The credit bureaus keep disrespecting the law . I have showed them multiple times how they are violating the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT .According to 15 U.S.C 1681s-2(a)(1)(A) and (B)to report inaccurate information According to 15 USC 168i(15) the credit bureaus have to modify or Delete fraud Account that are not reporting accurately. According to 15 USC 1681b(1) the credit bureaus dont have no written permission. According to 15 USC 1681 have the right to privacy According to 15 USC 168s- 2 A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate . (B) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors According to 15 USC 1681 I have the right to privacy According to 15 USC 1681s-2 A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. On 2/5/24 I applied for on-line loan to company named Lightstream. *************) I was contacted and told in order to receive the loan it needed to boost my credit score and show a payment transaction to receive the funds requested. After the application he sent me instructions via text message on what and how to receive the funds. He stated the funds would be deposited into my account (North Carolina State ********************** via two deposits. Once I received the first deposit I had to send the funds back via a wire transfer. The money was deposited into my account which they did via mobile transaction. The funds posted to my account I withdrew and sent the money back to them via cash app. $KenziRoyale $1975.00. The next day the bank contacted me and informed me that fictitious checks were deposited. I in returned discovered the checks were from some ***************** I called the lending company and explained and inquired. The lender then proceeded to send me instructions via text messages on what to tell the bank. Based from the text messages I discovered it was a scam. Because my teenager daughter and I have joint shared accounts. The credit union took my daughters money from her savings to pay back the funds. I called the police where I live in Raliegh and did a police report. I have the messages from the lending company. I have the cash app transaction receipt. I never had the checks in my possession or saw them. The lending company desposited into my account via their mobile app or wire transfer.Business Response

All of a sudden my 2 laptops and my phone are not recognized , and instead of emailing or texting an OTP code they want to CALL me ... but they never do .. .so i cannot log into my accountBusiness Response

I filled out an application for a loan. I was contacted by someone claiming to be *********************. He told me that to secure the loan he was going to send me money and have me send it back as a proof that I was trustworthy. He threatened me with arrest if I did not give the money back and claimed that he had not received the money and instructed me to buy a gift card. I bought two gift cards and was scammed for $1200. I told my spouse who looked up LightStream and saw that it was a scam.Business Response

I am not the first to file a complaint against this business regarding this matter. If someone has created a spoofed site then the real LightStream should probably do something to prevent this from happening because through the BBB their rating is at the bottom.Business Response

On February 16th I applied for a loan. On the 17th I received an approval letter. They deposited $1400 into my bank account and me return it to them by cash app in two different names and told me the loan would be deposited into my account within 1 hour. But instead they changed the pin on my bank account and I had no access. So I had to put a freeze on my account. I believe this was fraud by this companyBusiness Response

I was notified via credit monitoring service that an inquiry from Lightstream was done on 3/2/24. I have not now, or in past applied for or approved anyone running my credit for a loan with this company. I do not do "online" loans. Any loans I need I do through my bank. I attempted to call this company, however they do not have a phone number listed to contact them.I sent an email on 3/3/24. I cannot use my credit,as I have now placed a freeze with all 3 bureaus. I was notified that the inquiry was with TransUnion. This company wrongly and illegally checked and maybe even a loan was taken out in my name. All of which was not authorized by me. I would like any and all inquiries removed from my report (as I stated alert was only with Transunion). I would also like to ensure that this company does not keep a record of my info and that theyre are no active accounts with Lightstream as I have not authorized any.Business Response

I was sent a text by a loan company saying there were Light Stream and that I was approved for up to ***** loan I chose $3000 loan they took all my cranking information down deposited $1600 in my checking account to verify me as a customer and d instructed me to pay it back through cashapp they the payment didnt go through completion with Cashapp.. and that it kicked back to my bank account and that I should repeat the process again I concluded something isnt right and discontinued contact with them..now they had my bank account frozen with restrictionsand have threaten to have agents come to my home/job and arrest mewhat do I do nowBusiness Response

I paid a insurance company $340 to start insurance and only had it for 2 weeks and the policy was canceled and after I was told the payment every month would have been for $140 every month after that. Well since my policy was canceled I called to get my money back and first was forwarded to to another number that has let me know that their company provided 2vweeks of service for $180 which is more than the actual payment. Then they sent me back to the original number and said that the rest is on the first company I called. So when I call them back they said they had a no refund policy on the money which I was never let aware of ever until that second.Business Response
