    In April 2024, BBB investigated Flowershopping.com’s business practices. This investigation was prompted by the nature of complaints and customer reviews received by BBB. Consumers allege that the business fails to deliver products and issue a refund once requested, fails to deliver the correct order, and fails to deliver the product as advertised.

    On April 19, 2024, BBB sent the company a Business Practice Inquiry through email, to request the following information:
    -Provide a description of the business structure and how the business is able to deliver nationwide without boxing and shipping items;
    -The current quality control process in place of how the business ensures products are delivered to consumers, delivered on time, and that the correct product is delivered;
    -The current process in place to ensure refunds or redelivery is given to consumes that are eligible, under the 100% satisfaction guarantee;
    -The solution that is offered to consumers when products are not delivered, not delivered on time, or not the correct product, and are outside the 100% satisfaction guarantee;

    As of April 29, 2024, the business has not responded to BBB's request.

    Consumers with outstanding concerns are still encouraged to file a complaint for BBB records, but may also wish to file a complaint with the Attorney General’s Office and/or the Federal Trade Commission.

    On April 5, 2024, BBB requested Flowershopping.com to modify, substantiate, or discontinue claims made on their website (https://www.flowershopping.com/) that read, "SAME DAY", "Highest Quality - Lowest Prices", "SALE", "...committed to offering only the finest floral arrangements and gifts, backed by service that is friendly and prompt...That is why we always go the extra mile to make your floral gift perfect...", "Our flower by delivery system is second to none...", "...All our flowers are hand arranged by a professional designer and delivered fresh by a professional delivery driver, a difference the recipient is sure to notice and appreciate!...", "For the best and freshest flowers FlowerShopping.com has exactly what you’re looking for!", "...FlowerShopping.com offers the best flowers at the best prices with the very best customer service. Our unique personal service guarantee allows us to promise you the freshest, most colorful flowers, and the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements available...", "Our attention to quality is unmatched. As a result we proudly guarantee that the flowers we personally deliver will be absolutely radiant and long lasting." Additionally, on the company's Pinterest account (https://in.pinterest.com/flowershopping/) it read, "...committed to offering only the finest floral arrangements and gifts, backed by service that is friendly and prompt." Advertisers must be prepared to substantiate such claims per BBB's Code of Advertising. 

    BBB's Code of Advertising Section 29 states, Expressions of opinion or personal evaluation of the intangible qualities of a product or service are likely to be considered puffery. Such claims are not subject to the test of truth and accuracy and would not need substantiation. 29.2 Puffery may include statements such as “best food in the world” and “we try harder” as well as other individual opinions, statements of corporate pride, exaggerations, blustering and boasting statements upon which no reasonable buyer would be justified in relying. Puffery also includes general claims of superiority over comparable products that are so vague that it can be understood as nothing more than a mere expression of opinion. BBB’s Code of Advertising Section 12 states, Despite an advertiser's best efforts to ascertain competitive prices, the rapidity with which prices fluctuate and the difficulty of determining prices of all sellers at all times preclude an absolute knowledge of the truth of unqualified underselling/lowest price claims. 12.2 Unqualified underselling claims must be avoided. BBB's Code of Advertising Section 9 states, The unqualified term “sale” may be used in advertising only if there is a significant reduction from the advertiser's usual and customary price of the products or services offered and the sale is for a limited period of time. If the sale exceeds thirty (30) days, advertisers should be prepared to substantiate that the offering is indeed a valid price reduction and has not become their regular price. 9.2 Time limit sales must be observed. BBB's Code of Advertising Section 20 states, When using the term “warranty” or “guarantee” in product advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location, viewed on the advertiser’s website or, in the case of mail or telephone order sales, made available free on written request. BBB's Code of Advertising Section 34 states, Claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Additionally, BBB's Code of Advertising Section 1 states, The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB.
