My background check was initiated on 8/28. I was requested to provide multiple documents, which I did. I have Independent Contractor work from the last 12 months, for which I provided documentation in the form of last year's ****. My independent contractor work was dated from 8/22 to present, meaning I am still affiliated with the company. I was then told that my documentation was not sufficient because it did not show a start and end date. There is no end date. I attempted to provide multiple other documents to detail my time there but none of them have been sufficient for the company. The documents provided are all I have available. I have tried reaching them by phone ( I requested the call-back option & still haven't received a call back almost a week later). I am currently on the chat function & have been waiting almost an hour for a representative. They continuously prompt me to call & ask for a call back but that will not be successful or an efficient use of my time. This is holding me up for a job that I am supposed to start next week. It would be great if someone could explain the idea of Independent Contractor work & tax forms to the people working here. Please stop asking for documents that are unavailable & complete my background check. I thought the whole purpose was to check for criminal activity. The rest of this is pointless & a waste of my time.Business Response

Paid ****** for a split sample dot test , was told it would take 7 to 10 days . It's been 16 days . Every time I call them , they say I they don't have a file for it until I tell them I have a receipt . Then they say they haven't heard from the lab . I asked for the labs contact number and I'm told they don't have one . It's a never ending cycle . I asked their MRO for verification on seals and was told they don't need one . Which they do unless described in step 2 of dot drug test , which has no remarks .Business Response

My background check supposed to been completed by 08/16/2023 it is now 08/23/2023 still nothing. Im afraid the company would take back their job offer so Im kinda frustrated ..I thought it was just my background check until I seen all of these complaints. These guys need to be shut down Im currently on the phone waiting for someone to answer and I have been on hold approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes this is crazy. On August 14 - 16 HireRight did a background check for the Company NCR. I've provided everything they asked me to. I gave my proof of previous employment with ****. I've been an independent contractor for 7 1/2 years. However, they still were giving me an issue which led to my background check being delayed. I don't trust this company because there's been fraudulent activity previously with another company. I don't feel comfortable giving them information of my IRS transcripts. I've never experienced such a thing like this. My background check should of been verified and finalized a week ago. I passed my urine test and all the other background check. But some odd reason Hire Right gave me a hard time. I sent my PDF documents of my 2016 - 2022 tax summary. This has been by far the worse experience I've encountered with being employed.Business Response

I don't feel comfortable giving you all anything that is private to me. Ive never experience such a terrible way to verify who I am and where did I work. *** never experienced such a terrible way to verify who I am and where did I work. It seems to me you all are giving me a hassle and it is unfair. I had previously encounter with a company that was fraudulent and asked me to use my IRS ID me method.Days later Indeed. Com personally sent me an email stating that particular job was flagged as a potential scam.A few weeks before the news warn everyone there were fake jobs trying to imitate as they were a legitimate business by using IRS ID ME. I definitely encountered with a company that was fraudulent and asked me to use my IRS ID ME. Ever since then I've been watching out for fake and fraudulent activities posting a legitimate jobs. I've never experienced such a big deal with verifying my employment history of 7 years. I gave every PDF tax summary Uber provided to me. I had to identify from that day forward, I no longer accept any type of job that asked me to do anything with the **** I find it very suspicious.Business Response

HireRight is in the process of doing my background check for my employer. I have submitted all documentation verifying my identity. Yet they keep asking for government ID with an MRZ code, such as a passport. I have repeatedly told them that I do not have one. Yet, they continue to hold up my background check process by constantly requesting it. I demand they cease such frivolous requests when they have already verified my identity and know that I don't have an ID with an MRZ code.Furthermore, increase your reading comprehension of the English language when I tell you I don't have something. Stop asking for it! Also, answer the customer service line. "Extended hold times" is a lie.Business Response

I have been trying to complete a background check via them for weeks. There isn't anyone available via phone and the online options are insufficient and has cost me a job that I was previously approved for. The potential income and opportunity is substantial.Business Response

I spoke with the hospital you contract with directly. Asking for me to create an account and provide you with a pin that is meant for private use only, is fraudulent. Further, W2s are not a method to verify employment history, as it only gives a year salary was received and not specific dates of service.Business Response

In August of 2019, I was deactivated from both Uber and Lyft, despite having a good rating on both platforms. I have spent the past 4 years trying to get an answer from both companies as to why I was deactivated. Both Uber and Lyft tell me I was deactivated because the other company deactivated me - I'm attaching screenshots of messages I received from each company. I understand that there is a regulation in ******* called TNP Rule **** and basically if one company deactivates a driver, it must be reported, and the other company will follow suit. Furthermore, I understand now that HireRight is the company that channels this information between companies.I believe there must be an error of some sort - perhaps a similar name or number transposed, but I don't know if the error was made by Uber, Lyft or HireRight. I'm hoping someone at HireRight will be willing to look up my information and help communicate to Uber and Lyft that I was not deactivated by the other company. This is all I want - to clear my name and to be able to have my driver accounts reactivated so I can earn some income.Business Response

On8/4/2019, I was contacted by Hire-right multiple times this entire week, However, today I received another email telling me they need my w-2 for Saar's and I already sent them about fifteen w-2s from different jobs dating back to 2019. I'm worn out from them trying to ask for the same information and driving far out just to appease and help this agency with my own background check. This agency is hired and paid to do their job, no the consumer. I am burnt out from them harassing me about finding information that they told these companies they could find. I believe this company lied to the companies because they beg the consumers, and future employees to help find their resources. They have given false information about my criminal history by telling my future employers that I have a Assault DV on my record. This company refuses to complete my background check on time placing me at risk of being unemployed or having a delayed start date. My background check was started on July 17th with a completion date promised to be before August 3rd. This company has previously performed a background check on me that took one week. I have had 3 background checks done by other companies in the past year and all of them took a few days. I have been in constant contact with this company trying to get them to complete the background check, escalate it, but they refuse.Business Response

I was so excited about my new job, but now multiple weeks later; all I feel is defeat. I was asked to complete a background check through HireRight for a new job. I submitted all documents and information on July 17th. I am being told at the new company they are waiting on my MVR results. For some reason, MVR results take over two weeks and counting. The case might be "closed" but my complaint was not addressed. My MVR results state " provided driver data not found". This is not acceptable. Do you need more information from me? I hold a valid drivers license that I have in my hand right now, so please tell me what data was not found. My report is not complete. Your application was submitted through Work Day integration whose information is either entered by the applicant or the recruiter. HireRight is unable to edit information received from this application submission. The relevant state allows for more than just one number of digits in a drivers license number. The drivers license number that was received left out one of the digits of your drivers license number. This is why the result came back as ******************** Not Found for the incomplete number. However, the prospective employer has since run another MVR with the correct drivers license number and has received a copy of the clear report, a copy of which you will also receive, along with a detailed letter.
