I continue to receive calls from this company inquiring about my property and the mortgage. I am on the do not call registry. Ive told them and every time they just hang up but when I asked for a supervisor, they still hang up so I cant get removed from the callsBusiness response

On 01/29/25 this company called me about a mortgage. I told them I was not interested as I already have a lender. They said they were not trying to sell me a loan and then proceeded to try to sell me a loan. I once again said I am not interested and hung up.All the above would be fine with me if it ended there. Instead they have called 7 times and sent 5 texts in the manner of an hour or so. Apparently no does not mean no to these people. The texts felt pretty aggressive like how could you possibly not be interested.Business response

There are several companies with the name E Mortgage in them, so I can't be sure this is our company. If this is one of our people it would helpful to know the name of the loan officer as this is not acceptable to us either. I am adding you to our internal do not call list.Customer response

This company calls many times a day, sometimes 5 times in half hour. Their practices are very scammer like; they buy information about people applying for mortgages or equity loans and then call and harass them incessantly. They refuse to stop calling, won't give me a Good faith ********* or any of their promises in writing,Business response

Based on the complaint I am not sure this is the right E Mortgage. We are E Mortgage Capital Inc. there are several companies with the name E Mortgage in their name. Many of our customers appreciate that we reach out to them as we are often able to offer them a better deal. Part of that would be providing a Loan Estimate to earn your business. Our people are trained to earn your business. Based on your complaint though I can see you do not wish to be contacted so I am adding you to our internal do not call list. If you continue to receive calls it would be helpful to get the loan officers name because if they are with our company, they will be disciplined.Initial Complaint

In April 2024, I worked with a mortgage lender from The ******* Team. The sales agent I interacted with, **** *****, initially presented me with a couple of loan options. However, when I received the loan disclosure, the terms were significantly different and included unexpected fees. Concerned by these surprise costs, I decided to explore other lenders.During this time, I explicitly requested that they delay ordering the appraisal report for a few days while I considered alternative options. Despite my request, they charged me $690 for the appraisal, which I am confident was never performed. After securing a better loan with another lender, I informed them that I would not be moving forward with their services.Unfortunately, the agents response was highly unprofessional. He became uncooperative and reportedly contacted the sellers agent to undermine my credibility, falsely claiming that I lacked the financial stability or creditworthiness to purchase the property.Since then, I have sent several emails, including copies to the divisional manager, *** *******, to request a refund of the $690 appraisal fee. This company somehow received our home data and info and are trying to solicit us for a mortgage. We did not authorize nor ever talk to them. We would never do business with a company that buys consumer info and tries scamming people with. Do not contact us ever again.Business response

These people will keep calling you. From random, similiar numbers. No matter what you do, how many times Ive asked to be removed. Just still call, they will hang up and not say anything and call back. Its so annoying. If this is how yall make your money its sick, and I know half of yall are broke and miserable asf cold calling a bunch of old people all day to take advantage of them. Based on the information provided I cannot determine if this complaint is aimed at the correct company. We make our living communicating with potential customers so it makes no sense someone in our company would call just to hang up. I am on the Federal Do Not Call Registry. Still, I keep getting predatory text messages about processing my IRRL mortgage with them. I have never worked with them on any loan, and am not now. They wont stop texting me about my VA loanand I am not a veteran! I am also reporting them for violating the registry.Business response

I have received unsolicited texts from someone claiming to be an E MORTGAGE Capital representative stating they got my information from Transunion, Equifax, and Experian regarding a mortgage pull. I have no mortgage and don't need a mortgage or any kind of loan. They even got my name incorrect. I believe this is a scam and I hope the person get's caught. The man's name who texted me is ****** ********* NMLS# ******* and the phone number used is: **************.I am now concerned someone is trying to steal our identity.Business response

We do indeed purchase consumer information from *********** of people they say are shopping for a mortgage. Many of our customers appreciate that we reach out to them as we are often able to offer a better deal. It is apparent that there is no interest here so I will add your information to our internal do not call list. It is likely many other companies have also purchased this information so i would suggest your reach out to the credit bureaus and let them know you do not wish to have these offers.
