I am charged with more than I anticipated, when I called customer service they put me on hold and left me there. the next person that answered did not know the question I had and I had to explain it all over again. I didn't realize it was a subscription and all of the services they offer I can do for much less or do not need. My LLC has been in process now 10 days after it said that it would be finalized. I don't know where my money has gone and if I am actually filed for a business because when I go to my state site it does not show any record. I also cannot cancel one of the services with them and I am afraid they are going to take another $199 dollars from my account. I don't know what to do from here!!

Legal zoom charged us a registered agent fee for years when they were not our registered agent, and in fact we had another registered agent on file. Then when attempting to file for a trademark, they informed us of their policy to submit the application with legal zooms email and phone number, as the trademark office would only confer with a lawyer. When our application was reviewed, the trademark office could not process it because of this, and contacted legal zoom. Legal zoom is now demanding $99 just to send us the full details in the correspondence from the trademark office so we cant even take care of refilling ourselves. We never should have used them for anything. We are now handling things ourselves with our BA and lawyer.

I started my LLC with Legal Zoom and paid over 1000 to get my business started. However, after starting my business I realized that there are many hidden fees for Legal Zoom and that everything they say they will do for you also requires extra fees to get them done. For example my account was put on an automatic renewal for a registered agent service (250 a year) with a registered agent that isn't even in my town but across the state. This registered agent receives any legal correspondence for my company yet does not contact me when they receive it. Then LegalZoom changed my registered agent without my knowledge to another city in ***** (from ****** to ******) I tried changing my registered agent to one that was from my city in ******* and they changed it back and then charged me for another year of service. When I asked if I could change it they refused to do so and will not refund me a prorated amount for the service.They have also been charging and renewing a service for paperwork compliance all of which is already completed by my tax person. I hired a tax person because when I tried to do the filing through legal zoom I was going to be charged extra for a person to guide me through filing these papers. I didn't understand what the 280 fee was for if I needed to hire someone in addition to the service. When I asked to cancel this service as well they would not refund or pro-rate the amount for the service. I was very happy with their legal consultation service. This is a 50 a month charge, however, with over five hundred dollars in renewals for services that I do not need, I cannot afford to pay the monthly service.Be wary of using this company to start your business. As a small business person who is barely starting, this company is not very empathetic toward its customers. If you are not careful, you will be hoodwinked into paying for services that you will not use.

They took over 1700 dollars out of my bank account over 3.8 years all while telling me my business was in good standing when it never was. I filled out all of the paperwork they gave me and spoke to one of their representatives who asked me about my business model. I did everything they told me to only to find out they had been lying to me for years.They made it as difficult as possible for me to cancel my account. I had to talk to a representative because I couldn't cancel any of my payments myself. Then, when I told them what happened they offered me no restitution. Even if I had missed something, they should have told me. They should NOT have continued taking money out of my account when they weren't doing their jobs.

Paid legal zoom to help me create my sole proprietorship. After weeks of no activity I decided to research the subject myself and found that I can go down to the county clerk office myself and file it and be done with it. Once I was done and I contacted legal zoom and informed them they no longer have my consent to file anything under my name anymore and that I would like a refund for doing the job I paid them to do. They acknowledged this, confirmed that nothing has been filed yet, and will make sure nothing gets filed. About a day later, coincidentally, I receive a message that they just sent my papers off and are waiting to hear back from the county clerk, meaning they went ahead and filed for me after I already did and told them not too. After hours of being on hold, multiple calls with an outsourced call center, I finally got Stiffany ****** *. Of the customer success team, to agree to refund me money as soon as the county clerk denies the paperwork legal zoom tried to file. Its been well over a month and stiffany will not email me back and when I inquired she told me its my responsibility to contact the county clerk and tell them they need to reject the paperwork legal zoom filed without my permission. Do not use this company. Do the research and do it yourself. Youll learn a thing or two in the process if you actually want to run your business successfully. Filing my sole prop took 30 minutes. Legal zoom took WEEKS.

This is the worst service ever! They have an issue with the survey so I couldnt complete my application. Its causing delays to my llc formation. I am scared the name will be taken. I want a refund! Its your problem fix it but don't keep me hanging. I spoke to a rep on 8/15/ 2024 at 7 pm and she said they needed to change the code at the backend for the website to work properly. Please proceed with the refund.

This is one of the most inept companies I have ever worked with. They took our money from two different accounts and after 4 years we still do not have a resolution, in filing the paperwork. They have lost the paperwork 4 times on both accounts. We have spent months on hold trying to speak to a representative to get them to file our documents. They promise to file them after we submit the paperwork each time and then email us months later telling us that they do not have the paperwork again and want us to complete it all over again. If this is not total incompetence I do not know what is. Because this has taken so long they do not want to give us a full refund. This is unbelievable when all of this is on their service team, who did not complete the paperwork promptly. We will be suing this company. With the amount of complaints, I am sure there are others are doing the same.

Still waiting 3+ weeks for a simple print and digital copy of a Basic Living Trust. Their chat service is a run-around, asking the same questions repeatedly. They cannot answer the status of an order. Never use them.

Same issue as several others. I spoke with several Legalzoom employees and they assured me they have cancelled my account and filed proper papers to dissolve my LLC. They still continue to charge my account and not even sure if they are lying about dissolving my LLC. This has been going on for the past 2 years.This may require taking legal action against LegalZoom.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company and strongly recommend that others avoid doing business with them. Here's what happened:False ************************ advertised that they would handle the publication of my *** (Doing Business As) statement in the appropriate newspaper and provide proof of publication. However, more than three months have passed, and I have yet to receive any proof of publication. I confirmed with the county that the publication was never submitted.Failure to Follow Up: I contacted the company six weeks ago and was told there was nothing more for me to do and that I just needed to wait. Following their advice led to missing the publication deadline. Now, I'm being told I need to start the entire process over again.Lack of Accountability: Despite their assurances, the *** filing process was incomplete, and I am left with the task of restarting everything. This company has not addressed their failure to perform the services as promised, nor have they issued a refund or provided any meaningful resolution.Poor ***************** Communication with their agents was unhelpful and repetitive. I was given the runaround with no clear answers or solutions.If you're considering using this company for your *** filing or any similar services, I advise you to look elsewhere. My experience has been frustrating and unproductive, and their failure to deliver on their promises has caused significant delays and additional stress.
