I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience with BuyAutoParts. Below are the details of my issue:1. Shipping Costs Dispute:I followed all steps outlined in the email communication regarding the shipping process. Initially, I was informed that shipping costs would be covered. However, despite following the instructions, I was neither sent a shipping label nor reimbursed for the shipping. Upon contacting customer service, I was told that the shipping costs would not be covered, contrary to the previous assurance.2. **************** Concerns:During my interactions with your customer service representatives, I was treated disrespectfully. Specifically: The representative named **** was unprofessional. The supervisor, ********, failed to address my concerns despite my multiple attempts to escalate the issue. I called to speak with the supervisor six times, and each time, I was either ignored or my calls were not answered, even after the customer service team confirmed that she would take my calls. On several occasions, your team hung up on me, further compounding my frustration.I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I trusted BuyAutoParts to handle my issue fairly and professionally, but this has not been the case.Resolution Requested:1. Reimbursement or coverage of my shipping costs, as initially promised.2. A written apology for the disrespectful treatment I received from your representatives, including **** and ********.3. Thank you for reaching out regarding your recent experience with your order and the issue's you've had with our representative. As you mentioned we do provide a return label for the return of your defective product, if you did not receive the label, all you needed to do was contact us and we could have emailed you a label right then and there so you didn't have to pay for return shipping. We unfortunately cannot refund any amount of shipping you paid to send the items back as its outside of your order details and we have no way to refund something you did not purchase from us. I understand that this is frustrating, but there is nothing I can do about your shipping costs other than offer you a $40 store credit towards a future purchase which I will notate on your account. You have one full year to use the credit for anything we sell. You can only use the credit by placing the order over the phone, there is no code for this to be used online.
Furthermore, I would like to apologize for the experience you had and that you felt you were not treated properly. I will review the phone calls you made to our company with the representative and will address any concerns I come across after reviewing those. I understand that this is not the solution you were looking for but hope that you understand that we cannot refund something (shipping) that you did not purchase from us. In the future if you have something to return with our company and do not receive a label, please contact us so one can be sent to you while you are on the phone with us.Thank you again for bringing this to my attention, have a great day.

Back in March of this year (03/2024) I bought a drive shaft from buyautoparts.com with a 100$ 5 year warranty. In less than 4 months the driveshaft broke and was defective. I had proof of the driveshaft being faulty from two different mechanics. Not only did buyautoparts.com refuse to give a refund, but they offered me store credit for the $1200 purchase. I told them I will think on accepting the store credit. I called them back to accept the store credit and now they tell me I need to send them back the broken part ON MY DIME ship them a ****************************** order to get store credit. I told them the previous *** did not tell me that I had to send the part back and I no longer have it. They told me they see on the notes that I AM CORRECT AND SHE DID NOT MENTION SENDING PART BACK FOR STORE CREDIT, and they are sorry but there is nothing they can do. So this company got away with selling me a defective car part that could have threatened my life if i did not get it checked, for $1200 and will not stand by their product in anyway besides offering to send me another driveshaft after I already spend 2000$ buying and paying for labor to install a new one.Business Response

Thank you for your email. I apologize for any confusion, what I show on our end is that you contacted us stating that the part was defective and that you had already purchased the replacement from another company and wanted to return yours for refund. To be clear, once a part is installed, the part falls under warranty as it's no longer new and un-used to be returned for refund. Our Warranty Policy only covers replacements. We offer two options for replacements as shown on our website (*********************************************) Option 1 is that you would send your defect to us and we would replace it under warranty, Option 2 is that you could pay a deposit to get the replacement sooner, and the deposit gets refunded when the defect is returned. For both options a prepaid return label would have been sent for the return of the defective part. You would not have had to pay to ship it back to ***
When you were offered a replacement, you declined as you already purchased another one, so they offered to make an exception and take it back for store credit. However, it looks like when you called back to initiate the store credit, you stated that your Mechanic disposed of the part. Without a part to send back we cannot issue either a replacement or store credit. We would not advise a customer to dispose of a part as we take all of our defects back in order to proceed with any options mentioned. Therefore without a part to return we cannot assist you further. as I stated previously when I first called about your failed car part, your representative DID NOT MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT KEEPING THE BROKEN PART FOR A REFUND. When I told this to a different representative later on from your company they apologized to me and said that I should have been told that on the first call. So once again like I stated previously you are putting your inept representatives mistakes on your customers lap. I purchased an AC kit for my 2013 Tacoma. Included in the kit is an AC condenser. The condenser failed 1.5 days after installation. I will note Im a multiple ASE master certified tech with AC certification, have worked as a tech for more than 30 years. Due to the current weather I purchased a replacement condenser from the local Napa and installed it at work. I filed a claim through Buy Auto Parts web site. Several days later they offered to have me pay for another part ($150.00) to replace the failed one and have me ship them the failed part for inspection and would refund my secondary cost once the returned parts was verified failed. I replied to their message seven times to include an offer to give them a copy of my receipt from Napa showing date of purchase and my cost. *** sent their customer service 7 emails asking for a response to any of my inquiries. Ive received no response since the first offer to pay for another part. I want a shipping label to return the failed part and a refund of the cost of original part purchased. Here is a pasted copy of their only reply.Hello,Thank you for your warranty inquiry. We stand behind our part warranty and will be glad to work with you on getting a replacement. We offer two options for replacement of defective parts: 1. We can ship out a replacement right away with a temporary deposit of $150.00, which would be refunded back to you once we receive the defective part back.Or 2. I placed an order online with this company in May, 2024. they list that parts are available when they are not. I received an email on May 13 stating my order has been cancelled and my payment has NOT been refunded yet.It is now July 24 and still no refund.when I try to contact company I get no call back, online messaging does not work and phone just goes to a message machine.Business Response

I ordered new turbo chargers for my truck on 7/15/23 by 9/2023 one of the turbos fail they sent me replacements and now those have failed and buy auto parts is refusing to do anything about it.Business Response

We apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced with the parts purchased through our company. As you're aware the turbos purchased came with a 12 month warranty from date of purchase (7/17/2023). We sent replacement turbo's 9/2023 but the warranty does not start over with the replacement parts, the warranty goes by date of purchase. Therefore when you contacted us 7/23/2024 the warranty had already expired. We are no longer able to send replacements for these parts under warranty, but we would be happy to work with you on a discount towards the purchase of a new part. Please contact our sales department should you decide to purchase new parts, I will be sure to leave a note approving a discount towards a new purchase. The turbo failed on 7-5-24. It took the shop a little bit to diagnose the problem. So when the turbo failed the warranty was still good.
I will never buy anything for this company again.

This company is a straight rip off . I spent $271 on an air compressor kit a week ago I told them it got delivered to the wrong address they confirmed it was the wrong address . I told them I wanted a refund and they have yet to respond .Business Response

I ordered parts from this company on 2/26/2024 and my credit card was charged $91.37 but no parts were ever shipped or received. Attempts to contact any sort of customer service are futile as the phone number leads only to a answering machine and multiple messages left resulted in no call back. Attempts to contact customer service by e-mail also result in no response. Stay away from this merchant if it is even an actually a merchant. We paid a considerable amount of extra $ for next day shipping and there was no effort made to get us our product next day. They make very little to no effort to communicate any effort to make amends to resolve this. Many attempts were made to contact them about trying to resolve and they refuse to make any amends. Ordered a part for my semi truck on February 16 and still have not received it yet as of March 12 2024. Contacted the seller and they haven't even reach back out to me to resolve the issue.
