CORE Realty, a **********-based company, owns our *********, **, apartment building. The building is almost always unsecured, and we are now demonstrably a target for theft. Over two years for several stretches of many months & the great majority of the time period, multiple exterior door locks or latches have been broken and were easily accessible to anyone. For the majority of this same time period the parking deck has been unsecured. I can't think of a time period of more than one month where all entrances to the building were only accessible by key holding tenants or employees. Several fellow tenants in our social circle and now this week members of my household have been a victim of theft. I have to imagine so have many others.In addition, there is a track record of general negligence and a throw-up-our-hands-what-can-we-do attitude. It has been implied that the on-site management team is not provided with the resources to properly assist residents with day-to-day issues, amenities upkeep, or these more serious security concerns, though they do try their best.What is more, they skew their ****** review score by offering a refund on application fees upon the publishing of a ****** review, meaning almost all positive reviews come from brand new tenants.Business response

Apartment complex has failed to provide secure access for over two years and despite many complaints, no improvements have been made....now my laptop has been stolen from what is supposed to be a secure parking area. I've also heard that car parts have been stolen. I have seen with my own eyes: Car windows that have been smashed in. This is getting ridiculous. They have made us a target in our neighborhood by making access to the parking garage constantly open when there is supposed to be a full in and out. It is constantly broken. This is a serious and preventable safety issue.Business response

I AM A NEW ******* THAT HAS BEEN ON THE PROPERTY FOR 11 DAYS. THERE ARE 3 RACOONS LIVING WITH ME ALSO. I HAVE FILMED THEM AND I HAVE TAKING 11 VIDEOS OF THE ****** I'VE ASKED THE OFFICE TO HANDLE IT SO TERMINX PLACED A TRAP UP STAIRS WEEKS AGO. SOON AFTER IT WAS PLACED THE RACOONS CAME BACK AND NEVER LEFT. I TOLD THE OFFICE ABOUT THE **** IN THE BUILDING BUT, I GOT NOTHING. I PAY $1114.00 AND I SLEEP DOWN STAIRS BECAUSE OF THE ***** AND I'M AFRAID OF THEM. IT NEVER STOPS. I LOVE MY AREA BUT, PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO STOP MY HEADACHES. PLEASE MAKE THE PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR YOU- DO THEIR JOBS. I DON'T FEEL SAFE AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS TAKEN SO LONG TO FIX. I have submitted an application to this property to live in one of their apartments December 22 2021 and paid all applicable fees. My move out date was December 30th. The management company has yet to process the application or refund the money for the application cancellation. They have not communicated with me whats going on with the application and when I reached out to the property management myself I was lied to about what was going on making me miss my move out date. Its been two weeks and still no form of communication has happened from the property about the application or the refund. Despite the numerous attempts to get in contact with the business.Business response
