I will never do business with Stater Bros Markets again. They treated me with disrespect, they were unwilling to help until I made phone calls. Furthermore, the answer give to me about my issue was a falsehood. They took $750 from me for invalid gift cards, said the had to keep the gift cards, until later they said they were wring in keeping them. Followed by telling me I had redeemed them which is untrue the cards did not have all the necessary numbers. I could not have redeemed them and did not. They actually said their investigation company confirmed the were redeemed. **** companies name is **********. They would not give me their phone number or address. Furthermore, how I used them, on what and when. They have stolen $750 from one if their use to be loyal customers. On top of that I have spent nearly $100 in Lyft cost to travel back and forth trying to settle this matter. They now say I can pick the unless cards up and so go ahead contact the BBB they do not care. It will not help me. Please investigate the handling of this matter. One more note the day of purchasing said cards the cashier ***** used a box cutter to left the access strip. I asked her not to she replied, she had done this many times and knew what she was doing. I asked her again to please be careful it was my money, please do not damage the cards. She just continued.Stater Bros Markets Response

We went to the new Stater Brothers in ********* today for a few items and were going to use self-checkout. Once we got to checkout, literally all but one item in our cart rang up $2-3 more than the regular price listed on the shelf. We put the items back, and when we were leaving and trying to bring our cart back to the cart corral to be courteous to the employee that wouldve otherwise had to go bring the cart in from the sales floor, an employee ran up to us and nearly pushed my toddler out of the way to scan something on our empty cart. I called their corporate office to see if they knew about the pricing issue, as I dont believe its legal to list one price as the regular price and charge something different - especially significantly higher. The customer service rep told me I just cant read and it was probably a digital deal. It was not, as digital deals are clearly advertised on yellow cards with red print. I told her this, and she insisted Im misunderstanding their pricing labels. When I advised of the employees conduct, she again stated that I was just misunderstanding the employees actions. Id also give 0 stars if I could. This is a grocery chain youre going to want to avoid at all costs.Stater Bros Markets Response

I wish I could give it a zero. I am writing about a racial comment as well. It must be a pattern at Stater Brothers haha!! That makes me feel better as I know my issue is valid. ********************* Senior Director Employee Relations in Orange County inferred I was racist without know me nor my contributions to the community. We had a phone conversation and that was immediately where she went. ***************************** the supervisor at the human resources department is no better. He was more worried about his feelings than the issue at hand. He sounded like a grown man, so not sure his poor feelings were hurt. ******, really?? I was advocating for the discrimination against my special needs son. I wasn't thinking about hurting a grown man's feelings. I think they need some tolerance training. Have since stopped shopping and will continue to advocate against the racism and discrimination at Stater Brothers.Stater Bros Markets Response

Shopped at store #129 in Fullerton, CA This waa 4:30 PM today when my wife asked me to pick up 3 items: bread, milk and potatoes. Since I had a $100 bill, I thought, I may as wll get more of what we need. As I went down the isles to get the thee things my wife asked me to buy, I first found a happy apple pie, bannas and gala apples. I always buy the crisp galas! Then I turned left to get milk...but ran into apple and cranberry juices. I picked one of each. After another left turn, I found my sourdough bread. This morning I finished Kellog's corn flakes...so I had to get another large one. Then I went past ice creams and knew I had to pick one vanilla bean for tonight's apple pie. That would make ******'s day! For another scoop of vanilla bean tonight, I needed to bring home Keebler Sandies. Sure enough, this I found just around the next shelving corner. As I made my way to the checker, I picked up a few more items. In my mind, I figured I had racked up a bill of about $90. As it turned out, the total came to $60.63. I even had a savings of $2.50. Just think, going to Stater Brothers for bread, milk and potatoes, I found so many things I needed so conveniently arranged. I am amazed you did it all for me. I was able to get all my shopping done in a half hour, and be home for a hot meal at 5:15 PM. Thanks for your expert shelving. Even better, I thought I'd get $10 in change. Lo and behold I came home with $39.37...enough for another shopping trip. Thanks Stater Brothers!! I will be back soon.Review from Efren G

I have contacted Stater Bros four times now, no response. Two things I know about Stater Bros Pasadena. I can be assured I will find what I came to purchase. I also know not to rely on staff, which is rude, annoyed, unable to answer simple questions. Some of what I have experienced at Stater Bros Pasadena - ARGUMENT OVER XLNT CHILI. I asked the meat department if there was more chili to put on the shelf and I was told to direct my question to the people at the front of the store, to management. A cashier was irritated and rudely argued it is there, insisting we were looking in the wrong place. SLICING TURKEY HAM. I asked the meat department if they could slice a turkey ham. They were busy and told me to see if the deli could assist. LOST PHONE. I made three calls before someone was able to advise whether my phone had been found. When I arrived, the attendant seemed annoyed to have to stop to retrieve the phone. A heated petty argument emerged over my description of my phone to claim it. ALICIA’S RUDENESS. Most recently, I had to checkout at Register 9. Without fail something ALWAYS happens on 9 that backs up the line. Perhaps a customer was buying gift cards or refinancing his home but it took forever to complete his purchase. After waiting, I finally insert my card, the reader tells me to swipe, I swipe and it tells me to insert. Alicia has this attitude about my not following the screen. When it finally worked, I had to wait further as she couldn't print the receipt. Holding my head, I said “it’s always Register 9.” She snapped at me and said, "you should see how busy I am." Ripped the receipt from the printer, did not hand it to me in a professional nor courteous manner, greeted the next customer. No sorry for the inconvenience, not a thank you, no have a nice night. NADA. I am at the end of my ropes with the rudeness, the arrogance, the unprofessionalism, lack of assistance from the staff at Stater Bros Pasadena. I enjoy the store but not the customer service.Review from Matthew B

Went to Stater Bros in Big Bear Lake on 4/29 and someone cut in line. He knew the person in front of me and I believed they were together. But he placed his separator down. I didn't say anything then. But 2 more people came from behind me after. At first they were going to wait in line but the cutter told them to put their things with his. I confronted them at this point. They became aggressive and the manager came over. He sided with them claiming they were together and would not hear my side of the story. When I attempted to talk the manager became aggressive, raising his voice and pointing at me. I've been going to Stater Bros for over 30 years and I've never encountered such hostility.
