They made me sign a waiver for the gym - little did I know it was a monthly contract that I never even received a copy of! Shady practice and business. Shame on you to the general manager.

Ive joined Golds Gym because of a promotion they were marketing: Refer three members and get three years free. Before starting, I spoke with the manager in charge to clarify the details and set up agreements with my clients to participate. I even offered discounted training to encourage them to join, putting in my own time and effort. However, throughout the three months, I discovered critical information about the promotion that wasnt disclosed to me upfrontdetails that directly impacted my ability to qualify. This information should have been made clear from the start. Despite fulfilling my end of the deal, Golds Gym didnt honor their promise.I later found a loophole that contradicted one of their reasons for denying me credit. The promotion was supposedly for new members, and I paid out of pocket for my clients memberships, which were priced at the new member rate. By their logic, I had met the requirements, yet they still refused to credit me. Adding to the frustration, my clients, who never even used their memberships, were charged additional annual fees on top of what I already paid, draining more money from both their pockets and mine. When I brought these issues to Golds Gym, they avoided me, dismissed my concerns, and left all the responsibility on me

I had a terrible experience at Golds Gym. The staff was incredibly rude and dismissive, showing no interest in helping me with my issue. I was given false information about their account freezing policy, which caused unnecessary charges and frustration. When I tried to resolve the problem, the employees were unprofessional and unhelpful, making it clear they lacked proper training. Their so-called customer service is non-existent, and I wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone. Absolutely unacceptably

They have been charging for months, having cancelled the account in person.

awful gym and awful customer service. I want to cancel my gym membership and they wont unless I pay them money to for a buyout. I never had this problem at Planet Fitness LA Fitness or at **************. I'm not happy with the gym and they are telling me that I cannot cancel unless I"m being deployed to the military or moving or if I'm injured which I would then need proof of all this. I just want to be done with this gym and have them stop charging my membership. This is they worst I had to deal with and they.

The gym has hidden fees when you try to cancel. They'll tell you anything you want to hear when signing up, even though it's all rubbish.

Quick Notes:-There are hidden fee policies that are not explicitly stated when signing for your agreement to join during promotional periods. -Gym is not kept clean in bathroom or swim pool areas. -This location prioritizes money and business needs over loyal customers. -Poor customer service on part of front desk staff member ******* and manager, ************************* -Overview: ************************* the manager of Golds Gym dtla as well staff member ****** were extremely unhelpful in providing me a solution to cancellation. Not only did they make me pay an additional months worth of a gym membership I had not used. They had no knowledge of the policy and support they could provide the customer. Moreover, ************************* suggested I freeze my account which would result in my inability to go to the gym but require a payment of $30 for three months as well as $54 for the last month. This would amount to $84+tax which would mean I would be paying more the delay the payment. *** been managing family matters and explained this to the manager. No remorse, no consideration, he simply asked either I pay the fee today or more down the road. ******, spoke to me in a condensing manner implying that I had malicious intent when calling. I paid the fee, but I will never in my entire existence go back to any Golds Gym location. Thank you ****** and ************************* for providing absolutely horrendous customer service experience, especially at a time like this.

This is a business looking for a sale rather than the safety of their members. My stepson signed up with his mother (paying cash) at 12 years old. They assumed his mother was telling them the truth when she told them he was 13. There wasnt any verification of his age and he was told he could come to the gym on his own without any supervision. I have been in the fitness industry for over 20 years as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and manager of multiple gyms. I have never seen such negligence when it comes to kids having the access of gym equipment without supervision that could potentially hurt them, especially while they are still growing. Their policy is that kids ***** must be supervised at all times by an adult while in the the gym. They clearly dont follow their own policies. When I called to have them explain to me their reasoning allowing my stepson in without supervision, they told me they have a lot of kids who workout and hangout there without supervision. This is completely irresponsible of the parents looking for babysitting and the gym for trying to make a buck at the kids expense.

HI! Which location are you referring to? While the policy is to allow 13 and up join the gym, we do rely on the parent to provide accurate date of birth. Please feel free to email me at ******************************************** with additional information and we can look into the matter. Thank you.
