Car was repossessed, payment was made in full for release, before date of loss that was given. Wilshire had signed over my title to the repossession company, negative remarks on credit report. Title to car is not in my name, same as registration. Car is legally not mine per title, vehicle is in my possession since I made payments and took possession of car 7/25/22 (approx). Wilshire will not fix this issue, with credit bureaus and state DMV.

I received a loan against my car for $5000 I ended up paying them 15,000 and then they wanted it additional 27,000 which you might as well call extortion due to my credit or whatever the situation was it's an American and they should never be able to get away with charging people those type of interest rates

I contacted wishire consumer numerous times but on 7/8/22 we were able to agree on a payoff settlement for $6670.70 I spoke to a CSR rep and I asked if I could split the payoff I needed a little more time as the payoff would expire 7/10/22I was granted an extension till 7/25/22 so on 7/8/22 I paid $5k and on 7/22/22 I called into pay the balance $1670.70 3 days prior to my extension expiring and I spoke to a supervisor ************ she told me to give 48hrs to allow pymt to process before calling to ask for my paid in full letter and inquire about my title well today 7/27/22 I spoke to a CSR then another supervisor **** and she was useless in not finding any notes infact the only note she conveniently found was one where the payoff expired 7/10/22I told her I asked for an extension on 7/8/22 the day I paid the $5k and that it actually expired on 7/25/22 but she would not be quiet and just was talking over me. I want my account to reflect paid and closed and most importantly I want my pink slip from these useless crooks and incompetent CSR's that work at Wilshire Consumer

I took a title-loan out with Wilshire ************************ I was making my payments but then I hit hard times and I missed 2 months they offered me a deferred payment option and I excepted but without notice came and took my car about a week later then when I called to see why they told me that I wasn't approved for the the deferment and they claimed that they didn't call me because they no longer had my number they also stated that they thought I knew I wasn't approved (Through physic power) because my aunt had called and tried to make a payment but they didn't except her debit/credit card they never told her either that I wasn't approved for the deferment. I called and levelheadedly tried to talk to the rude/disrespectful Reps I was hung up on and spoken to in the most unprofessional tone a rep could ever used until I started cussing people out it was crazy some even cussed back the supervisors were just as rude as if they put them through a course on how to disrespect customers I've never had to deal with anything like this EVER. So then they wanted me to pay almost a thousand to get my car back fully aware that I was laid off from my job I argued why do I pay tow fee when my car wasn't supposed to be towed and I was never given notice that I wasn't getting a deferred payment everything was so unprofessional and nobody in that company cared that ********************* it was like this was what they were trained to do. So I had to let them sell my car and because I was the sole owner the rest of the money remaining from what they say I owed them was supposed to come to me my car was sold on 4/12/22 it is now 7/27/22 and I have not received a dime from them. I've been calling for months about my money and they claim they don't know why I haven't been able to talk to a supervisor since May because they're either in a meeting or out the office they don't return calls. The**************** was $28,000 they are sending $7,400 these people are REAL CRIMINALS SO BEWARE

I applied for a title loan in March of 2022. Never received a loan. Never signed loan paperwork. And they have a title lean against my vehicle. I cannot get any supervisor to call me back or get one on the phone for me to request them send a lien release to the bmv so I can sell my vehicle

My name is **** *********. I am writing you out of desperation. Almost the same desperation that put me in the position to cause my current issue. A little over a year ago I got a title loan from a company called Advance America. A check cashing place that advertises to do other financial services. But the actual loan they were advertising in their business was with another company called Wilshire Consumer Credit, they are a financial institution out of California. I got the title loan through them. They had me fill out a form from the dmv to add them as a lein holder on the florida title for my jeep. I got a loan of 5000.00. The intrest was stated to be at 76% yearly. Yes 76%! I had an issue as we all did during 2020 and 2021 with work being slow. I thought id be able to pay in a few minths but that didn't happen. Now it's been over a year. I have paid them over 3000.00 and only less than 300 has been put toward the principal! I contacted the florida customer financial office and had email contact with ************ who is cc on this email. I was advised that there is nothing that can be done since the bank that actually wrote the loan, First Electronic Bank of Utah is well in Utah! So my major questions! Why is a business who IS in Florida, advertising for a company based out of California, and using a bank in Utah, allowed to sell this financial instrument without oversight and charging well over the allowed amount in this state, using Florida's own title documents, and not be subject to Florida laws! All paperwork was signed in the office at Advance America in Holly Hill Florida! Now when i ask for the current payoff as of today, my balance says I owe 5090.00. BUTTTTT.. Wilshire credit says the payoff is 5390.00! I am not a genius but something is screwy with this situation! Can someone please HELP! Thanks in advance. **** ********* PS... I have contacted them by email and calls and refuse to contact me back about this!

I got a title loan from Wilshire on 5/20/2019. The term was for 36 months with a payment of ******* beginning on 6/19/2019. To my surprise when I log into my account to make my 35th payment expecting to only see a remaining balance of ******* plus **** of fees I had accumulated, I see a total balance due of ********* plus the ***** When I signed the contract the amount financed was ********* and a finance charge of ********* for a total amount paid once all payments were made of *********** To date, I have already paid ********** and they are trying to tell me I still owe an additional ******* When I contacted customer service, the first rep I spoke to gave me a phony email address to send my information over to for review which was sent back to me as rejected. When I contacted customer service a second time the rep tried to give an explanation of additional accrued interest. When I requested to speak to a supervisor I was placed on hold only for the rep to come back and tell me that there weren't any supervisors available because they were in a meeting and she could have someone call me back. I agreed but I also requested the rep to give me the correct email address to resend all the information. She gave me another phony email that was also rejected. I have attached a copy of the original contract and a record of my payments which does not include the payment of ******* I paid today. I am not disputing that I still have a balance but it should only be for the final payment and **** in fees.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/07/14) */ Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/07/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I attempted to contact the company as is recommended in the letter several times for an explanation and lastly when I spoke to a "supervisor" finally I asked him what are my options and he said the only option was to extend the due date of the balloon payment to a month after. First off, it was never explained that there would be a balloon payment at the end and had he given me any other options for payment perhaps things would be different. I don't even have the car tied to the loan as collateral anymore, it broke down and has been towed and the fees are too high for me to try and get it back so Wilshire no longer can hold that over my head. If I pay anything it will be in my own timeframe and terms to see how the company likes that. Good Day! Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2022/07/25) */ See attached response and copy of extension. Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2022/07/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Obviously that letter was just typed up in response to my answer last time. I never received a letter at that time in 2020 nor was it explained verbally when I requested the deferment. I will not be paying that outrageous amount of interest. As I stated, I no longer even have the vehicle that I used as collateral. My credit is crap already hence the reason people turn to such high interest rate loans and then get screwed when it is known there is no way I can pay so much money for a "balloon" payment. Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2022/07/26) */ See attached rebuttal response. Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2022/07/27) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) It doesn't solve my issue. I am not going to pay anything except what I owe which is the last payment and the $220 for late/returned payment fees. Anything aside from that I am not going to pay. Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2022/07/28) */ See attached rebuttal response.
