On Oct 31 ******* was taken out of my account and l had recently made an agreement for only ***** each month to be taken due to my financial situation and will let them know when l can resume larger payments. When l call to complain and request my money back was told the arrangement for the ***** was only for six months but l was never told that and Im upset and cancelled my service and l want my ****** back.Business Response

During this interaction we agreed upon reducing your monthly deposit to $25 a month for six months, resuming your regular deposit amount in October. Following this interaction a deposit change email was sent to you outlining the adjustments.

**Subject: Complaint Against Beyond Finance for Unjust Charges and Lack of Transparency**Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to formally file a complaint against Beyond Finance concerning unauthorized additional charges and inadequate transparency in their billing and communication processes.Initially, I engaged Beyond Finance to assist with the resolution of my total debt. However, I decided to cancel their services for a portion of the debt and successfully settled it independently for a lower amount than they had negotiated. I continued to work with Beyond Finance on the remaining debt resolutions and made payments as agreed.Recently, following a financial gain from the sale of my house, my wife and I decided to expedite the resolution process. I contacted Beyond Finance to request the total amount required to complete the remaining debt resolutions. They provided me with a specific amount, which I promptly paid in full, believing this would conclude my obligations.Despite this, I later discovered that Beyond Finance had scheduled further payments. After numerous attempts to seek clarification, I was informedover a month after my full paymentthat I allegedly still owe an additional $2,800. This revelation was made without prior notice or justification at the time of my inquiry and subsequent payment.This unexpected additional charge is unjustified, and Beyond Finance's approach has caused unnecessary confusion and financial strain. I demand the following actions to be taken:1. Immediate cancellation of the alleged additional charges.2. A comprehensive breakdown and explanation of any claimed outstanding balance.3. Hello, I called Beyond Finance regarding my 3 remaining bills. I asked if by some means they could adjust what payment since I am on medical leave for knee replacement. Instead my payment went up. I had called on September 29th and requested to cancel my enrollment with them, which they confirmed. They then did not cancel my enrollment, and failed to communicate this to me, so I went ahead and settled with the 3 remaining creditors. I had called the week after to ask about the timeline of cancellation and was told I would be getting refunded whatever was left in my dedicated account. The next week I called and this is when I was informed that my enrollment was not cancelled. I was then escalated to a manager who removed the 3 creditors I had settled with from my account. They took Resolution Fees for 2 out of the 3 creditors, Oct 22 for $2193 and the other was for $694 but I do not know when they took that one. This means for the $7581 in credit card debt I had enrolled that they had settled for $5017, I ended up paying $8486.70. They also charged an additional $25 a month for the account and service fees. This is a predatory company that makes money off of desperate people who have nowhere else to go. In addition to that, after my last account with them was paid, I was told by 2 different representatives and 1 supervisor that there would be no more biweekly deposits while my graduation was reviewed, then on 10/25/24 they took $287.10 from my bank account as a deposit, which ended up overdrafting my account because I am switching banks. Upon reviewing my Beyond Finance account, they are still scheduled biweekly through January. Whenever I try to get them to cancel it, they deny that there are any scheduled deposits, and that I will get a refund for the amount they accidentally took 7-10 days after my graduation is finalized. In total, they have taken $20,405.86 and all they did was ruin my credit for the next 7 years and made me pay more than the balance on the 3 accounts they settled.Business Response

Review of your program determined that during your interaction on September 29, ************************************************************************************ your dedicated account and then remove the remaining accounts. You did not elect to terminate the program at this time. In your subsequent communications the Account Manager removed the remaining accounts and your program was processed for graduation. This was completed on October 30, 2024 and a refund of your most recent payment plus your remaining balance was issued.
Regarding your fees, the figures provided in your communication do not take into account the two accounts that were in active resolution that you elected to remove prior to their completion. All fees earned on approved resolution offers were done within all established expectations. We have scheduled to have an account manager reach out to review your ledger in detail for your convenience.

I entered into a debt resolution agreement with Accredited debt relief on 9/16/24 and paid the first installment a week later. Before the next payment was due, I decided to cancel the program. I asked in email, text, on app and over the phone more than once to cancel. In email on 10/15 they said that I would receive an email confirming cancellation. I never received the cancellation email. They started calling 3 times a day. I spoke to them and they would not accept my request to cancel. The *** just kept talking. I would say please cancel then they would keep talking. I asked 5 times on one call to cancel. They were trying to ***eatedly pry into my decision to cancel. The emails that was sent to me said" We encourage you to answer our call to finalize the process,." I answer the call and all they do is bully me into not cancelling. OVER & OVER & OVER! I said No! please cancel ***eatedly.I let them know in email that I was going to file a compliant with BBB.All I want is to cancel this program and a refund of what is due minus the fee for one month of their "negotiations"Business Response

At this time you indicated that you may still call back to terminate prior to your next scheduled payment.

I used this company to payoff debts. I graduated in January 2022, so I think everything is paid off and I am good to go! WRONG. I received a collections letter Oct. 2, 2024 about an account that they supposedly paid $7520 to resolve the debt. I've been fighting with them ever since to get the payoff letter from the creditor. I contacted the creditor directly, but because the account had been sold, they cannot access any information. I think I need to contact a lawyer, but I can't afford one.Business Response

They told me that the maximum for the program was 5 years. There were 2 debts that were enrolled in program that they later said could not be enrolled so I called to get my monthly payment lowered due to having to pay those bills and because they were not part of the original agreement anymore. They lowered my payment. Then I noticed they changed it from 5 years to 6 years without telling me. Now they are saying the original people are only allowed to do 5 years but they can later change to 6 years. They also tell you when you join that they take no payment from you until your debt is resolved and they took 1500 out of the 1700 that I have paid so far for their payment. These conversations were recorded. Please get these conversations from them and listen. They are lying to people and then they are just adding year without telling you.Business Response

Additionally, at the time of your enrollment, the agent reviewed with you how and when Beyond Finance earns our fee. This information was provided both verbally and in writing. It can be referenced in your enrollment agreement and reads as follows:
"Program fees are due and earned when: (i) the Company reaches a resolution offer on an enrolled debt with a creditor, (ii) the Client accepts and agrees to the new terms, and (iii) the first payment of the new agreed upon terms is made to the creditor."
Beyond Finance met all established expectations to earn the fee related to your authorization resolution.

When we enrolled in Beyond Finance debt solutions we were told legal services would be provided if a creditor decided to sue for debt owed to them. Well this is not the services they have provided. The created legal response and was given to us to file and no representation provided. The reason we enrolled in the first place was to work out with our creditors our debt. If we knew from the start they would not be providing this as they had stated we would have found another debt consolidation service that takes care of their clients!Business Response

I contracted with Beyond Finance to settle one loan debt. They determined what the monthly amount would be from my bank account. They only paid three months of a 6 month settlement taking their fees first. I ended up having to pay the loan company three months on the day they called or it would return to the original amount.Beyond Finance would not return the $2000 fees they took even though they failed to complete the contract. They misrepresented themselves and others should be made aware of fraudulent claims.Business Response

I closed my account and was told that I would receive the balance that was in my account and I didn't receive it. So when I called back I was told that my refund was used to cover 25% in fees.Business Response
