I was lead to believe I would be payed partial payment - for vehicle I payed for but had to file for abandonment - it was resold and they said they would reimburse part of the funds - YES I realize they take into account new price minus all their fees but its been since Mid September and no check has been mailed to me. There automated phone services wasnt very helpful and I kept getting disconnected. After calling back 3 times I was told someone in PICK - UP SUPPORT would call?? There needs to be a customer service rep available for people needing assistance. I took a flight, bus and cab just to get to to place where vehicle was. Couldnt drive off lot and with all the fine print I didnt understand that there was massive repairs needed, plus towing, paying for new key, battery ( you get my point). So yes I admit to Abandoning the vehicle but it WAS RESOLD and one person ( by phone ) said they would mail check but that was over a month ago. I definitely learned my ****** but know that *********** / GovPlanet has very poor customer service. Just read everything and have a mechanic with you for guidance. I was by myself.Review from Eric M

Not to contradict the tremendous amount of bad reviews, but my experience and purchase was flawless. Caveat: I bought through their "Marketplace E", which is a reselling market for similar equipment that you get at regular auction, so maybe processes (or at least personnel) are slightly different, but this is still part of the ********* services, and for me this service worked perfectly.I found a refurbished ***** that I liked on their Marketplace E. I placed an offer for the vehicle and waited the 2 business days for what I expected would be an accept, decline, or counter offer. After 4 business days I called the ********* sales department to see what was up. They informed me that the seller had set a low-end, so my offer was deemed unacceptable and was therefore classified as "invalid". It probably would have been nice to know that "invalid" was another option, but they do provide you a number to call in the event that you have questions about your offer. So I guess if you are a serious bidder, you will call the number, which is exactly what I did. They explained the reason that my bid was stuck, they offered to call the seller and mediate a fair price for me, and I truly believe that I got a fair price. I received the title for the ***** before it even arrived, and the ***** I received was exactly as advertised by the seller. If I had to say something negative (or really "informative") for the buyer, it's that don't be off-put by the extreme inconsistency in business names. I read this on a review, so I knew what to expect, but it was still a little unnerving to see. In my case, I found a vehicle on *********, though the pictures were watermarked as IronPlanet, when I called sales they answered as IronPlanet, yet when they called Caller ID said ******* ***** and Invoice went through TruckPlanet! Crazy and confusing, but if you expect it before you start, then you just roll with it through the process.Review from Mark W

The positive part of this review is the item I purchased did match the description and the photos on the auction site. I have not had any issues with the item itself. However, the issues started with the SF97. According to the understanding of the terms and conditions, the purchase price does include the SF97. After waiting several months for the SF97 to arrive, I contacted ********* only to learn there was an additional fee for the SF97. After several phone calls and emails, I decided the $69 for the SF97 was not worth the time and therefore paid for the SF97.After 50 days, I have yet to receive the SF97. I continue to be told the SF97 is still in process and will receive an email with the tracking number once processing is complete. As a side note it is interesting how quickly GovPlanet takes payment yet will take time to process the SF97.My recommendation is to not use GovPlanet when purchasing items that require an SF97. GovPlanet's customer service is extremely poor and the continued delays are not worth the time or effort.Review from BHUPINDER M

I bid and won a vehicle on 11/16/2022. I reviewed the the vehicle report many times before biding on the item. It seemed like it required some repairs but nothing i couldn't take care of.I paid for the vehicle on 11/21/2022.I contacted them on a weekly basis to request information regarding my SF97 and I would get the same bs run around every time. " I apologize I do not have much more information to give. Typically, it does take around the ***** business days, unfortunately that is an estimated timeframe not a guarantee. Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience and understand your frustration. We are doing everything on our end to get this document back and sent out to you." Till I took the time to track down the email address of the *** of ******* Brothers ***********************. Now I had their attention and received a call from ********************* SVP.I had the vehicle towed to a local shop to go over it and make any necessary repairs and i was informed that the transmission was shot. I filed a dispute against their ********************* and received the following. "The dispute submission on GovPlanet Item # ******* has been denied. The basis for this decision is due to the fact that the inspection report clearly stated that this unit was being offered as a non-operational unit."so an item that i bid **************************** close to *****. Now its lawn art the my wife wont stop complaining about. I finally received an SF97 on 3/16/2023 but its is in iron planets name and not mine. Which means I cannot register the vehicle. I tried calling ********************* and no answer... surprise surprise. I intend to contact some attorneys this week and find out the best course of action to take.Review from Shane C

******** ** Site is Sketchy My Issues with **********, unnecessarily spent $1000's of dollars and scores of hours in unnecessary trips and expenses in trying to obtain items sold at auction: -They have closed facilities/changed pickup locations without notifying customers resulting in costly "mis-trips". Pickup locations are still wrong on their invoices and item releases causing undue customer confusion. -Item counts advertised and sold were different when I went to pick up times (10% less approximately). -Item sold was missing when I went to pickup item. -Misrepresenting weight of items (****** lbs their estimate vs actual 13,000lbs) that caused unnecessary expensive trucking ( $812 ) under threat of not-loading and eventual confiscation of item if I didn't truck it the way they recommended. -I've contacted GovPlanet for the above issues over the past 6 months, and they have never gotten back to me to resolve these issues even though ************* says there will be a 48 hour turn around. Each time I call I end up repeating myself to 3-4 people and the last person says all they can do is put a report in the system and they are the highest person I can talk to. Nothing ever happens, no timeline, no resolution. The fox is managing the hen house. ln fact, to spite me today they have closed my account that I have had in good standing since 2017 and offered no explanation as to why. I feel its because I have pressed them for a solution and they want to try and bury the issue. This is discriminatory in my book. -So I am writing to you my lousy experiences with their inept customer support in the case that similar issues have also flooded in the past about this operation. If we had an umpire in a meeting such as yourself to discuss why nothing has been resolved in a timely manner, I am quite certain you would see how unequipped, uncaring and unethical this part of their operation is. I've had better fortune at other locations
