      I called LegalZoom, Inc. and attempted to cancel Registered Agent services for the past two years in connection with an entity dissolved by the states. LegalZoom, Inc. ignored those requests and never cancelled the Registered Agent services. Instead, LegalZoom, Inc. continued to automatically charge my credit credit card for two additional payments of $299 (a combined total of $598) for already cancelled services. Even now, after the Registered Agent services were terminated and the dissolved company's credit card was cancelled, LegalZoom, Inc. still continues to annually bill two separate Registered Agent fees of $299/each per year for a combined total of $598/year for cancelled and undelivered services - which I only recently learned of from LegalZoom, Inc.'s collections agency, Caine & Weiner. In sum, (1) LegalZoom, Inc. refuses to refund payments of $598 for the previously cancelled services; (2) LegalZoom, Inc. refuses to cancel the Registered Agent services, as previously instructed; (3) LegalZoom, Inc. refuses to close the related LegalZoom, Inc. account, as previously instructed; and (4) LegalZoom, Inc. continues to bill for unearned fees totaling $598/year for already cancelled and undelivered Registered Agent services for debt collections purposes.

      I opened an LLC through Legal Zoom, and as of March 27, 2022 I filed a dissolution of my LLC also through Legal Zoom. The dissolution was successful and completed on March 28, 2022, as confirmed on the ** Secretary of State website (screenshot attached). Despite the dissolution, again processed through Legal Zoom, Legal Zoom continued to charge me a monthly amount of $49 for "Business Legal Plan Renewal" for the following 4 months. Those charges occurred on: April 18, 2022 May 18, 2022 June 18, 2022 July 18, 2022 I am requesting a refund in the amount of 4x $49 = $196 for those charges following the dissolution of my LLC.

      I just received a letter of collection from a third-party collection firm (**************) for a Legal Zoom charge for a service I canceled over two years ago. I registered my LLC with Legal Zoom in 2018 and did sign up for the service (RA + Legal Form Renewal) at the time, as part of the overall package, but at no point did Legal Zoom identify that future charges would be automatically taken out of my provided credit card. So I was surprised when, in late 2019, I had a $399 charge on my account. I called them at that time and was disconnected repeatedly, never even talking to a person. I resorted to using the chat program and attempted to cancel the recurring renewal for the following year. (I had to just eat the 2019 renewal fee, chalking it up to user error by not understanding at the time of sign up that it was an auto-renewal.) I thought that I was able to cancel it at that time, but obviously not, as apparently I was charged for the very same service I no longer needed. The only reason that Legal Zoom ultimately couldn't ding me for the amount was because I removed my credit card from the site payment options. So now they're trying to get money from me for a service I tried to cancel but wasn't able to. Legal Zoom has at no point in the last two years contacted me via email or phone or even letter. This is bad business and extremely shady. I want this collection letter expunged and my credit record untouched.

      DATE: 07/26/2022 I filed to have my business as a LLC with Legal Zoom for my Distribution company, and a file a DBA under my LLC, and they kept charging me for this Registered Agent company so I call them and they seem to be kind of helpful, but in actuality they want me to pay $60 to file a Registered Agent name change to get back $250 from them. This is not good business by charging me for this I DON'T NEED, and all these extra fees that you make it seem that comes already with the packages you list. I know they charged me way more than what I should've been charged. I WON'T USE LEGAL ZOOM for anything again. ************************************************************

      dates of transactions - oct 27, 2021, oct 23, 2020, oct 21, 2020 Filed LLC online with legalzoom. Was not aware of the "registered agent" fees, recurring charges applied. Upon receiving phone call, verbally said that I do not need the service, I filed LLC for a friend. Nothing happened, kept charging me, Called in ofter oct 27, 2021 charge, and explicitly said i need to cancel and get a refund for unused services, been told that the agent on file needs to be changed and they will refund me the money. The agent on file has been changed Jan 2022. After going through finances, noticed that the subscription is still active. Called in and complained, the customer service agent said that can only refund me the "prorated rate" starting the date of the call. Extremely unethical business practice, they have no ground to justify any payments received after Jan 2022 when they have been removed from the LLC with the Secretary of State.       Hello, My complaint is with LegalZoom, I started my own business and used their service to help me acquire an LLC. They offered me different options including one called "Tax Prep Essentials Plan" I didn't want anything that was unnecessary at the time. So I though I opted out of that feature. It turns out they were charging me $99 a month for this plan I didn't want, so I called to cancel last March. After receiving an email from LegalZoom saying my subscription has been canceled, they still kept charging. I called and asked why this was and if I could get a refund. Not only did they deny a refund they said they would keep charging me every month for a year. So to recap quickly, I purchased my LLC on October 11, 2021. I canceled my "Tax Prep Essential Plan" in March 2022, they continue to charge me to this day.

      LegalZoom did not contact me to complete my order prior to filing my request to the state of **********. The have a refund guarantee and also state they will not charge your card until the State processes your request. I submitted my order at 7:47 PM on 07/25/22 and called them at 5 AM on 07/26/22 to cancel, prior to the order being submitted to the State. They erroneously submitted a request to establish an LLC as my registered agent. I would like to cancel the request with the State and be refunded the $248 filing fee and $249 registered agent fee. LegalZoom has informed me I must contact the State to cancel and since the service was rendered, they will not refund my request.

      I called and attempted to cancel the registered agent services for the past few years, an RA is not needed in the state of ********. Each time I am being automatically re-billed and LegalZoom refuses to refund or cancel the service. With multiple years of being billed for services I had not known had been requested & I had asked to be cancelled. Only after pleading with the hired collections company was I told the remedy, I then spoke to Legal Zoom again who claimed they would have no way of removing RA until the state removed them. After I explained that I had called Legal **** many times and told them I would file with the BBB did they offer me to cancel their registered agent service (What I had asked them to do years ago).

      I placed an order to establish LLC on 6/27/2022. Today is 7/27/2022 and I still have not received my documents. I was told the fulfillment team entered the name as symbols and it was rejected by the state . I've spoken with multiple Legal Zoom representatives that said it was fixed and resubmitted and approved, yet I still have no documents, no LLC or EIN. Legal Zoom has been charging my card for services and yet I still have no documents for my business. I'm frustrated and pissed. I hired Legal Zoom thinking this would be a seamless process and it has not. I've been hung up on and just disregarded. I've asked for this to be escalated and yet nothing .

      I received a notice of debt collection in the mail on 7-26-22 from Caine & Weiner on behalf of LegalZoom for $399. This amount was allegedly for a Registered Agent service provided for my LLC. However, I received no other correspondence from LegalZoom regarding this renewal or any correspondence regarding fees due or services rendered after 2019. LegalZoom has my phone number and address and made no efforts to notify me of this renewal charge until I received this letter four years after I set up an account with them for my now defunct LLC. LegalZoom should remove the debt collection in my name from Caine & Weiner and terminate their account on file for my previous LLC without an attempt to charge me for services I did not request.
