLY option they have is to agree and sign up with your program.  The fact that you think that wrong doing was my interpretation of the phone call is blasphemy, what your employee said, the way she acted, the attitude and condescending approach, all of it is a terrible way to conduct business and frankly its predatory for an unsuspecting customer who has zero prior knowledge of finance.   Here's a  VERIFIED review from a customer whom used or participated in your service. "I am in the middle of an Americor nightmare. All my assets are being seized. They never even let me know that they were not going to help anymore with this specific case. I received a letter in the mail saying there was a levy against me and the next thing I know, my bank account was wiped out" It even makes more sense as to why there are no ****** reviews, or anything of the sort.  Its so your company can advertise a great reputation by only being allowed to read reviews that you guys pick and choose by posting on your website.

I was using americor to help with my debt relief and they did not negotiate with my creditors since i was in the program a year ago from today and so i terminated my account and got them to issue me a refund but i want to press charges against them for not doing what they were supposed to on the agreement. I am being sued by my creditors and it is all because they never negotiated terms with them.

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) has received Mr. *************** complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond.
By way of background, on February 20, 2024 Mr. ************** executed a Debt Resolution Agreement with Americor in order to settle some debts.   He agreed to make monthly deposits of $603.18 into a dedicated third-party savings account for the purpose of accumulating funds to be used to negotiate and settle his debts and to pay our fees.   At that time, he enrolled four debts.
A thorough review of Mr. *************** complaints uncovered some system errors that Americor is currently working to correct.  To amicably resolve this matter, Americor contacted Mr. Feuchtenberger  directly and offered a resolution.  However,  Mr. ************** simply requested a refund.  He was advised that a refund of $7,043.79 was processed 2/25/25 and cleared on 2/27/25.  In addition, there were $194.35 in payment processor fees that have been reversed and are in the process of being refunded to him also.
We thank Mr. ************** for his feedback and hope we have resolved his concerns.

I signed up with Americor to help settle a debt in July 2024 and was advised after the payment that was settled in July for a one time payment of $919.00 was settled with *******************. I was advised that I should receive a settlement letter within 90 days. I have been receiving late notices on my credit report and I am getting the run around from Americor and the issue has not been resolve. Americor received their collected settlement fee of $389.70 and is not trying to resolve the problem. I wrote two letters and I feel I am being ignored. I signed up with Americor to help with my problem, however they are adding on the problem. I did not and am not getting what I have paid for and have the letters that was sent to Americor to assist.

After multiple attempts and delays I requested they remove one unsettled account with ***** Fargo and resolve the other two. Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) has received Ms. ****** BBB complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond.
To provide background, Ms. ***** entered into a Debt Resolution Agreement with Americor on December 4, 2023.  As part of the agreement, she committed to making monthly deposits of $500.77 into a dedicated third-party savings account. These funds are intended to accumulate to be used to negotiate and settle her debts and cover our fees, with a program length of 42 months.

Three debts were enrolled in the program:
***********: Original debt of $13,564,with a 27% fee of $3,662.28. The settlement amount is $8,474.15.
Citicards CBNA: Original debt of $4,099, with a 27% fee of $1,106.73. The settlement amount is $3,800.00.
***** Fargo (WF): Original debt of $7,392. This account was removed per Ms. ****** request.

As of February 2, 2025, Ms. ***** has made a significant number of payments toward the *********** and Citicards settlements. We understand she intends to make final lump sum payoffs to settle these remaining debts.

Currently, the balance in the settlement account is $9,761.46. We also note that Ms. ***** has scheduled an additional deposit of $1,381 for February 10, 2025. Once this deposit is received, the account should have sufficient funds to complete the lump sum payoffs for both settlements.

We hope this clarifies the situation and look forward to resolving Ms. ****** account promptly after the remaining deposit is made.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I had file complaint number ******** which is shown as resolved but they continue to be problematic. On 2/13 I received an email notifying me the would stop future drafts and the account was paid. They processed an additional draft which resulted in $105 fees for returned checks. When asked to refund they denied stating 2/14 was the last day to stop the draft. They notified me on 2/13 theyd stop drafts which per their requirements is within the timeframe to stop. Im requesting they refund the 105 plus the 525 show on my account. They also show additional drafts still scheduled - 3/18 is the next scheduled. I request they update and remove all future drafts.

Americor Funding, LLC (Americor) acknowledges receipt of Ms. ****** follow-up communication.

After reviewing the communications outlined by Ms. ***** and conducting a detailed investigation,we determined that the agent correctly stated that the 2/18 deposit was already processing when Ms. ****** file was placed in Review for Completion status. However, the agent inadvertently provided the incorrect cut-off date of 2/14/2025. The correct cut-off date should have been 2/13/2025, as the bank was closed on 2/17/2025 in observance of Presidents Day, which impacted the processing timeline.

Americor refunded the deposit on March 3, 2025, as a result of this issue. Additionally,Americor is prepared to reimburse Ms. ***** for the returned check fees upon receipt of the relevant bank statement(s) or statement(s) showing the number of returned checks and the associated fees.  Once we receive this documentation, we will promptly process the reimbursement.

We sincerely hope this response addresses Ms. ****** concerns.

We remain available to assist with any further inquiries and encourage Ms. ***** to contact us if additional information is needed.

We look forward to hearing from Ms. ***** so we can proceed with processing the appropriate reimbursement.

I had a terrible consulting call. They were pushy and talked down on me when I was just asking for information to learn about my options. After feeling like I could not trust this rude consultant, I tried to end the conversation repeatedly saying I'm not ready and I just need time to think - then he used my financial information against me as scare tactics to manipulate me to sign up. They proceeded to pressure me, talk over me, and even gaslight me! This whole call was "recorded" by the way!For someone trying to get help with a sensitive situation, I did not feel helped or cared for. And I want to write this review to warn anyone who is considering Americor to use your intuition and not be coerced into something without unbiased information.I gave this person my full social security number. How do I know that I my identity will be safe? Who can I speak to about this rude consultant and ensure my ssn is safe? Who can I speak to about deleting my information?

I received mail for debt consolidation, an offer to get rid of my debt with good interest rate. After I saw the offer I called the number, the mail came in a different company name which is liberty and but when I called americor was on the phone, they lied to me and told me that they would be consolidate my debt with a loan, but after i gave them my information they told me that they would have to close all my accounts and i cant open any credit. After finding out that their offer wasnt as they said and that i wasnt speaking with the people who sent me the letter i sent an email to the person who was handling my info and told them to stop the application and remove my info from their system. I got no response, so i called them and when i did they picked up and asked me if i was recording the call, i said no and they told me that they couldnt help me and started screaming at me to intimidate me. They wouldnt pick up the call or even get back to me about it. I wanted to get my information removed from their systems, because after they got my info i started to receive more mail about debt consolidation. I feel like they are selling my data and private info i provided. Please help me assure that all of my info which include my social is safe from abuse.

I signed on with Americor last week for a debt consolidation program. I changed my mind and called them the next day to cancel. The guy on the phone was really upset and pushy. Their agreement states you can withdraw at any time with no penalty. I have notified them by email, by letter and by phone. I don't want them taking any money out of my account. That hasn't happened yet. I continue to get calls and emails. I just want a confirmation that my agreement with them has been cancelled and I want them to leave me alone

Business representative won't stop contacting me. ******* ******** was declined his offer for debt consolidation, became insulting and gave a backhand insult. He was told once to stop harassing me and three times to stop contacting me. Then he tried to turn it on me and told me to stop contacting me, which I did. Is this the way Americor does business? To harass people who decline their services?
