A Frigid Fiasco: Our Airbnb Nightmare in the Face of a Blizzard If you're considering booking an Airbnb for your next mountain getaway, I implore you to read my harrowing tale of frustration, disappointment, and downright negligence before making your decision.Our reservation was for a 4 PM check-in. I messaged the host the day before asking for an early check-in, but they said it was unavailable. The morning of our arrival, we made our way up the mountain just before a blizzard was forecasted to hit. We arrived at the check-in office at 1 PM and asked again for an early check-in, but they maintained that it was not available.Upon arrival at the check-in office, we were informed that due to the blizzard, their cleaners were unable to come into work, and the place was not ready. They provided no assistance, only a phone number to call. Back in the car, I called the number, desperately trying to resolve the situation. They should have been aware early on that the unit would not be ready, but their lack of preparedness was astounding.When I called, they did offer a replacement unit, but what followed was nothing short of infuriating. They attempted to give us a smaller, less accommodating place for the same price. Our original reservation totaled around $4,000, while this new, subpar option would have only cost $2,000 for the same weekend. Not only were they unprepared for our arrival, but they also tried to rip us off after botching their scheduling.This fiasco was entirely unacceptable, leaving my family with small children stranded in the midst of a blizzard. We refused their so-called compensation and found accommodations elsewhere. I cannot emphasize enough how crucial it is to think twice before booking with this Airbnb. The lack of preparation and blatant disregard for our well-being were appalling, and I hope no one else has to endure a similar ordeal.AvantStay

AvantStay bought our prior management company and we decided to give them an opportunity with our short term rental. It has been exhausting. They didn't actively advertise our home on websites and we had low tenant response. They billed ** or overcharged ** to help them have an income. I fired them and they stole all my bed linens as well as towels and bed bug pillow cases. They completed the last cleaning and left stains all over the bath mat and a yellow sticky substance in our utility drawer. Please beware. Find someone you trust. Not a team.AvantStay

I worked for avantstay was terminated July XX XXXX, the day all house keepers on Oregon coast were terminated they had a bender or a independent contractor they for anyone that want to work under his license so any of us that was interested talked one on one with Jorge to see what job we could have working for him as soon as we finish I walked outside and kandace rusted me asking what he said and how much he was paying she works for avantstay., she had no business asking me anything and that violated my personal rights I feel violated by her isn't that against the law?AvantStay

We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay with AvantStay in LaJolla. We were lucky to have been met by a delightful young woman, Ashley, who helped us locate and enter the apartment. The apartment was beautifully situated and inside was quite comfortable and well-furnished and appointed. Only a few additions would complete the perfectness: not only olive oil, but some vinegar would have been nice. A small fan to move a little air on the warmer days would have been nice. Otherwise, we really appreciated the quality of the staff who helped to put our reservation together and explain the essentials. All in all, it was a thoroughly positive and enjoyable experience.AvantStay

Coachella Perfection - we booked a last-minute weekday trip to explore the area following spending time in San Diego. Our home was ready early, which was a great surprise as our kids were itching to get out of the car and into a pool. The home was perfectly clean, very well organized and stocked, and the design was modern, intentional and curated. We ended up spending most of the time at the house, lounging poolside. Grocery delivery proved to be ideal, as we were able to cook and blend smoothies on a whim. Our late check-out request was honored within minutes of asking and the local team could not have been nicer or more accommodating.AvantStay

How is it possible to secure a large home in October- Had to pay in full to secure the Malibu home for my family . Just 2 weeks ago they cancel with the reason -an extended stay overrules . What? We had to grab an airbnb at this short notice. I needed 8 bedrooms in Malibu for our sons wedding. They tried to offer a substitution with hotel suites in Thousand Oaks- not on the water- not a single home. Simple not acceptable. Beware of this company - they can cancel your order . Booking .com was no help either . Interesting that airbnb states we do not cancel and protects the enter- Avantstay and booking.com do not.AvantStay

The house was very clean and well stocked with nice bath products and plenty of towels and toilet paper. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, serve and clean.
Avantstay left some complimentary treats for us which was an unexpected and welcome touch! Checking in and out was easy.AvantStay
