Awful ***************** Staff with poor knowledge. Ignorant of their own procedures and unwilling to offer any help.I had a loan w/ Lightstream for many years and made all my payments on time. When I hit some hard times, I followed through with their payment relief program. When the end of my terms w/ their relief program were coming up, I reached out early multiple times to discuss my options. I asked for extensions and payment plans. All of their employees just referred me to applying for an extension. Every time I was denied. I told them I didn't want to become negligent. I want to work with them to pay this loan back. Different employees told me different things. "I had to wait until the end of my next pay period", "I had to actually be negligent to update any payment plans", "I had to completely end the payment relief program to discuss new payment options". I followed, confirmed and checked in multiple times and still at the end of the program was told there was nothing they could do. I checked in and explained how I had reached out early and their final statement was that I needed to wait 90 days until my account was past due. Only then would another department be able to discuss a payment plan. This sounded foolish to me, but I confirmed in on different days w/ different employees. All of whom confirmed this. SO, I waited. And Lightstream checked in every month asking me for payments, where I had to refer them to their own notes about my account. And again. Every employee I spoke w/ confirmed that at the end of the 90s I would be contacted to discuss a payment plan. Once those 90 days. I spoke with an agent and they said I would be contacted shortly. Months went by and today I was charged $700 as an offset w/ no warning. When I log in, all my information is wiped. All history of my previous records were inaccessible. Absolute Joke and I am left to be a fool.

Really hard to work with. Their automatic/AI paystub parsing program couldn't read my husband's paystub. We tried to get a human to look at it, but they just kept sending the same automated notice that it was missing information that was clearly right there on the form.

About one week ago, I received a call from someone allegedly working for LightStream Finance telling me that I was eligible for a loan. Believing that this was a legitimate company with a legitimate application process, personal and banking information was taken over the phone. Afterwards, I was told to input information into the bank verification portal that was accessed via a link that was emailed to me. on the portal, I provided my name, social security number and phone number, the name of my financial institution, the user name and password to the mobile application. I was also told by this gentleman that a small amount would be deposited into the account to verify the account and that I had to go send it back. I was also told that by doing this, this would increase my credit score. Well, the amounts deposited into my account were returned back via making payments at ******* off of my debit card. I was informed by one of my creditors that a payment made three months ago was reverese, and it was then that I discovered that several payments taken out of my checking account were reversed. On top of that, two checks were deposited into my account that turned out to be fraudulent and a third check is being held for a week by the bank for verification. The fraud was reported to my bank and my local law enforcement agency. The bank tells me I am on the hook for nearly $1000 from the fraudulent checks and how I have to go back to those I paid bills to out of my account and explain the fraud that has happened to me. This needs to be investigated before someone else becomes a victim of these scammers.

NEVER USE. Scam 100% They actually threatened me that a black car would be at my house in 30 minutes when I closed my credit card AND changed my actual checking account number when I realized I was being scammed. I have the voicemail. They also told me in that same voicemail to "stay safe". I was at my ********** branch closing all my accounts and they listened to that voicemail. They heard that I literally was being threatened. ***** gave me the non emergency police phone number due to the actual threat that was made. This lender told me to go outside and look for the black car. Of course I didn't take their threats that seriously but enough to lock my door and look out my window. These people should be put in jail.

THERE IS A SCAM. Not with the company LightStream themselves, but someone is using this company name as their own. My friend was interested in applying for a loan and when he reached out, someone had sent $500 to his bank account. They then asked him to "put it back on a pre-paid gift card" and they would send him a $5,000 loan in return. LUCKILY, my friend called me and I immediately told him that sounded like a red flag. I was able to call the actual company of LightStream and I spoke with ***** who told us that it's definitely a scam and that she didn't even see his name in their systems. She gave me an email address that I can report the scammers to and was extremely helpful! LightStream itself seems like a great company, but PLEASE be on the lookout for any fishy activity from people pretending to be this reputable company! We were lucky!

I applied for a loan and they contacted me and set me up to receive $7000 loan from them. They told me the need to boost my credit rating and would need to add money to my checking account. They proceeded to deposit $399 into my checking account and told me I had to send that back to them. I went to a ******* and loaded $395 to a bar code that they sent to me. The loan officer **** assured me that they were posting a credit to my account. He also said after doing this the loan would be deposited into my account. Well nothing happened that day . When I spoke to **** the next day he said my score still wasn't high enough so they would do another deposit of $399 and to send back $395. Which I did to another bar code that he sent me. Well low and behold when I checked m, account they hadn't deposited any money but my bank said that the checks they deposited bounced, and I was charged $792 which put my bank account in the negative. I called **** and told him what happened, he said "I'll check with my team and see what happened and he would call me back". Well when I didn't hear from him I called and left several messages. He never returned my call, I sent him the screenshot of my bank saying the checks bounced and told him this need to be rectified. The last time I called the phone number had been disconnected and was no longer in service. So I'm never got the loan and have to pay back this $790 to my bank not sure if this a scam or what. I applied for a loan and they contacted me and I've got the loan papers the sent me to signed. Not sure what anyone can do about this but I want it to be known that this company is unscrupulous in their dealings with the public

SCAM, SCAM!Lightstream Finance is a fraudulent business who offers personal loans. They obtain your personal info, then make small $250.00 bogus deposit to "Ensure that the remaining loan amount funds will be properly deposited, then they require you to return the $250 to them using your bank account. They use a legit Garage Door business out of ******* for that deposit. My bank rejected the deposit due to "fraudulent activity". I called the Garage Door Business to inform them that a remote online check was deposited to my account by ********************** Financial. They are aware of the situation and there's an open ******************************** (***) has an OPEN CASE on LIGHTSTREAM FINANCE, Phone # begins with area code (956)!

The company privacy policy states they will not share your information. Immediately after applying for a loan, I receive 2 - 3 calls per day for telemarketing and find in my account the option to turn off information sharing. *********** lies to the customer and promises privacy, then sells your information behind your back. Liars and they should be criminally prosecuted.
