      Restomods has been taking a monthly amount of $12.95 for a sweepstakes I entered. They said my ticket purchase automatically made me a member and monthly charge for continued sweepstakes entries were charged. It's in the fine print!

      Customer was spoken to over the phone regarding his initial signup for the membership and renewals, affirmed we would refund him for his renewals leading back to his initial signup. Confirmed that customer received the welcome email and receipt of purchase for the membership, however the customer claimed that they did not intend to stay signed up and only wanted to be entered for one sweepstakes. The membership signup page clearly indicates the $12.95 ******** Membership is a recurring charge every 30 days, with our official rules clearly stating that we have multiple methods of entry, including a free mail-in method. If a customer would like to support our business but not sign up for a membership, they can make a one-time purchase for merchandise on our store page instead.

      Restomods provides absolutely no option for account deletion on their website, nor do they offer any way to request that your personal information be deleted. This isnt about canceling a membershipit's about wanting all information tied to an account removed from their database and stopping unwanted emails. Theres no option on their site, and they don't even mention how you can go about deleting your account. This is unacceptable and should concern anyone who values their privacy. I challenge anyone to create an account and then try to find a way to delete itgood luck.

      The easiest and simplest way to have your information deleted from our systems is by simply emailing our customer support at ********************************************************, or calling our customer support number. We will never refuse a request to have information deleted from our systems. You can also click the "1-click Unsubscribe" button at the bottom of our marketing emails to be removed from our mailing list. As per his request, I've gone ahead and removed all of his information from both our marketing list, and our free-user dashboard. We do appreciate his feedback regarding having an easier method for customers to request to have their information removed, and have submitted a request to update our privacy policy to include simple language explaining that anyone can request to have tehir information removed by getting in contact with our customer support. For reference, customer information is never used or sold to any third parties. We use customer information solely to get in contact with them regarding order complications or in the case that we need to contact the winner; and for email marketing for our own brand, which can be opted-in or opted-out of at any time.

      I didn't sign up for this sweepstakes let alone them taking $12.95 EVERY MONTH without my knowledge!!! I have tried to unsubscribe over & over. I am sick of them doing this! I'm not into old cars or anything. Please help me...

      Hi *******!

      After looking over your account it appears that you had signed up back in February during our '68 Charger Sweepstakes, and that you had purchased the RestoMods ******** Membership for $12.95 through one of our ******** ads. You should have received a "Welcome Email" that includes a receipt of your purchase, a confirmation of the membership, as well as a link with login information to access your account to see your total entries, access your benefits, and use your discounts. It also looks like you had contacted our customer support shortly after submitting this complaint, to which our support team was able to both cancel your membership for you, and offer you a refund for the recent renewal on April 21st, which had entered you into our current sweepstakes for the '69 Chevelle that started on April 9th. If you're not satisfied with this resolution, I'd be happy to follow up with you personally to ensure no action is required on your end.

      I entered a sweepstakes with this company for what I thought was a one time opportunity to win a car. At no point was it ever clear I was signing up for a membership. To make matters even worse, I did not receive an email notification or receipt indicating my card on file was being charged every month. I randomly found the charges by happenstance. They are purposely misleading consumers like myself under the guise of entering a one-time sweepstakes. They also send misleading emails with other sweepstakes making it seem like you need to enter for a chance to win although you are already entered to win under this bogus membership.

      We make it evidently clear on our website, confirmation emails, and social media pages that the membership is only one way to enter our sweepstakes, and is in fact a monthly renewing membership that earns customers benefits on our website, including discounts in our store and with our partners, access to our monthly e-magazine, access to our custom-built classifieds, monthly entries, and more by logging in. Whenever a customer signs up for the membership (regardless of where they signed up), a "welcome email" is sent to their email address which confirms they have in fact signed up for a membership that will renew monthly, which also includes their new member information (username and login) as well as a link directly to our login page. I see that the customer in regards to this complaint signed ** in July, at which point they were in fact emailed the welcome email which was "completed" meaning the login link used in the email was clicked at least one time. I have also re-sent this email to the customer after receiving this complaint, to which the customer hasn't responded or confirmed they've received it, and has no interaction history with our support team whatsoever. As for entering our sweepstakes without the membership, we clearly state all of our methods of entry in our official rules (***************************************), which includes buying merchandise from our store as a one-time purchase which earns them entries based on the dollar amount spent times the current bonus multiplier, sending a 3x5 post card to ******************************* who runs our drawings for us, opting in for text-message marketing, as well as adding a vehicle to their virtual garage on the website. Any customer is welcome to reach out to us via email or phone call, at which point we're happy to resolve a customers issues right then and there, which includes cancelling the membership for them and/or offering them refunds for membership renewals that were not intended.

      Tried several times to cancel subscription. It's confusing and i still end up charged.I don't use the service and have only logged into the site when attempting to cancel. I can't ignore the charges and just want the subscription to end.

      I purchased what I though was a one time fee to enter a raffle for car that was posted. I didn't realize this company was charging me a reoccurring membership. 2 years this company go me for charges for something I have never used with nothing to show for it. 1 $9.00 bid for an auction that I was taken for close to $220.00. Do not do any business with this company. They do not care and just want your money and pass themselves off as being legit. Make the auction legit next time. Make it about the car that people might be interested in and not a means to entrap people to spending more money. I reached out to try and resolve this and basically was just looked as an asset. I stated that I have never logged on to their site and used my supposed membership on anything. That statement was true. We they do is something else. I want what I put in minus the auction fee it was intended for.
